3D Dave
TAKE THE MICROPHONE AND RESTORE ME BACK TO THIS REALITY'S FORMWait, who are you two? Oh wait! I saw you guys a couple days ago!
The unusually kind antagonist of the mod's first week, who raps against Boyfriend for fun after noticing him in his backyard.- Adaptational Nice Guy: Dave was an Evil Cripple in Dave's Fun Algebra Class. Here, he's actually nice to Boyfriend and Girlfriend. The worst he does here is turning himself and other objects 3D in "Polygonized", and even then it's by complete accident.
- Apocalypse How: Has the power to uncontrollably turn the world 3D, causing everything to lag and move at a snail's pace according to the secret RTX ending.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Just because he's friendly doesn't mean he isn't able to put up quite a challenge in-game. He also apparently has the power to turn himself and other objects 3D by complete accident.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: Dave was more of a Jerkass in earlier versions of the mod before becoming nicer in an update.
- Early Installment Character-Design Difference: His sprite in the Pre-Alpha version was Daddy Dearest recolored white.
- Handicapped Badass: Despite being put in a wheelchair after a science accident, he demonstrates some mean rapping skills against Boyfriend and has the power to turn objects 3D.
- Odd Friendship: His friendship with Bambi can be seen as this, considering the latter is an unstable, eccentric man that regularly steals from Dave and breaks the phones he's gifted.
- Power Incontinence: He accidentally begins to turn the world 3D in "Polygonized" and isn't able to stop himself without Boyfriend's help. This happens again for "Interdimensional". According to
Word of God, he's not capable of controlling this at all.
Bambi
I GONNA BLOCK YOU OUT OF MY FARM!
Hey! Are you trying to steal my corn?
A rude, odd-mannered farmer (who happens to share the same name with a popular animated fawn) with a penchant for breaking phones that battles Boyfriend in the second week when he believes he and Girlfriend want to steal his corn.- Ambiguously Human: Bambi looks and acts human enough, save for his Insane Troll Logic, but Word of God says that he came into existence out of nowhere, has a religion dedicated to him, has the ability to teleport at will, and is composed of water, helium, a CS:GO microphone, and radiation.
- Catchphrase: "HOLY SHIT!"
- Hypocrite: He gets angry at Boyfriend for (supposedly) trying to steal from him, despite having apparently stolen his entire cornfield from Zardy.
- Insane Troll Logic: Seemingly runs entirely on this. His week happens entirely because he assumes that Boyfriend wants to steal his corn without anything resembling evidence and threatens to break his own phone in return.
- Intentional Engrish for Funny: Bambi is not exactly great at speaking English properly.Bambi: I GONNA BLOCK YOU OUT OF MY FARM! You never coming back ever again you dirty ole' rodeo trash.
- Large Ham: He's a mix of this and No Indoor Voice
- Odd Friendship: Apparently, he's friends with Spong and Bob, mainly because of how hard their songs are.
- The Napoleon: Bambi is 1'2", making him an entire foot shorter than Tristan, and he gets easily angered by a blind assumption he made.
- Repetitive Name: His full name is Bambi Bambi Bambi.
- Super-Strength: Downplayed, He can break bricks painted to look like phones with barely any effort
- Ungrateful Bastard: Bambi constantly breaks phones given to him by Dave for incredibly petty reasons. In the mod itself, he breaks one that was given to him 3 hours ago because Boyfriend beat him in a rap battle. Fortunately, Word of God confirms that they're not actually phones, but bricks painted to look like them, but still.
Tristan
But the game was really fun! You press these number buttons, and sometimes they would say certain things. 911 was a little scary though-
Dad! I think Bambi's phone is broken, it's just a black screen.
Dave's adopted son who appears in a few cutscenes and as a playable character.- Ascended Extra: Tristan served only as a playable character in older versions of the mod and had basically no personality. In the 2.5 update, he gains appearances in the cutscenes after "Maze" and "Splitathon" and is characterized as an appropriately childish ditz, and the 3.0 update actually gives him a couple of his own songs.
- Genius Ditz: His appearance in the ending cutscene of "Splitathon" shows that he took Bambi's phone to play a game on it during the rap battle. This "game" is apparently just calling other people, though. Dave promptly grounds him for this. Despite this, he's apparently able to own and run a pizzeria according to this map of Dave's town
at 9 years old. - Gold-Colored Superiority: Tristan has a gold-colored skin available when playing as him, which gives him a visible shine and makes him look more confident while singing.
- Hidden Depths: If you look him up in the Terminal, the text given implies that he (or at least his golden form) is the key to defeating Expunged.

Unfairness

A mysterious, powerful glitching entity who takes on the appearance of Bambi after seeing his spritesheet and punishes Boyfriend if he tries to cheat.- A Form You Are Comfortable With: The being takes the form of a 3D Bambi when battling Boyfriend due to his spritesheet being the first thing it ever saw.
- Beware the Silly Ones: Thanks to taking a 3D version of Bambi's form (and his mannerisms with it), Expunged doesn't really act very intimidating, and it even looks rather goofy in "Cheating" with its smile and how it bobs up and down. Once you dive into the lore of the character, however, it becomes apparent that it's actually a demented god-like Humanoid Abomination that could absolutely destroy Boyfriend if it wanted to, and its true form makes it look much closer to how it acts.
- Bishounen Line: Downplayed; while it looks somewhat humanoid in all of his forms, it begins to look closer and closer to a normal person's proportions the closer it gets to its true form.
- Death of a Thousand Cuts: "Cheating", "Unfairness", and "Exploitation" have Expunged push the health bar whenever he sings, but each individual note removes way less health than most typical users of the Life Drain mechanic. However, Expunged makes up for this with a truly absurd note count that makes the health drain way more significant in practice.
- Enemy Summoner: A trait that isn't showcased in gameplay, but Word of God states that it has the ability to create Bambi Minions, small purple-hatted copies of itself that only show up in the fanmade Dave and Bambi: Golden Apple Edition.
- Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor: Expunged's idea of something funny is tormenting anyone that accidentally ends up in the 3D world.
- Evil Laugh: Does a lot of this in "Exploitation", to the point that its only intelligible words for the whole song are, "The fuck?".
- Glamour Failure: This is the case in "Unfairness", as its Bambi form goes red and starts breaking apart, looking much closer to its true form.
- Humanoid Abomination: Expunged is a glitching entity whose power is unknown, but it's stated to be even stronger than Dave, who has the power to accidentally destroy the world. It's also aware of the fact that it's in a game, taking its appearance from Bambi's old spritesheet and punishing cheaters who try to enter debug mode.
- Impostor Forgot One Detail: Expunged's form in "Cheating" is pretty accurate to Bambi's design...at least, the one shown in the joke songs and oldest versions of the mod, which lacks current Bambi's overalls and hands.
- Interface Screw: All three of Expunged's songs take this to the extreme, moving the strikelines all around the screen and setting every individual arrow to a different scroll speed, making it practically impossible to accurately read what you need to hit. "Exploitation" amplifies this even further by jumbling the stats to make them unreadable and even having Expunged break out of the game's window itself near the end.
- It Amused Me: Expunged considers its purpose to be tormenting any outsiders that find themselves in the 3D world because it thinks it's funny.
- "It" Is Dehumanizing: Its eldritch nature is highlighted by its use of "it" alongside masculine pronouns.
- Knight of Cerebus: Its lore is taken way more seriously than that of the rest of the mod, characterizing it as a sadistic being of chaos with Medium Awareness that tortures anyone that ends up in its world for fun. Its true form takes this even further, completely shedding its silly Bambi-like appearance and even using much more intimidating voice clips.
- Medium Awareness: It's able to tell when the player tries to use the debug menu, and it takes the form of Bambi because his spritesheet was the first thing it saw. Near the end of "Exploitation", it even breaks out of the game's window and starts fighting you from the desktop while the window floats around.
- Medium Blending: It takes the form of a 3D Bambi during its songs in a similar style to "Polygonized".
- No Fair Cheating: Its song "Cheating" can only be accessed by trying to use the debug menu in "Supernovae" and is meant to be a punishment for trying to cheat. "Unfairness" is accessed by trying this again in "Cheating".
- Slasher Smile: Its form in "Unfairness" and its true form have this constantly.
Recurser
A glitchy being that appears to have another entity inside it. They are the opponent of "Recursed".
- All Your Powers Combined: Used in an unusual way. Recurser's vocals were made by layering Dave, (a tuned version of) Bambi, and Tristan's chromatics and applying a harsh effect over all three.
- Ascended Glitch: The character of Recurser came about because of a glitch in the freeplay menu that occurred during development that caused every song to layer on top of each other, becoming a jumbled mess. This is referenced in the method required to unlock "Recursed", repeatedly scrolling through any of the freeplay menus.
- Body Horror: Simply being in the dimension it resides in causes horrific effects to one's body as every single stimulus they process begins to repeat indefinitely, leaving the victim in a 'less-than vegetative state' as their body warps into mismatched parts and colors trying to react to everything at once.
- Recursion: Ironically a recurring theme with anything related to Recurser. Its vocals are several chromatics on top of each other, its design appears to be two entities in one, the Body Horror it inflicts involved recursive stimuli, etc.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: It doesn't appear to be inherently malicious, and secret dialogue in the Terminal reveals that it wants to help Dave defeat Expunged out of a desire to create order. Unfortunately, part of its definition of 'order' seems to involve inflicting above-described Body Horror on certain people for unknown reasons, and other information from the Terminal describes it as bordering on insanity.
Exbungo
A 3D Bambi-like entity who serves as the opponent of "Kabunga".
- Denser and Wackier: Even in an already rather wacky mod, Exbungo is never once taken remotely seriously. His appearance is of a fat, goofy-looking Expunged, his voice is just a pitched-up version of Bandu's, and giving him admin permissions in the Terminal leads to a random song with the opponent replaced with him and the instrumental replaced with an
amen break. - Good Counterpart: Possibly one to Expunged, considering how they have similar color schemes, and are both fought by trying to use the debug menu in certain songs.
- Hidden Depths: If this video is any indication, Exbungo seems to be very good at playing the drums.
- No Fair Cheating: Like with Expunged, his song, "Kabunga," can only be accessed by trying to use the debug menu, although unlike Expunged, the song has to be "Glitch".
1. 0 Bambi
You lose = block
The first version of Bambi, he is the opponent of the secret week accessed by pressing 7 while on the week select.- Decomposite Character: The original 1.0 version of Bambi, turned into a separate character.
- Defeat Equals Explosion: He literally blows up at the end of "Master".
- Explosions in Space: The background in "Master" seems to be in space, and he explodes at the end of the song.
- no punctuation is funnier: Most of his dialogue doesn't have any punctuation. Except for the dialogue before "Master".
- O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In the dialogue before "Master", he drops his Word-Salad Humor and lack of punctuation out of anger.
- Plot-Irrelevant Villain: Despite having his own hidden week, he doesn't actually have any relevance to the plot. He also isn't even mentioned at all in the terminal.
- Stylistic Suck: He is poorly drawn in appearance and his dialogue is even more poor than the actual Bambi.
- Turns Red: He becomes angry in "Master".
- Word-Salad Humor: Even moreso than regular Bambi. At least, until he gets angry.
