Tropes for the film:

  • The '60s: Takes place in 1962.
  • Crunchtastic: Alex, the oldest, has a tendency to invent words by combining smaller words, such as "turnkiss" when the boy she's dating surprises her with a kiss mid-conversation.
  • Funny Photo Phrase: Carly presents Alex with a camera, telling her that she should be the family historian since she's so smart. She immediately moves to take a picture of everyone doing what they're doing at that moment, and directs them all to say "Say, 'shit'!" (They do.)
  • Tagline: "In a world of secrets, love is the most powerful weapon."
