     General Fics

  • Cry for Hyrule by Seldavia
    • Recommended by Watashiwa, Draconic
    • Status: Complete
    • Synopsis: Running alongside The Wind Waker, Cry for Hyrule shows a different side to the King of Red Lions, and suggests a different impetus for the Great Flood. Warning: Not canon, darkish.

  • On Being Young by Guardian 1
    • Recommended by Bookwormtiff
    • Status: Complete
    • Synopsis: "She is the fierce pirate captain, and he is her purehearted maiden... or so Tetra would like to think." Another wonderful oneshot by Guardian 1, this time set in the Wind Waker universe. This is very, very mildly Link/Tetra, and it's short, sweet, cute, so vivid, and very in-character. Also extremely addictive.

  • What was Lost Will be Found by spiderwriters
    • Recommended by: Spiderman 1
    • Status: Complete
    • Summary: (From FF.Net) AU. Link was trying to find the Ghost Ship to save Tetra, and get answers about his missing father. Linebeck was trying to find the Ghost Ship for treasure and a way back home. In spite of himself, Linebeck forms a fatherly relationship to the young hero as they go on their quest. Maybe what they were looking for won't be to hard to find after all. No slash. Minor Linebeck/Jolene
    • Comments: Spiderman 1: It's a cute AU where Linebeck has a more fatherly relationship with Link, which is something not seen a whole lot. Linebeck starts out as his normal jerky self, but grows to care about Link. It starts off slow and becomes very genuine and believable. There are a lot of heartwarming moments between the two main characters, as well as some real tearjerkers. The chapters themselves are a bit short but as it comes to its end with almost 50,000 words, it is a good read. If you liked Phantom Hourglass you will probably enjoy this story. I know many people who inhaled this on their first sitting alone.
