Fanfic / Kingdom Hearts: Lelouch of Infinite Hearts

Go To

Kingdom Hearts: Lelouch of Infinite Hearts is a crossover between Code Geass, Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy XIV, the Fire Emblem franchise; especially Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and many other series.

The story begins shortly before the events of the first Kingdom Hearts game, where Lelouch Lamperouge, formerly the banished and presumed dead Britannian Prince Lelouch vi Britannia, experiences a strange dream. By the end of it, he obtains a Keyblade much to his shock, and soon it results in an attack on Ashford Academy. Despite possessing a potent mystical weapon Lelouch's lack of knowledge and physical strength to make use of it results in him getting banished to Fódlan where he is met by a helpful stranger who takes him in and soon arranges for him to be trained so he can master the Keyblade and save his sister, but he is wary of this stranger's help and curious of their true motives.

Meanwhile, Sora gains the Keyblade himself, but the rest of the events to follow after Destiny Island is consumed by darkness, things for the story change for Sora, which may be caused by a new Third Party group of villains whose leader has a bigger goal in mind while seeking Kingdom Hearts as well.

The story is also posted on Archive of Our Own Here.

This fanfic contains examples of the following:

  • Acceptable Breaks from Canon: The fanfic has movements of these, especially in some of the involved series, might be better for them in some way, especially Fire Emblem Three Houses given how many of its endings turn out.
  • Always Night: Traverse Town is, so far, one of the worlds to have this with seemingly no daytime cycle to mention having a clear starry night sky.
  • An Offer You Can't Refuse: Lelouch is faced by this when he is found by Lord Solus of the Adrestian Empire. Despite being suspicious of him, Lelouch acknowledges he has no choice but to accept being in a strange world, wielding a weapon he barely understands and lacks the body to wield properly and unlikely to make it far in a world more dangerous than his own so he reluctantly accepts his offer.
  • Apocalypse How: Just as during the first Kingdom Hearts game, many worlds have already been consumed by the Heartless with Sora's world joining the long list of worlds the Heartless and the Darkness have claimed. This will continue unless the Heartless are stopped until no worlds are left.
  • Archnemesis Dad: Lelouch has this with Emperor Charles of the Holy Britannian Empire, and he won't be the only character who has this trope, merely being the first.
  • Alternate Continuity: For the Kingdom Hearts series and others as a whole, which will lead to some serious changes.
  • Badass Normal: Count Saazbaum from Aldnoah Zero is this and the first character of the story introduced so far to be this, and not likely to be the last.
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Maleficent and "Ansem" just like in the original game, but this time a new third-party group of villains is led by a new player and his group involves the likes of Zeref, Ardyn Izunia, and others forming a more dangerous group, which forces Maleficent to expand her own group with newer allies.
  • Big Good: Mickey Mouse, obviously, and the unseen benefactor within Lelouch's mind who speaks to him.
  • Butt-Monkey: Pete will be the first to fill this trope, but he is not likely to be the only one.
  • Crapsack World: The world of Orience from Final Fantasy Type-0 is the most notable of the worlds that fit this trope so far and while other worlds will appear that will qualify, Orience is notable for not only being a world where the dead are forgotten to allow those living not to be tied down by their deaths, but it makes it much easier for two countries engaged in the war to commit atrocities that would've normally counted as war crimes easily since they are not burdened by guilt. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.
  • Darker and Edgier: Likely to be for this story instead of the usual family-friendly setup of the Kingdom Hearts game, despite it having its own dark moments.
  • Deflector Shields: Thanks to Entrapta the Highwind had these until it got too close to the Crystal Tower and got hit hard, which saved the ship from being outright destroyed by its powerful defenses.
  • Doomed Hometown: Sora, Riku, and Kairi when Destiny Islands is lost. Lelouch's world avoids this due to the third group needing it for later.
  • I Need You Stronger: What ends up happening to Lelouch after being beaten during the invasion of Ashford Academy .
  • Hero Looking for Group: Tryca is a War Goddess seeking a Keyblade Wielder or Wielders to help protect her world from the Heartless and to seal its keyhole.
  • Magitek: The Harbingers of New Genesis use this, much of it obtained from other worlds with the Garlean Empire and the Niflheim Empire as notable sources.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Naturally given Kingdom Hearts is involved with some series not involved with the normal series like Fire Emblem, Code Geass, Aldnoah Zero, Final Fantasy Type 0, and She-Ra Princesses of Power, so far just to name a few.
  • Technologically Advanced Foe: The Harbingers of New Genesis are this, having been gathering advanced tech from across the worlds and adding it to their resources to build up their forces.
  • Or Was Ita Dream: Sora and Lelouch experience this as they both awaken the power to gain their respective Keyblades, but while Lelouch wakes up with it in hand, Sora doesn't summon it later until his island is invaded.
  • Palm Tree Panic: Destiny Islands fits this since the majority of its trees seen are palm trees.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Ieyasu, Zeref, and the mysterious Architect fit this.
  • La Résistance: Merlin, Hordak, and Entrapta form this, protecting Traverse Town from the Heartless before helping Sora with his quest to find his friends and Merlin with help from Hordak and Entrapta to get a better grasp on how to use his Keyblade in a fight.
  • The Church: The Church of Seiros from Fire Emblem Three Houses is this, being the most powerful institution on the continent of Fódlan responsible for helping keep the peace in Fódlan between its three kingdoms while running the officer's academy which those from said nations come so that future leaders of these nations can be cultivated by the church under their supervision. Lelouch would end up attending the officer's academy after events involving saving three of the future leaders of those nations.
  • Training from Hell: Lelouch is put through this because let's face it while Sora is in far better physical shape for the demands of being a Keyblade Wielder and one of the story's main characters, Lelouch does have that benefit for certain reasons from canon. His training gets so intense, that he is made to train even after he goes to sleep.
  • Year Inside, Hour Outside: How some of Lelouch's training is carried out by his unseen benefactor within his mind as he sleeps, and his body memorizes it as muscle memory allowing him to gain more training in a quicker amount of time.
