- Adaptational Curves: 6 of Issei's wives (Asia, Xenovia, Irina, Rossweisse, Koneko, and Kuroka) went through growth spurts, making their breasts as big as Rias and Akeno. He greatly appreciates this
- A Day in the Limelight: Each wife gets their own chapter and we get a deeper look into their respective characters and their relationship with Issei
- Affectionate Gesture to the Head: Issei's primary method of showing (non-sexual) affection to his wives
- Affectionate Nickname: Some of the girls call their husband various nicknames (Perverted Dragon, Darling, etc.)
- Alcohol Hic: At a restaurant, Rossweisse becomes intoxicated after drinking one too many, which causes her to behave erratically and hiccup in between her words
- All Women Are Lustful: As we see throughout, each of Issei's brides demonstrate their perversion in different ways; Irina goes braless during their honeymoon and Asia walks around in a naked apron halfway through her chapter. This all culminates into passionate lovemaking that lasts for hours
- Almost Kiss: Invoked in Chapter 5. As Asia and Issei decide to end their Ferris wheel ride with a kiss, they are interrupted by an employee that tells them the ride is over
- Amusement Park: The first half of chapters 5 and 7 take place in one
- Amusingly Awful Aim: Issei learns he's not skilled at throwing or aiming snowballs, showcased by his attempts to hit Koneko and misses. Naturally, she gets revenge.
- Bad Date: More like disaster. During their honeymoon to Mount Everest, Koneko and Issei are caught in a blizzard, with their supplies and clothes blown away, and forced to trek through the snow to seek refuge in a cave. Koneko almost calls it quits until they discover a hot spring.
- Barely-There Swimwear: Irina wears a rather tight bikini during her honeymoon, which catches Issei's attention . . . as well as every other male there
- Bathtub Bonding: Chapters 3, 4, and 7 involve the Nekomata Sisters and Xenovia ending their respective honeymoons by bathing with their husband and making love to him.
- Bed Full of Women: The first chapter opens with Issei waking up with all his wives in bed after they consummated their marriage the night before.
- Bigger Is Better in Bed: It's implied by Rossweisse that their shared husband is rather well-endowed. Later confirmed by Irina.
- Cannot Spit It Out: Near the end of the first chapter, Rossweisse and Issei make love on the Yggdrasil tree. Afterward, Rossweisse decides she wants to spend the remaining time of their honeymoon making love on it, but she cannot bring herself to say it so Issei says it for her.
- Casual Kink: While in the interdimensional room, Issei and Irina engage in S&M with Issei being tied to a pole nude while Irina orally pleasures him. This shows that one or both were interested in it and wanted to try it out.
- Childhood Friend Romance: Issei and Irina. No need to elaborate.
- Coming in Hot: Technically true; Kuroka arranges her honeymoon to be on a deserted tropical island off the coast of Japan. Instead of crashing, they jump out of the plane they came in, much to Issei's shock and horror.
- Declaration of Protection: As Xenovia battles a shadowy copy of herself, she proudly proclaims that she will protect Issei with every fiber of her being, just as Issei protects her.
- Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: After being massaged by Kuroka, Issei proclaims that it was the best thing he ever felt and how aroused he is. Naturally, he's embarrassed by this.
- He does something similar in chapter 6 with Irina.
- "Dinner, Bath, or Sex" Offer: All 3 technically happen in Chapter 5.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: By her own admission, Kuroka not only has her sister back, but a new home, a new family, someone she loves (and loves her back), and will eventually have a child with him. However, she endured a lot before ever reaching that point (killing her master, abandoning her sister, etc.)
- Extreme Libido: While this may apply to all the characters, Akeno takes the cake. Halfway through her chapter, they come across a string of love hotels and she gets the idea to have sex in each of them
- According to Issei, he’s made more love to her than any of other of his wives.
- Fanservice: This is High School D×D after all.
- Flash Back: Chapter 8 opens up with two different flashbacks: one of Akeno as a child after the death of her mother and the second being her reaction and acceptance of Issei’s proposal
- Giant Spider: During their adventure in Isekai Land, Issei and Xenovia are attacked by a colony of giant spiders in the forest. Of course, those pesky bugs never stood a chance against the two of them.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Subverted. At the end of their honeymoon, Xenovia says she wouldn't mind a foursome with herself, Asia, Irina, and Issei. She quickly clarifies that they would take turns having sex with him, rather than them having sex with each other.
- Girls Stare at Scenery, Boys Stare at Girls: As Rossweisse admires the sight of the world tree Yggdrasil, Issei admires her.
- Grand Romantic Gesture: During their stay in her family's home, Irina leaves a trail of roses that leads to her bedroom (the interdimensional room to be specific) and it reveals a Christmas-themed bedroom.
- Guilt Complex: Issei and Asia suffer from this immensely; Issei for being unable to confess his feelings to his loved ones for so long (Asia in particular) and Asia for wanting to take Rias' place as Issei's "favorite".
- How We Got Here: At the end of each chapter (excluding chapter 1), we are treated to a recollection of the sequence of events that lead to the eventual romance between Issei and his wives.
- The Immodest Orgasm: Chapter 7 opens with Issei and Xenovia in the middle of an intense round of lovemaking that has been going on for several hours. As they "finish", they emit an orgasm so loud, everyone in the surrounding area can hear them.
- Insecure Love Interest: This applies to all the wives in each chapter as they admit and confront these insecurities with the help of their shared husband.
- Inner Monologue: Issei has one in pretty much every chapter, whether it's regarding the current situation or his relationship with his wife/wives.
- I Was Beaten by a Girl: Issei competes with Irina and Asia in arcade games in their respective chapters and it doesn't end well for him.
- Mating Dance: In chapter 8, Issei and Akeno head to a nightclub for dancing. It quickly becomes sexual as Akeno rubs her butt against him, fondling and caressing each other; this catches the attention of everyone and neither seem to care.
- Nose Bleed: Despite being married to 8 beautiful women of supernatural origin, and having sex with them numerous times, Issei still suffers from this when seeing them in lewd scenarios. He almost passes out in Chapter 3 after massaging Kuroka while she was nude.
- Post-Coital Collapse: Chapter 7 opens with this.
- Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Rossweisse strips nude during her honeymoon to the Yggdrasil tree albeit while embarrassed. Irina goes reluctantly goes braless knowing it'll arouse her husband.
