The Gingerweed Man is a Comedy Movie by Brooks Davis.

The Gingerweed Man is a simple little green stoner living in his apartment with his female friend Barbara (Naiia Lajoie), who helps him run his weed delivery business. One day, while picking up more product from Hi (Ben Gurand), Gingy is approached by a dying scientist who gives him a large green bud. After Gingy leaves, he finds the bud is alive. Naming it Buddy, he takes it home to Barbara. However, it turns out evil forces are after Buddy.

The movie was released on March the 26th, 2021.


The Gingerweed Man contains examples of:

  • Aside Glance: Barbara gives one at the end of the movie.
  • Bathtub Scene: Gingerweed Man takes a bath while Barbara cleans up after a party he had.
  • Black Cloak: The main villain of the movie wears one with a hood, covering his entire body.
  • Bring It: When the villain tells Barbara that a lot of evil people will come after Buddy, Barbara just states that they can come.
  • Cranky Landlord: Mr. Stedenko, to whom Gingy owes unpaid rent. Barbara manages to get rid of him by making up that some of his other tenants are taking part in activities he doesn't like.
  • Dark Action Girl: Smokahontas. She's not afraid to kill people to get Buddy for the CEO of F.U. Tech, and her weapon of choice is hatchets.
  • Evil Sounds Deep: The villain of the movie has a VERY deep reverberating voice.
  • Fartillery: The Gingerweed Man beats Smokahontas by letting loose a fart that knocks her out.
  • Flipping the Bird: The Professor flips Smokahontas off when pretending to hand over Buddy.
  • From the Mouths of Babes: When The Gingerweed Man states his intention to expand Buddy's vocabulary, Buddy says "Boobies!".
  • Im Dying Please Take My Macguffin: Professor Pythagorus, in his final moments, hands The Gingerweed Man a briefcase containing Buddy.
  • Intermission: The movie cuts to one after Buddy comes to life in the middle of the movie. Gingy can be heard taking a toke during the break.
  • In the Hood: The main villain of the movie has his face concealed by a black hood. He doesn't take it off until The Stinger.
  • Mushroom Samba: Gingy has one in which he sees Kaya, the weed deity, who tells him of how important Buddy is to the fate of the world.
  • No Name Given: When the villain is auctioning off two sex slaves, he tries to say their names, but can't seem to recall them. He just shrugs their names off as a result.
  • Protagonist Title: The Gingerweed Man, naturally.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: Ooga Booga's eyes glow red when the mobsters start threatening The Gingerweed Man.
  • Savage Piercings: Ooga Booga has a bone through his nose.
  • Sexual Karma: For helping out the protagonists, Ooga Booga leaves with the two sex slaves for a threesome.
  • Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil: One thing F.U. Tech does is kidnap women and auction them off as Sex Slaves.
  • The Stinger: The villain is ranting at his desk and then is confronted by an even deeper voice over his failure to acquire Buddy.
  • The Stoner: The Gingerweed Man, who takes a couple of hits from his bong over the movie. Heck, one customer he delivers weed to while working is smoking a bong when he makes his delivery.

  • Synchro-Vox: How The Gingerweed Man is rendered (to a certain extent) when he speaks.
  • Talk to the Fist: When Gingy goes to engage Smokahontas in combat, he tries to say something to her. She knocks him across the room mid-sentence.
  • Wrench Whack: Barbara wields a wrench as her weapon against the villain.
