Fridge Brilliance

  • In "Welcome to the Darth Side," Nikki has a hard time finding a new job after getting fired from the Khaki Barn—she's shocked by this, as Jonesynote  is constantly able to find new jobs despite (almost) always getting fired from them. And as proven in "J is for Genius," Nikki's much more intelligent than Jonesy isnote . So why is she having so much trouble finding a new jobnote ? To go into greater detail:
    • When you really get down to it, for all of Jonesy's laziness and immaturity, he's a comparably better person for a customer service job, which is pretty much any job within a shopping mall: he's good-looking (with no visible piercings or tattoos, although his hair is dyed), charismatic, extraverted and at least puts in the effort to pretend to be a hard-worker.
    • By contrast, Nikki (though certainly not shy or unattractive) is a lot more introverted and, for the most part, looks and acts like your (stereo)typical(ly) rebellious teenager: she's got a face full of metal piercings, she can (sometimes at least) be just as lazy/immature as Jonesy is, makes it extremely clear that she hates her jobnote , and (to put it as politely as possible) isn't exactly the friendliest person evernote . Pretty much the only reason Nikki was never permanently let go from the Khaki Barn (prior to quitting in the Series Finale) was because she made the Clones look better by comparison.
      • Also, remember how, in the pilot episode, when Jen was given the task of choosing her replacement at the Big Squeeze after being hired at the Penalty Box? She ultimately chose Caitlin as her replacement, despite the fact that Caitlin never technically applied for the job, since all the actual applicants were, at least to Jen, very weird-looking (one of them being a scary-looking Goth girl).
  • When Emma Senior (Jen's mom and Jonesy's stepmom) goes into labor with Emma Junior (Jen and Jonesy's half-sister), Jonesy expresses surprise and claims that her due date isn't for quite some time. But take into consideration how Emma Senior already has two daughters who are well into their teens—assuming that Emma Senior was in her mid-20s when she had Courtney (who's around 19) and maybe her late-20s when she had Jen (who's 16), that would mean that Emma Senior's already in her early to mid-40s at the very least by the time she gives birth to her youngest daughter. In general, older mothersnote  are more likely to have premature babies.

Fridge Horror

  • In "Employee of the Month", Chrissy temporarily brainwashes Nikki into becoming a girly Clone, making her act exactly like Kristen and Kirsten, only reverting back to her normal self with the aid of her friends. Kristen and Kirsten are never shown to have any friends other than each other and Chrissy. They rely on Chrissy to tell them what to wear, what to do, and even what to think. If Chrissy knows how to change someone's personality on this level without the use of torture instruments and/or major brain surgery, is it possible that the Clones had different personalities before but were brainwashed too, and just didn't have friends to snap them out of it?
    • Turns into Fridge Logic before rounding back into Fridge Horror when you consider this: Chrissy is the most independent of the three clones. She is, in fact, a Closet Geek and hides this from the other two. Then you remember that one of the factors in brainwashing Nikki was the "exclusive Employee of the Month lounge." Said lounge is actually a brainwashing facility using a form of hypnosis to enforce strict conformity and anti-individualism in a manner that would have George Orwell spinning in his grave. Does Khaki Barn brainwash all of their employees? Is Chrissy a Closet Geek because she doesn't want corporate to catch on and brainwash her?
      • As if the Orwellian brainwashing wasn't enough, it gets worse: it's offhandedly mentioned in a future episode that the Khaki Barn exploits sweatshop labor in overseas countries for its clothes. Who the hell is in charge of this corporation?
  • In "Smarten Up", thanks to Caitlin lying about him being a gynecologist, Jonesy is forced to help deliver a baby when a pregnant woman goes into labor in the changing room. While having to perform such a life-threatening procedure leaves him traumatized, he also easily could have been arrested for medical fraud at best, or sexual assault at worst.
    • Also, imagine if something had gone seriously wrong during the birth—Jonesy wouldn't have known what to do in that situation, and either the mother's or the baby's life could have been at risk, if not both.
  • In the 2010s, shopping malls have started to lose popularity among the public as a result of (among other things) the Great Recession leaving people with less money for personal spending and online shopping becoming more convenient and widely used, with many being forced to close. The public lockdown as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic has also forced many brick-and-mortar businesses to close, including malls. If these things happen in the world of 6teen, the Galleria Mall's future may be in doubt.
    • The Galleria Mall is absolutely massive, considering it has two stories and a built-in amusement park. This could go one of two ways; they have to close because of the massive budget strain, or it remains a popular tourist attraction and stays open.
