- One wouldn't think that the high-minded Mage: The Awakening first edition core would be too amusing, particularly while discussing the Death arcanum, but thanks to the Death 2 "Soul Jar" spell, we learn that you can construct a trap for a disembodied human spirit in a Tupperware container.
- The Seers of the Throne sourcebook mentions that early in the Seers' history, they had to sit down and seriously discuss the future. Only one commonality emerged: nearly everyone said they should be in a leadership position.
- The Abyssal Intruders sourcebook, being about all the lovecraftian Eldritch Abominations from the Abyss, obviously is Nightmare Fuel for the most part. That is, until you get to that small section where they warn you about what the Abyss is not intended to be. The first is an endless source of splatterpunk horror à la Resident Evil (which the book bothers to point out applies for the game or the movie). The second is "a ceaseless torrent of anime tentacle porn".
- The Life 2 Heightened Senses spell, as its name suggests, enhances all the user's already existing senses, including touch. Its description makes sure to mention us it's a highly popular spell among hedonistic Mages.
- The 2E corebook has this gem on the subject of revealing someone else's Shadow Name. It's revealing a secret, frankly, like shouting a lover's favorite sexual position in the middle of family dinner. It happens, but it's a good way to lose your seat at family dinner.
