The Dragon Gamer
is a fanfic written by Wildcard25 on Fimfiction.net. It is a crossover between My Little Pony: Equestria Girls and the plot of Ready Player One, with elements of other series such as Level Up and Accel World. It was first released on September 1st, 2019. It ended July 7th 2023.

- Adaptation Name Change: Zig-zagged. The names of most of the seven female characters (Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, etc.) are now their respective characters' avatars' names. However, in private, they still refer to each other by said names.

- Grogar looks to be serving the role of Nolan Sorrento, while his right-hand man, Bray, so far appears to be serving the same role as I-R0k.
- Bonding over Missing Parents: After finding out about how Spike's parents died in a car accident, Applejack reveals to him that she lost her parents in a similar traumatic experience. She later accompanies Spike when he goes to visit his parents' grave at the cemetery and promises to take him to visit her parents at some point later on.
- Fanservice: A pretty fair amount.
- Happily Adopted: Spike lost his parents in a car accident when he was five, and he was taken in by his uncle Torch and his two daughters Ember and Smolder.
- It's All My Fault: After Grogar begins specifically targeting Spike and the Rainbooms in Eden, Spike notes that they must have caught his attention with all the success they've been having in the game, and his addition to the team may have drawn further attention. Upon realizing this, he starts wondering if he is to blame for his new friends being in put in danger. Fortunately, Twilight quickly manages to talk him out of that.
- Le Parkour: Rainbow enjoys watching her favorite parkour group, the Wonderbolts, perform obstacle courses in Eden. She also notes she practices the sport in real life and offers to take Spike along with her one day.
- Marshmallow Hell: Spike receives this from Luna in her debut chapter, and then by Celestia only minutes after.
- Later on, he also receives this from Rarity when they and the rest of the Rainbooms are having a pseudo camp-out in the penthouse. She also holds him like this when the two fall asleep together after the first time they make love.
- Shameless Fanservice Girl: Rainbow Dash is revealed to be one. On Spike's first morning waking up in the penthouse, she comes down the stairs wearing nothing but a bra and panties. When the others chastise her for this, she responds by asking Spike if he minds, while leaning closer to him to give him a good view of her cleavage.
- Shower of Love: Spike and Rainbow share one of these at one point.
- Shout-Out: Too many to count.
- An obvious one, Spike's username in Eden is Shenron.
- Talking to the Dead: When Spike and Applejack go to visit his parents' grave, they both have a heartfelt conversation with them about how Spike has been doing and all the new friends he's made.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Downplayed. Twilight told Celestia that she would never forgive her if she finds out that she was using Spike as her sex toy.
