To Love Academia is a crossover of My Hero Academia and To Love Ru, where Izuku ends up engaged to Lala. Can be found on Fanfiction Dot Net here.

To Love Academia contains examples of...

  • Accidental Marriage: In Lala's culture, a man groping a girl's breast is considered a marriage proposal. In chapter 1 while Izuku is taking a bath, Lala teleports on top of him, also naked mind you, causing him to grab her breast by accident. Which by her planet's law means they're now engaged. Much to the shock and horror of the shy nerd, and his friends.
  • Accidental Misnaming: When Eijiro and Tetsutetsu use the Galactic Mail Service to order a jeep, the deliveryman refers to the former as Eijiro Kirishuma. When Yami checks the label, it's revealed that Eijiro's name was misspelled, hence the confusion.
  • Adaptational Wimp: Lala's overwhelming power is significantly lower than canon, even if she is still a Lightning Bruiser by human standards. Similarly, Yami is ultimately beaten by Kirishima.
  • Cannot Talk to Women: This being Izuku, it's to be expected that he can't talk to girls without becoming a stuttering mess, and blush to the point of steam coming from him. So when you have a girl like Lala, who is unnaturally cute, has big boobs, is very clingy, and likes to sleep next to him naked, he's practically helpless.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Ochaco does nothing to hide her obvious jealousy towards Lala being around Izuku. And hearing that they're engaged puts her dangerously close into Yandere territory.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Pikari is burned alive by Dabi.
  • Death by Adaptation: As stated above, rather than being sent back to his home planet, Pikari ends up having an unfortunate encounter with Dabi and gets burnt alive by him thanks to his condescending attitude annoying the latter.
  • Demoted to Extra:
    • Ghi Bree is captured by Aizawa before he can do anything.
    • Lacospo only shows up at the very end and is quickly chased away by Kirishima, not even encountering Izuku.
  • First Kiss: Izuku and Lala have theirs at the end of their first date in the Cherry Blossom Festival.
  • Genius Ditz: Despite coming off as a naïve airhead to Earth's culture and ways, Lala is skilled in understanding and tinkering with alien technology. She even works along with Mei, the school's top inventor in the Department of Support.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Being such a sleazy and pathetic pervert, Minoru (and Denki) has nothing but pure hatred and jealousy towards Izuku learning he now has a cute girl with him, all while shredding bitter tears. After Lala lets it slip that they are engaged in front of his whole class, Minoru and Denki strangle him out of spite.
  • Harem Genre: With this being a crossover with To Love Ru, Izuku is going to have more than a few girls after his affection. So far Lala, Ochaco and Run are behind him.
  • Hidden in Plain Sight: Mikado reveals that Earth has a small population of aliens who are easily able to blend in to human society thanks to Quirks being a common phenomenon.
  • Interspecies Romance:
    • First, there's the budding one between Izuku, a human, with Lala, a Devilukean.
    • In Chapter 9, Hound Dog, a dog-like human, and Linda, a wolf-like alien, end up getting together after the former helps deliver the latter's baby.
  • Lethal Chef: Like in canon, Lala is a terrible cook. Class 1-A is understandably nervous at Lala's cooking, with Mineta even declaring that there is no woman pretty enough that could make him want to eat Lala's cooking. After Katsuki tries some of the food to show he's not a coward, he turns white and starts foaming at the mouth, requiring CPR from Denki.
  • Madness Mantra: Ochako breaks into one after Izuku gets engaged to Lala.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: After putting Lala through the Quirk Assessment Test, Aizawa harshly tells her off for treating everything like a game, from the Hero course to her engagement to Midoriya, when she should be taking it seriously. Lala, after thinking about it and realizing the teacher is right, resolves to put her full effort into it.
  • Self-Proclaimed Love Interest: Both Ren and Pikari believe they're meant to be with Lala. For Ren, he at least acknowledges his shortcoming and tries to better himself to become a man worthy of Lala's love. Pikari, on the other hand, is much worse, thinking he's entitled to her, ignores her when she tells him she's not leaving Izuku, and even resorts to knocking her out and kidnapping her.
  • Space "X": Lala describes the Galactic Mail Service as Space eBay.
  • Technology Marches On: In-Universe, Yami notes that a Jeep that runs on wheels is considered a very cheap item because most alien species have developed hover technology.
  • Training Montage: Tetsutetsu leads Ren in one to help him be a real man.
  • Wrong Context Magic: Ren and Run's ability to change biological sex is considered a shocking power even in the My Hero Academia world.
