Maurizio Merluzzo (born September 3rd, 1983) is an Italian dubbing voice actor and also Youtuber.

He's best known for voicing Sai in Naruto, Zamasu in Dragon Ball Super, Diego Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy, and Andre Harris in Victorious. His first important movie role was the title character in SHAZAM! (2019).

He has a YouTube channel, where he answers many questions about voice acting for his fans, and frequently hosts other Italian voice actors.

Some of his voice roles are:

Anime

Film - Animated

Film - Live Action

Live Action TV

Video Games

Western Animation

His works provide examples of:

  • Catchphrase: He starts all his Youtube videos with "Bomba ragazzi!", his own way to say "Hey there, guys!".
  • Deadpan Snarker: His normal tone in his Youtube channel is snarky almost constantly. Not just the way he talks to his fans, but even when he interacts with famous guests.
  • Embarrassing Last Name: Merluzzo is Italian for "codfish". By his own admission, people made fun of his last name since he was younger. However, he's ok with it and is the first to laugh at his own name. They even suggested him to choose a different Stage Name at the start of his career, but he refused to change it.
  • Promoted Fanboy: He went from being a fan of Dragon Ball when he was younger, to voicing a character (Zamasu, in his case) in Dragon Ball Super.
