Fridge Brilliance

  • Meta example for the whole series, but since mtnetsurfer uses AO3 to host the series, a site that allows a user to alter their work right then and there with a dedicated edit option, mtnetsurfer is fully capable of averting the infamous "Araki forgot" meme. If he does forget something, he can correct it on the spot.
  • For the most part, people in the story apply the term "Stardust Crusaders" to five of the members, that being Jotaro, Fluttershy, Kakyoin, Avdol, and Polnareff. This actually fits into the Five-Man Band trope, with Jotaro as The Leader, Fluttershy as The Heart, Kakyoin as The Lancer, Avdol as The Smart Guy, and Polnareff as The Big Guy.
  • Despite it being suggested that only someone of Joestar blood can defeat someone of that same blood, Polnareff was able to kill J Geil, who in this story is Enya's first son through DIO. The answer here lies in how old J Geil appears to be. It's likely he was concieved prior to DIO obtaining George Joestar II's body, meaning he wasn't born of Joestar blood. Of course, the only time this could have happened is in the brief time DIO switched from the random priest's body to George's during the first time he was dredged from the ocean.
  • One of the lyrics from the anime opening "Stone Ocean" is, "FLY! STONE FREE!". That's one word off from "I'll Fly, Stone Free", the Stands of Rainbow Dash and Jolyne Kujo. Obviously neither Araki nor mtnetsurfer intended this. Stone Ocean was fully published by the time Friendship is Magic ever came out, and mtnetsurfer started the fic before Stone Ocean even got an anime adapation. But still, it does show that Jolyne and Rainbow share the same fate of friendship.
  • That every Hope's Peak Academy Ultimate is a Stand user actually fits in with two known concepts regarding Stands. First, that Stand users are drawn to each other by fate, which would justify the oddity in the first place. Second, that Stands awaken due to fighting spirit. This can take many forms, and mastering a craft (which is what Ultimates tend to do) is shown to be a good way of awakening a Stand, as proven by Tonio.
  • Morgana changing his affection from Ann to Haru makes sense. In Persona 5 he thought he was a human from the very beginning, and thus had a human's desire. So when he saw Ann for the woman she was, he was instantly smitten. But in this story he's an actual cat rather than just looking like a cat, so a human woman wouldn't interest him. But as he starts to develop more human characteristics, he starts to feel more human. So when he sees Haru during the fireworks celebration, he starts to want to get to know her more. Hence why he used his Stand to change into a human form and go to Hawaii, because he knew Haru would be there for the school field trip.
