Cutthroat Alley is a 2003 American Slasher Movie directed by Timothy Wayne Folsome.

A masked Serial Killer is targeting a specific gang in South Central, Los Angeles. As his homies are killed off, the leader, Robinson "Jay" Jacobs tries to find the killer before he himself is blamed for the murders.

This film contains examples of:

  • Abusive Parents: Winston's Father, though it's never clear if it was physical or sexual. Also, when Stokes pulls a gun on Chauncey, he says the only person who would whoop his ass, is his mama.
  • Asshole Victim:
    • Brian Stokes, a jerkass that is antagonistic towards his own gang members and beats up Winston, just for bumping into him.
    • Winston accidentally kills his father, when the latter tries to abuse him.
  • Attempted Rape: Half Pint tries to rape Angie, upon being revealed. Luckily, she manages to bite his lip and escape.
  • Big Bad: The South Central Slasher/Bones and Half Pint
  • Cool Mask: The South Central Slasher's skull mask.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Stokes beats the crap out of Winston for lightly bumping into him, and later pulls a gun on Chauncey, simply for cracking a joke.
  • Evil Plan: The killers' was to kill Jay's gang and girlfriend, frame him, and walk out looking like heroes.
  • Everyone Is a Suspect: Pretty much everyone is set up to have motives for the murders.
  • Frame-Up: The South Central Slasher tries to frame Jay; by putting the bloody knife, gloves, and hoodie in his gym bag.
  • Freudian Excuse:
    • Bones hates his former gang for selling him out to the police and getting him locked up in prison for fifteen years, where he "lost his manhood"note
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: As Jay points out: it is entirely Bones' fault for getting locked up, as he killed a guy in cold blood.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Stokes beats up Winston for lightly bumping into him, even though the latter apologized for it. Then, later when the gang is talking about how Jay once beat up Stokes, he nearly blows Chauncey's head off for making fun of him.
  • I Banged Your Mom: When Jay and his gang meet with Gil to talk about the murders, Gil insults Chauncey's music and the latter responds with: "Nah, what you heard last night, was me banging your mother."
  • Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: When Rome is stabbed in the back, the knife sticks out through his chest.
  • In the Hood: The killer wears a black hoodie.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: When interrogated by Detectives Brown and Anderson, Gil mentions that if he were to kill someone, he'd just shoot them, instead of using a knife like the South Central Slasher does.
Gil: It's too messy. I'd just blow their head off.
  • Karma Houdini: Half Pint evades being arrested and presumably comes back to kill Angie at the end.
  • Killed Offscreen:
    • Winston's Father, only mentioned.
    • Mr. Jacobs, there's a gunshot and a body shown, but the actual murder is not shown.
    • Detective Brown's Niece, only mentioned.
    • Undercover Officer, found later with his throat slashed.
    • Chauncey, found by Ray, bleeding from several stab wounds.
    • Gil's Little Brother, only mentioned.
  • Meaningful Look: Bones reveals himself to Angie, by doing the same finger-to-mouth gesture he did while in disguise, when he attacked her earlier at her house.
