The Holy Sword Duology (Two Knights and First Knight)
  • First Knight and the Holy Sword:
    • While Aldo's Chronic Hero Syndrome has earned him some ribs from his fellow party members, it doesn't usually bother him - if anything, he tends to take pride on it. In this episode, however, Deirdre snarks about this trait of his, and for the first time Aldo actually takes offense.
(while talking about recruiting more people for the La Résistance)
Deirdre: Well, I'm sure our expert people-pleaser *cough* Aldo! *cough* would be perfect for that sort of thing.
Aldo: (frowning) What do you mean by that?! You make it sound like a bad thing!
Radias: No objections here. We should keep recruiting until Aldo is as happy as a clam.
    • One of the optional recruits for the La Résistance is for the cook position. The candidate is an elderly man who loves shelter crab so much that he treats it as a Serious Business, and ends up sulking when the tavern he usually loiters in finally ran out of the menu - because he orders so many of them more than they can provide.

    IDA School Trilogy
  • In "Absolute Zero Chain", you'll have to travel to IDA school through the Air Tube. Cut to Aldo barely hanging onto the end of his hoverboard while Riica marvels at his “unorthodox technique”.
  • The Wooden Lance, Staff of Light, and Dry Bow, obtained by doing a Fetch Quest for various IDA School NPCs, are literally a tree in a pot, a lamppost, and a clothes hangar respectively. The second one is offered to you after a cutscene where one of the delinquents rips it from the ground.
  • By the second and third IDA episodes, Aldo runs into the other Occult Writers (who aren't the one that recruited him in the first place). They're depicted in a zombie-like slump, starved for their next scoop. The game cranks up the imagery by having them constantly shudder in place while emanating a shadowy smog. They don't have a walk cycle — they just shudder across the screen when they move.
    • In Jade's 5-star upgrade quest, the Occult Writer herself falls victim to such a slump! She only manages to break out of it the moment she hears of a potential scoop to write about.
Jade: Is this a new type of enemy?
  • An in-built Anti Frustration Feature in the "Lord of Mana" Game Within a Game lets Aldo swat away an enemy that he greatly outranks. This means that an aggressive but weak enemy can chase the party halfway across the map, only for Aldo to turn around and swat it away once it catches up.

Ocean Palace Duology ( 1000 Year Ark and 3000 Year Ark)
  • In the "1000 Ark of the Dragon Palace" Episode, Aldo meets Sheila, the current incarnation of Otohime who was ousted from the throne. They find the culprit behind this... and as it turns out, the Minister has several good reasons for wanting Sheila out of power, even though his methods were a bit forceful.
    • While progressing the episode, the party regularly runs into a sentry who must be bribed to continue. The first time, he demands a trivial sum of 100 Atlantis Pearls. The second time, though, he asks for 110,000. Aldo is startled at his greed, though this sudden surge can also be attributed to the hyperinflation caused by Sheila's incompetence. Made even funnier by the fact that, when you bring him the pearls, he is so stunned that he leaves his post without taking the bribe.
    • One of the squids in the Palace is upside-down, including his dialogue. And he refuses to admit, claiming to the very end that everybody is upside-down except him.
  • "The 3000 Realm Ark and the Sea Abyss":
    • In Chapter 1, the party landed by accident on the outside of Siren's Village while trying to escape from a giant kraken (that they mistook for a siren) and ended up unconscious. For whatever reason, Aldo ended up being knocked out longer than usual, and because the sirens in the village are unfamiliar with human men, he ended up being mistaken for a driftwood while unconscious and freaking all of the sirens out when he finally woke up. Everyone in the village then continued to refer him as "the driftwood" for much of the chapter, much to his chagrin. Even funnier, if the player already has Pizzica in the roster before this happens, she somehow failed to notice Aldo too.
Siren Lady: I-I think that driftwood just moved...
Pizzica: No, really? It certainly is a huge, gorgeous piece of driftwood. But it moves, too?
      Sheila: Driftwood?
Aldo: (wakes up) Ugh. Where are we?
Siren Lady: Eeeek! The driftwood spoke?!
Siren Girl: A-And it stood up?!
      Siren Grandma: Aaahhh! Paranormal experience!
Aldo: Wha?! Wait... Am I the driftwood?!
      (some time later)
Aldo: (dejected) But do I really look that much like driftwood?
  • Early in 1000 Year Ark, the player can hear about how the traditional reward for great service to the Otohime is being given "a box that turns you ancient if it's opened," a reference to the story of Urashima Tarō (which the Dragon Palace was in part inspired by). For their part, the dragon palace citizenry don't understand why this is supposed to be a reward in the first place. Halfway through 3000 Year Ark, Clarte is gifted one such box by Sheila, and Aldo immediately tries to warn him against opening it. But to the shock of everyone else present, Clarte seems to be interested in finding out what he'll look like aged.
  • When the artifact that was supposed to help replaced the seafire started malfunctioning, Pizzica suggested they smacked it at a 45 degree angle to make it work again and Chiyo stops her saying it won't work as she would break it even more. Sheila agrees and say that they are supposed to smack it from above.

The Time Mine and the Dreamers
  • In a "The Time Mine and the Dreamers" Episode, Aldo and Amy help out Henry the bard with a case of writer's block by taking him to the edge of the ravine on the other side of town for some inspiration. Henry starts vibrating intensely because, as he suddenly reveals, he's actually afraid of heights. And then it happens again when they bring him to the mine, because, surprise suprise, he's afraid of the dark too.
    • The introduction of said quest has Amy say to Aldo that Henry needs to have his "creative juices flowing". Keep in mind that Amy doesn't wear much and is rather busty.

The Celestial Tower and the Shadow Witch
  • Early in the episode, an adventurer has hired Benedict to help with unlocking the locked door to the Dogma Tower. Benedict, being ever-so-singleminded with his lumberjack work, decides to just try cutting down the tower as if it were a giant tree. The exasperated adventurer has to insist that he can't just cut down a tower.
  • Midway through the same episode, the party has to gather information from the Nopaew village, but without the Nopaew around to help translate. Aldo decides to try his hand at speaking Nopaew. It sounds like he's successfully struck up a conversation until Aldo reveals that he's just been winging it all along and can't understand anything.

The Closed-Off Open World and the Azure Rebel
  • "The Closed-off Open World and the Azure Rebel":
    • In the beginning, while the party tried to make sense on how KMS managed to create a copy of Galliard in the form of LeA-BAK despite the fact that only Professor Chronos and Professor Madoka knew about his and Helena's blueprints, Riica immediately went on all-out Suspiciously Specific Denial that "her database contains no relevant data"... only to immediately reveal that Sebastia had obtained Galliard's body the moment Aldo pressured her.
Riica: I was instructed to "be a good Riica and keep this a secret, 'kay?"
Aldo: And you obeyed... Only to spill the beans as soon as we pressed you.
    • Nonold takes the gang on a tour of the old KMS building, and makes a lot of noise about how power can only be restored to the building in a complicated way. He tries to reactivate the power, only to fail. Then Krervo comes up and turns everything on, pointing out that he missed the clearly labelled power switch.
    • When the party is traveling to the old KMS building using the giant hoverboard where the boss battle against Galliard took place in the beginning of the game, Clock and Retro hover behind the party alongside Helena. Clock, not being fitted for combat, experiences difficulty keeping up with the hoverboard's speed. Retro proceeds to poke fun at Clock and tries to one-up the black pod by spinning around while flying, only for it to backfire immediately afterwards as Retro ran rout of fuel and resulting the white pod having to be carried off by Helena for the rest of the...flight.
Retro: If you think you're better, catch me if you can! Nyaa-nyaa... Hm?
      (Retro starts blowing smoke)
Retro: H-Hey! Why can't I pick up speed?!
Clock: The inevitable result of fuel misuse. Whether it whizzes around or runs aground, scrap metal is scrap metal.
    • While attempting to download Galliard's personality data, Clock promptly gets hijacked by the old KMS building's security system, resulting in this exchange:
Clock: Security robot... the white bit unit can be ignored. Take out that annoying blonde one first.
      Cetie: Annoying blonde one?!
    • And after the battle ends, Cetie still looks completely unamused, a far cry to his usually calm and composed demeanor.
      Cetie: Oh, and Clock...
      Clock: What is it, Cetie?
Cetie: (crossing his arms and frowning) Sorry for being an annoying blonde. Once we get back, it's maintenance for you.
Clock: What are you even talking about?!
Retro: Pfft... Boy am I looking forward to this!
    • After the final battle, the enemy revealed that they had mass produced the boss the party just fought. Sebastia countered this by revealing that she had countermeasure for this with a hidden self-destruct mechanism that she activated on all of them... but forgot to take into account just what kind of damage when hundreds of Humongous Mecha explode all at once can do and almost bury everyone present in the building they are in.
  • "One Other Ordeal", in general, is a nonstop hilarity as the party deals with rogue robots with pink scheme similar to Riica's.
    • The first rogue robot is a Special Guard Drone that prides itself on its flight capabilities, and Riica doesn't want to be outdone. She twirls her twintails with incredible speed, lifting herself off the ground like a helicopter... and then crashes face-first into the ground once she can't maintain it.
    • The second robot is a Special Guard Bot that attempts to sell itself for being better than Riica through its "maidenly virtues". Riica ends up taking offense towards the bot when it pokes fun at her lack of "romantic eligibility" due to not being knowledgeable at "girly" things.
    • When Aldo tries to defend Riica from the Special Guard Drone picking on her, Riica thanked Aldo for his positive feedback... then proceeds to remind him that he is not exempted from fees incurred since their first meeting for her assistance. Aldo is not amused.
    • The third robot is a Special Arianrhod that prides its combat capabilities and missiles, and takes offense when Aldo and Riica are obviously not convinced.
Special Arianrhod: (...) Nor my pods! My missiles are all stashed securely in their slots. What could be more reassuring? Virtually nothing.
      Aldo: ...
Riica: You appear to require the installation of an anti-hubris plug-in.
    • Aldo's reaction throughout the episode just sums up of how done he is with the absurdity of the situation.
Aldo: Things have changed a crazy lot in the last 800 years, and I'm not fully caught up... but in my era we wouldn't use the word "reassuring" to describe ballistic weapons.
    • When it looks like everything is over, the fourth quest has Leo revealing that the weapon factory is hacked again. Everyone proceeds to give accusing look at Sebastia, and when she tries to defend herself, no one is convinced on the grounds that unlike Leo, she cannot be trusted enough to tell the truth... at least until the Riica-colored cat bot reveals itself to be the culprit this time.
    • The Riica-colored cat bot (Riicat) then proceeds to summon a Riica-colored Deus Ex. After the last battle in "The Closed-Off World and the Azure Rebel", everyone's reaction is as expected, which prompts the following line from Riicat:
Riicat: What part of a pink plasma-blade-wielding death robot seems like a joke to you?
    • The final battle pits the party against a massively upscaled copy of Riicanote , dubbed as "Riica Deluxe". The naming results in the following dialogue:
Aldo: (sweat-drops) Isn't she a little too big to be only "deluxe"?
Riicat: Don't question my naming sense!

The Lost Tome and the Silver, Unfading Flower
  • At the very end of episode, Hardy bids the party farewell and skedaddles because he "smells trouble". Cue Cetie appearing minutes later and inquiring about Hardy since he is a "person of interest". Aldo, being the Nice Guy he is and knowing that they basically owing to Hardy for his assistance as well, remarks internally that he regretfully cannot rat Hardy out... only for Sophia casually ratting Hardy's presence away to Aldo's shock. When Aldo questions her if it is necessary, Sophia simply says that she won't blame Hardy for what happenednote , but she is not required to like him.

    Wryz Saga Trilogy
  • Wryz Saga II reveals that aside from being a tool to grind medicinal herbs, Sazanca's weapon also serves well as impromptu unicycle that she uses to move at high speed or running from the enemies. And she's very skilled at using it!
  • Almost everything involving Melphipia, and especially when combined with Sazanca. To name a few:
    • Melphi's Establishing Character Moment has her suddenly bolting away and pretending as if she has Split Personality, bewildering and putting the entire exploration party on alert before she ssuddenly assault Sazanca with flying headbutt. And no, that's not the only time it will happen either.
    • For some reasons, she keeps calling everyone with inconsistent nicknames... except for Sazanca, whom she consistently calls as "Nca".

Other Tales: Little Princess' Little Big Adventure
  • During the "Little Princess' Little Big Adventure", Aldo and Miyu discuss the latter's childhood and Aldo comments in a cheesy way about her good looks. Miyu pomptly states that she'll pretend he didn't say anything.
