• Jaeyun's backstory tends to have a lot of this, since he was an amazing mercenary, but a really, REALLY bad gambler.
  As a soldier of fortune he won treasure beyond counting – at least he never counted it himself before he gambled it away.
  • Among his stories, there's one where he scared a giant by claiming that for the fight to be fair, he would use only a wooden stick. He reads the story and says that the reason he had no weapon or armor is that he lost them in a bet, but needed the money. "Lucky break finding that stick".
  • He got Three Wishes by saving a unicorn-lion... and promptly lost them at poker with a fox spirit^note Yumiko. He lost FOUR wishes. He had to grant a wish himself.
  • He earned 2 copper/hour delivering barbecue. Work is work.
  • He's STILL betting in Valhalla. Usually, betting on himself in the tournaments. One time he bet that he was going to be the first one to greet his oponent, only to lose because Kaya was in a very good mood that day.
  • Also, his badass Rugged Scar? He lost an eye rescuing a cat from a tree.
• Maygar uses his 100 souls Voice of the Legion to be a single-man baritone section in the Asgardian Halloween Spooktacular Choir.
• Reno's Dirty Harry-esque badass quote is slightly ruined by a lack of skill in math.
  Reno:"These are four six-shooters. That’s uh, four plus two, carry the one… that’s twenty-six bug-bullets. Are you feeling lucky?"

Skins

• Bödvar-mania, complete with folding chair hammer.

• The fact that the all-powerful, cruel, and evil alien Lord Vraxx got a Princess Bubblegum skin.

• Match Point Roland, the tennis-themed skin, complete with salmon colored shirt and a tennis racket for a sword.
• Secret Santa Thatch which looks like Thatch put on a mall Santa outfit and is just doing his usual things.

• Deep One Azoth if mostly for the fact that the majority of the skin is octopus.
• Tengu Koji, mostly thanks to YouTuber PAWTPIE's videos.

• Double Cross looks straight out of a stylized 20's mob movie, minus the gunfists.
• Brawl Dad Isaiah using a grill as a Cannon and squirt bottle Blasters.
• Thor By The Shore with a flamingo Hammer and a pina colada Orb.
• First Day Asuri turns the badass tiger guardian into a Cute Kitten with overalls. Her sword is now safety scissors and her katars are set square rulers emblazoned with happy kitty faces.
• Punkin Spice Yumiko. Not only is her skin description a Take That! to the overabundance of pumpkin-flavored food during fall, but also her rather intimidating graveyard-themed weapons have unexpectedly hilarious names: "ded" and "LOL RIP".

In Game

• Clashes, although widely disliked make a pathetic sound followed by both legends getting launched in opposite directions.
• The "Shrug" taunt being the shortest in the game, and therefore the only one that's able to survive being slide-charged off of Small Brawlhaven.
• Xull's Axe side signature involves him grabbing his opponent and slamming them into the floor before hitting them again for the launch.
• Zariel's Gauntlets neutral signature had an animation update that made them grab their opponent by the face instead of the torso.
• It turns out that Thor's goofy smile persists into his KO expression, missing a tooth.^note This does not apply to Draugr and Cinderguard Thor, however.
• The Bananaguard Lance^note Part of Lord Vraxx's Princess Bubblegum skin has some interesting neutral sig.
  • Change the fighter's color to green and the lance will basically become a pickle.
• Any weapon skin that makes it look nothing like the original weapon (aside from being shaped so that it matches the original weapon's hitbox can be funny, such as John Cena^note Skin of Hattori using a fire hydrant for a sword and a ladder for a spear.
  • To make it even funnier, you can use the same weapon skins in other characters and other skins, so you can have your fighter have a complete mess of concepts. Why yes, that pirate is dressed in a fancy outfit, uses a fire hydrant to summon spirit sharks and his crossbows made out of school supplies somehow shoot cannonballs! And that's without adding the layer of madness that is Switchcraft...
• The Sunset Drive taunt has the character jump into a roofless car and "drive" towards an horizon. If another player taunts nearby, they'll ride the other seat. However, what happens when the original player stops taunting but the second player doesn't? The car and sun dissapear, but the second player remains sitting in mid-air.
• One of the new emotes in the Order of the Exalted Lion Battle Pass is called "The order's secret salute". If we take this at face value it means that this mysterious, centuries long secret order dedicated to the erradication of supernatural menaces had a secret salute involving clapping and a silly end pose, more fitting for a children's secret club.
• The Street Fighter crossover skins are the first characters with voice acting, with them doing their typical Calling Your Attacks. This remains into Switchcraft mode, so whoever gets the Street Figther sigs will also get the yelling. Now you get to see a big burly orc shouting "Spinning Bird Kick!" in Chun-Li's voice or a young eskimo girl yelling Ryu's signature "HADOKEN!"
• The crossover with Avatar: The Last Airbender added a new KO effect where the knocked character apparently crashes off-screen with an old friend of the group...
