Follow Izuku as she goes on adventures with her father figures: the male staff of U.A. High who all earn the title of "Dad" as the most important males in her life.

But unfortunately for her, the entire male staff are a little bit overprotective in their attempt to keep boys away from her, no matter if she has crushes on them or if they're nice to her.

The first story is complete. Heroic Father Figures can be read here and here.

Dads vs. Crushes can be read here and here.

Heroic Father Figures has the following tropes of

  • Abandoned Pet in a Box: In Chapter 13 of Dads vs. Crushes, Izuku and Tetsuo find a rabbit in a box in an alleyway on their way back home. Upon seeing the poor thing, Izuku immediately becomes attracted to it and decides to it take her home with her. Chapter 14 has Izuku naming her new pet rabbit Miyuki.
  • Aborted Declaration of Love: During her date with Ikki at the Winter Festival, Izuku stops herself from confessing her feelings to her long-time crush at the last second, as she doesn't have the strength to tell him how she feels, and possibly never will. Izuku even considers Ikki to be very handsome, while she's plain-looking.
  • Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: A lot of Izuku's relationships are change in the series.
    • Many of the male members of U.A.'s staff have a father and daughter relationship with Izuku. In canon, her relationship with them is purely just a student and teacher one.
    • Her relationship with Ochaco is pure friendship, while canon Ochaco has a crush on canon male Izuku.
    • Both Katsuki and Shoto have romantic feelings for Izuku and tend to fight over her.
    • While her relationship with Shigaraki hasn't changed since they're still enemies, it's reveal that Shigaraki has feelings for her from all the time he was watching her in her dance lessons.
  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: The male teachers ruffle Izuku's hair in their respective chapters, just before she calls them "Dad". Chapter 14 of Heroic Father Figures reveals that her father, Hisashi, used to lovingly ruffle her hair before he left, and that's why Izuku calls her male teachers "Dad".
  • Age Lift: The male staff members are all the same age group as Inko in the story. In canon, a lot of them are of different age: twenties, thirties, forties, and fifties. Some of their ages remain unknown.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: It's implied that Inko doesn't have good taste in men, as she had an abusive boyfriend in high school and her missing husband kidnapped their daughter when she was three years old. Because of this, All Might and the other male staff members are protective of Izuku out of fear she might have inherited her mother's taste in boys.
  • All Love Is Unrequited: Izuku is in love with her neighbor and childhood friend, Ikki Mori, since they were kids. However, he's completely unaware of her feelings for him and sees her as a sister. She seems to be fine with that fact.
  • Ballet Episode: Chapters 16 through 22 has an arc that focuses on Izuku and her ballet class having a play. Unfortunately, Shigaraki manages to knock out the male lead and use Toga's Quirk to disguise himself as said male lead just so he can steal Izuku's first kiss.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: In Chapter 8 of Heroic Father Figures, Izuku reveals that she has a beautiful singing voice while she is cleaning her classroom. It's revealed in the same chapter that her uncle had her sign up for singing lessons in the hope that she would lose interest in becoming a hero.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: The reason why Izuku fell for Ikki when they children, was because he was always so kind towards her and would often protect her from bullies despite knowing she was Quirkless back then. Unfortunately, Ikki hasn't returned her feelings and only sees her as a friend and a sister.
  • Big Sister Worship:
    • Enko pretty much looks up to Izuku as an older sister despite them being cousins. Currently, her relationship with her older brother Haru remains unknown.
    • Eri herself also looks up to Izuku, as she calls the older girl her beloved hero. Justified, since Izuku did help save Eri from her abusive adoptive uncle and gave the younger girl a new life full of happiness.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: The four boys who work in the restaurant that the girls of soon-to-be Class 2-A were eating appear to be kind and friendly, but it is later revealed that they're actually criminals who remorselessly hurt one of the security guards when they were stealing. They're also shown to prefer girls who are physically pretty and to have some prejudice against people of mutate based Quirks. Needless to say, they get what is coming to them from both Eraser Head and Present Mic.
  • Bridal Carry: Izuku has been carried in someone's arms three times.
    • The first time is when Hound Dog finds her unconscious on a playground, after a group of female bullies told her to stay away from Bakugo, and Hound Dog carrying her back to U.A. for first aid.
    • The second time is a flashback to a time after Izuku and her mother both fainted, Sakura had ordered Bakugo to take Izuku back to her niece's bedroom, while Bakugo gave smug to Shoto and Izuku's father figures giving the infamous death stare that many male students came to fear.
    • The third time is another flashback, this time to when Shigaraki's disguise had worn off and revealed his true identity to the audience. The U.A. staff and the soon-to-be Class 2-A had managed to saved Izuku from the villain, with Eraser Head carrying her back to her family. Hinata took her in his arms and led the rest of the Midoriya family away before the media could ask them questions.
  • Childhood Friends:
    • Hound Dog has known his friend Ayato since middle school and the two still see each other on the Hound Hero's days off.
    • It's implied that Izuku's grandfather Kazuki had knew Nana Shimura during middle school.
    • Izuku and Ikki have known each other since they were kids, with Ikki protecting her from bullies.
  • Cool Big Sis: Izuku acts like a big sister figure to her younger cousin Enko and Eri, the little girl she saved from the villain Overhaul. She lets Enko hang out with her and her friends, and gives Eri some ballet lessons.
  • Cool Old Guy: Kazuki is a cheerful and open-minded old man who supports his granddaughter's heroic dream and is very welcoming to the U.A. staff, who are his daughter's old friends.
  • Daddy's Girl: Izuku has developed a close relationship with each of the male staff who she sees as her father figures as the series continues. Chapter 14 of Heroic Father Figures reveals that she was very close to her father, Hisashi, before he left her and Inko when she was three years old.
  • Dance Battler: Aside being a good singer, Izuku also takes ballet lessons, uses her ballet skills to fight against villains and is a beautiful dancer in her class.
  • Death and the Maiden: The ballet play that Izuku is in features a young maiden who falls in love with the Moth of Death.
  • Disappeared Dad: Hisashi walked out on Izuku when she was three. Izuku tearfully reveals that she's at the point of not caring if her father's not going to be there for her since she feels she already has her family, friends, and teachers there for her. Which is enough for her.
  • Doting Grandparent: Kazuki cares deeply for Izuku and is supportive of her, often asking her how school is and even teasing her if she has a boyfriend, much to Izuku's embarrassment. He tells her that she could be a hero without a Quirk while telling her she's smart.
  • Dude Magnet: Izuku has gained a lot of male attention from in and out of the U.A., such as Katsuki, Shoto, Tetsuo, and Tomura Shigaraki. She returns some of their feelings too, much to the horror of her male teachers.
  • Entitled to Have You: A dream/flashback reveals Hisashi had believes that both his wife and daughter belong to him. He even tells Izuku to always remember that she belongs to her father.
  • Everyone Went to School Together: The male staff all went to U.A. at the same time, although All Might, Eraser Head, Present Mic, Snipe, Nezu, and Cementoss were in Class 2-A and Vlad King, Hound Dog, Lunch-Rush, Ectoplasm, and Power Loader were in Class 2-B. Inko didn't go to U.A., as she was a student at a regular school and only met her old friends after they saved her from her abusive ex-boyfriend. Endeavor was also in Class 2-B, but didn't appear to have been close to the rest of his schoolmates.
  • Fantasy-Forbidding Father:
    • An uncle example. Hinata, Inko's older brother and Izuku's uncle, didn't approve of Izuku's dream of becoming a Pro Hero, as he sees it as a dangerous career. However, he's a doctor and has seen many injured heroes in the emergency room, with many of them being beaten, disfigured, or dead and their loved ones grieving over their bodies. So his reasons for disapproving of her career choice are justified, as he simply wants to protect his niece from a gruesome fate and sparing the family the same pain the families of heroes go through.
    • Ikki's father disapproves of his son's dream of becoming a manga writer, instead wanting Ikki to pursue a career as a news reporter. According to Ikki, his father always says that a reporter makes more money than some weirdo manga writer who is wasting their life away writing and illustrating unrealistic stories.
  • Foil: The Midoriya family is similar to the Shimura family, as both are the respective families of the holders of One For All and All For One. Both are a Multigenerational Household with a family dog who is close to the seemingly Quirkless member of the family. Both families live in big, wealthy houses that were built by male members who made successful careers in their early lives. The two families have strict rules for the children to follow. However, there's a big difference between the Midoriya and Shimura families. The Midoriyas are much more caring and supportive of Izuku and her dream of being a Pro Hero, and while the Shimuras did love Shigaraki and comforted him after the abuse by his father he went through, it wasn't enough, as they did nothing to truly help Shigaraki, which eventually led him to accidentally killing them (excluding his father) when his Quirk manifested.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Izuku is shown to be kind and gentle towards animals. Examples the spider from Chapter 3 of Heroic Father Figures, her relationship with her beloved dog Hachiko and bunny Miyuki, and how she quickly manages to get the animals her dance class is using for their play to become attached to her.
  • Gender Flip: In this series, Izuku is a girl instead of a boy.
  • The Ghost: Izuku's older cousin, Haru, has yet to appear in the story, mostly because he's in college. The only thing we do know is that he appears to often invite his friends over to the house.
  • Good Parents: Just like in canon, Inko is a loving and caring mother to her daughter, being supportive of Izuku in her hero career and ballet lessons, and even smoothing her daughter's doubts when she almost wants to quit her role in her dance class's play.
  • Heroes Love Dogs: Both Izuku and Vlad King have dogs whom they deeply love. Izuku had Hachiko when she was a child and Vlad King enjoys spending his days off with Dai. The two dogs are greatly supportive of their owners developing a parent/child relationship since both dogs feel their humans are lonely.
  • Multigenerational Household: Izuku lives with her mother, Inko, her maternal grandfather, Kazuki, her uncle, Hinata, and aunt, Sakura, her cousins, Haru and Enko, and her pet dog, Hachiko. Currently, her older cousin, Haru, went to college during her first year at U.A. High.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: Hinata didn't approve of Inko being married to Hisashi as he felt his brother-in-law wasn't good enough for his sister. However, Hinata did seem to had a point since Hisashi did something that caused him and Inko to fight a lot to the point that he decided to leave both his wife and daughter.
  • Old Friend: Inko is an old friend to her daughter's teachers, having known them in her second year of high school before they lost contact with her. Due to her questionable taste in men, they're overprotective of her daughter and treat her and their other students as their own.
  • Papa Wolf: The male staff members are very protective of their female students, especially Izuku. It's a bad idea to disrespect any of the girls if any male staff member is within earshot.
  • Parental Abandonment: Hisashi left Izuku and Inko when the former was three years old and since then, neither Izuku nor Inko has seen or heard from him in years. Not that Izuku cares since she's understandably angry at him for leaving their family after an argument with Inko when Izuku was a toddler.
  • Parental Substitute: All Might, Eraser Head, and the entire male staff members all act like fathers towards Izuku, who longs to have a father figure after her actual father walked out of her life as a toddler.
  • Princess Phase: Izuku used to love princesses when she was three years old. She grew out of this phase when she became four and developed her everlasting love for heroes.
  • Sacred First Kiss: Shigaraki disguises himself as Aihiko Akizuki, the male lead of the play and Izuku's classmate from ballet lessons, just so he could steal Izuku's first kiss in front of everyone she knows. Mostly because he thinks it's hilarious and because of his growing feelings for her.
  • Smart People Wear Glasses: Tetsuo is a bright student in the Support Course and wears glasses.
  • Snow Means Love: Chapter 1 of Dads vs. Crushes has Izuku and Ikki going to the Winter Festival with it snowing outside. Although Ikki has no idea that Izuku had to ask him out on a date in the previous story and is unaware of her feelings for him, the narrative has romantic tones to it.
  • Stalker with a Crush: Shigaraki had been spying on Izuku during ballet class for months back when he thought he could use this against her in some way. However, the more he watched her, the more he fell for her.
  • Taking the Kids: Hisashi attempted to take Izuku with him shortly after the failing marriage between him and Inko. However, Izuku currently is living in her uncle's house along with her mother, so it's unknown what changed Hisashi's mind.
  • Villainous Crush: Shigaraki develops a crush on Izuku after spying on her during her dance class. He even names her his "little hero".
  • The Voice: Izuku's uncle, Hinata, had only appeared as a voice in two chapters before he was properly introduced in the debut chapter that has his name. Both show his strictness and being worried for his family.
  • White Bunny: Miyuki has pure white fur (and red eyes) and is Izuku's new pet rabbit.
  • Women Are Wiser: Midnight and Recovery Girl are the only staff members with any sense left when Izuku left to go on a date with Ikki while the men went to spy on them. Midnight tells them not to murder Ikki since Izuku likes him.
  • You Must Be Cold: Upon seeing Izuku getting cold during their time at the Winter Festival, Ikki places his scarf around her neck and brings her closer to him to keep her warm.
