A League Beyond Legends
is a Fusion Fic set within the DC Animated Universe that merges its world with the world of Bleedman's Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi and Grim Tales from Down Below. The story is written by Aros001.
The story is set years after the events of Doujinshi as the Justice League expands to include new heroes to its roster, old and young, long after the events of Darkseid's invasion. They will need to contend with a new threat upon the horizon, one that the is familiar to the League.
Has nothing to do with League of Legends.
A League Beyond Legends provides examples of:
- Action Mom: Blossom is one of the strongest heroes on Earth and is the mother of Mimi.
- Back from the Dead: Lex Luthor, which Superman lampshades as well as wondering just how the Hell he came back to life in the first place.
- Composite Character: This version of the Flash/Wally West is the same as the one from Teen Titans while in canon there was never any indication that he was Kid Flash at any point.
- Curb Stomp Cushion: During the sparing match with Superman, the assorted heroes (including the Powerpuff Girls and Jenny) are all outmatched, but they manage to hold the Man of Steel back for a good while and even get plenty of solid hits in.
- Doomed by Canon: The story is a prequel to Grim Tales, and the author makes no secret that the story is meant to lead in to its events. Because of this, pretty much everyone is doomed to die at some point in the story and the main question is when. So far, John Stewart is the first to be killed.
- Guilt Complex: Jenny is shown to have one regarding her killing of Vexus, as an apparition of her former enemy haunts her and disparages her for what she's done.
- Intergenerational Friendship: Martian Manhunter and Mimi become good friends thanks to their shared telepathic powers.
- Interquel: The story stated to be set between the events of Doujinshi and Grim Tales and is meant to chronicle what happened in the lead up to the latter.
- Mama Bear: Needless to say, Blossom would go to Hell and back for her daughter. When she thought Martian Manhunter was Him/Kare come to take Mimi away, she went ballistic on him and nearly beat him to a pulp.
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover: This being Powerpuff Girls Doujinshi with the DCAU added, it's a given, but the story goes even further by adding other Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon properties as well.
- Promoted to Love Interest: In a Truer to the Text sort of manner, Linda Park is made Wally's primary love interest again while this wasn't the case in the DCAU.
- Shout-Out: When Superman is pretending to be a villain while training the new heroes, he takes on the same villainous persona All Might did when he was testing Midoriya and Bakugo.
- Took a Level in Badass: Pretty much everyone over the years. Superman can now survive outer space and is far stronger, the Flash has greater control over the Speed Force, the Powerpuff Girls are all experienced adults, and so on.
