Fridge / Shark Tale

Go To

Fridge Brilliance:

  • Lola's a terrible girlfriend to Oscar. She's also a lionfish, a fish known for its venomous spines. Therefore, she and Oscar are in a toxic relationship.
  • Speaking of fish biology, Oscar's apparently a bluestreak cleaner wrasse, a fish that eats parasites and dead skin off of larger fish. Thus, it makes sense for his job to be cleaning the bodies of larger sea creatures.

Fridge Horror:

  • As The Mysterious Mr. Enter points out in his review, Oscar finally telling the truth after all of the brand deals he made with the thousands of product placements could land him in jail for fraud, as well as being sued for everything he, Angie, their children and grandchildren own for around a hundred generations.
    • Possibly averted because he did catch two sharks for real - one being the Don! - and bring peace to the reef. It's not the same, but his promoters probably will play off of that if they don't want to lose money and hurt their reputations. Even after he stops living the lie, Oscar will probably stay famous.
  • The existence of a sushi shop in the opening. Sure, it's played for laughs, but it makes you wonder if cannibalism is just a normal thing in this world. Then again, the shop is empty, so maybe not.
    • Then again, vegetarian sushi exists too (such as cucumber sushi).
  • That worm Lenny freed and sent climbing back up the hook in the opening? Considering it belonged to the moon boy with no land in sight, chances are the worm didn't have anywhere else to go and got put back on the hook the instant he reached the boy, and with no Lenny to save him this time... Alternately, with how long the worm spent underwater (about a minute or two), it could have just drowned while climbing back up.
