A very strange collection of short stories all set in the same universe, that when taken together, all form a single story. The stories jump around without directly telling the reader when or sometimes where they are, instead requiring them to look at clues provided in one story to see when another story takes place. There is generally little description, but not in the manner of beige prose. Instead, the work implies far more than it states, and figuring out what is implied often requires something that might not be revealed until later. Which might require you to remember something else from the very beginning, which can't be understood until the very end.
