We know Dusk spent 400 years in prison forging the orb. We also know Petra grew up in a prison world, Terminus. 400 years seems like a really long time to just spend on trying to make a weapon out of rocks and magic, it’s rather likely he could have had a child with someone in that time frame. When he escaped, the child didn’t make it out. Or at least not in his sense, they were left behind in Terminus. Then take into consideration Petra’s orb is a weird magic crystal. Although they don’t really look alike apart from white hair and blue eyes (since her red eye comes from the Darkheart infection), children inherit genetics from both their parents. Genetics would be even more scattered for someone who may only be his granddaughter. So basically Dusk probably had a child while in prison, they tried to escape, Dusk died and ended up in Valhalla. The child lived in Terminus, with what could have been more magical rocks, and either the child or their own offspring is Petra.Even though we know Dusk’s prison as Elondil Prison, “Terminus” could easily be a name used by inmates or after its destruction/abandonment, as it derives from “terminate”, or end.
In Mirage's bio is stated that she's met Orion before and that he's gone by different names. Hildr and Völst were his names in the Brawlhalla alpha, so it may be one of the names he used before.
Not only is the battle pass space-themed, but the rewards include icons based on space-related characters (Orion, Vraxx, Reno). One of the icons included is one called "Starchampion's Legacy".Besides, he's been part of the bios of characters all the way to Lord Vraxx, so it would be about time that he appears.
