Shadow Wings is an urban fantasy series where the titular character is tied to a near-lookalike double in the "real" world who only wants to be a police woman. This woman is Lina Jolen, an albino who takes care of her kid sister Hannah. People around them (a friend, a teacher, her boyfriend's cousin, Lina's partner) each tell a story of magic in their world, which impacts their personal lives. Meanwhile, Hannah's two best friends both confess their love to her and Hannah
hooks up with both of them... but then Lina begins seeing the life of Shadow Wings and becoming able to take control of her for limited amounts of time... and finds out that one of them will cause the
End of the World as We Know It.
