The Principality of Elsaim is a country located in central east Zemuria, boarded to the west by the Republic of Calvard's Shirin Desert. In spite of its drought-filled climate, it is wealthy in natural resources, from Sepith to oil, and currently ruled by Grand Prince Saruman Asverl.

It has maintained a close relationship with Calvard since the latter's days as a kingdom, being a shareholder of the Republic's Verne Company and helping found the Basel College of Science. It's also a huge supporter of the Orbal Film industry, often investing in film companies and festivals.

The nation was first mentioned in Trails through Daybreak, with a few notable people showing up in Calvard.
