Alfonso Ribeiro (born September 21, 1971) is a American actor, dancer, singer, director, presenter and entertainer.
He is best known for portraying Carlton Banks in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which led to a host of other roles in the same Black and Nerdy vein such as Dr. Maxwell Stanton in In the House. Despite being known as one of the quintessential Black nerds next to Urkel, Ribeiro is an accomplished dancer and even appeared in a Pepsi commercial alongside Michael Jackson (the infamous 1984 one where his hair caught fire). From there, he was cast as Alfonso Spears in Silver Spoons. After In the House, he has appeared in multiple TV shows, from sitcom to reality TV, and has become a prominent television host and presenter.
