Victims
Ango Sakaguchi
The victim of case 4. Acted as the Vessel for week 5.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Buzzkill".
Battler Ushiromiya
The first victim of case 5. Acted as one of the Vessels for week 6 alongside Giovanni.- Awesome McCoolname: Giovanni thinks so! Battler is the only character who has not and will not receive a minion name, for the simple reason that his own name is just too cool.
- Tap on the Head: Gradually subverted. Although the others keep knocking Battler out like this as a preventative measure to keep him from seeing certain things, he begins to suffer from it in the form of getting migraines and other issues.
Crow Armbrust
Killed during the case 4 trial for interference.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Card Sharp".
Emil Fredrik Västerström
Killed by Giovanni during the final confrontation.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Rocksteady".
Flayn
The first victim of case 3. Acted as the Vessel for week 4 alongside Haku.- Eating the Enemy: Her method of trying to execute Subete (and successfully executing Crow in his place) was shifting into her dragon form and eating him alive.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Spearmint".
- Vampiric Draining: Her offensive healing spell Nosferatu.
- Voluntary Shapeshifter: She regains the use of her dragon form once she becomes the Vessel.
Gilgamesh (Caster)
Killed through a group effort by Olympia, Sho, Yuri, Flayn, and Subete during the final confrontation.- Hair-Trigger Temper: Has one of these, even in his state as the 'Wise King'.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Super King".
- Not So Above It All: While he deems himself above the rest of the 'mongrels', he wasn't above participating in party games. In fact, he's the one that suggested the maid uniform punishment.
- Relationship Upgrade: When a confession is given to him from Romani, this occurs at the eleventh hour, even though they were already dating. With lovely ramifications for the future, which changes the dynamic of their relationship.
- Royals Who Actually Do Something: Despite his ego and absurd amount of arrogance, he actually puts a lot of work into doing what needs to be done.
- Tsundere: Gets called this first by Date, and then others repeatedly, especially once the term is defined to everyone...much to his annoyance.
Gin Ichimaru
Presumed killed by Subete during the final confrontation.- Brutal Honesty: Even though he mostly kept his cards close to himself early on, Gin's not afraid to deliver on this.
- Hated by All: Manages to attain this status due to just how many people he manages to rub the wrong way.
Giovanni Potage
The second victim of case 5. Acted as one of the Vessels for week 6 alongside Battler.- Affably Evil: He's a proud villain whose ultimate goal is to conquer the world. He's also a guileless Nice Guy who balks at violence, loves to knit, and cares deeply about his "minions" (the other agents).
- Big Brother Instinct: Towards several of his "minions", most notably Yachi and Dazai, whom he feels a need to protect (despite both of them being older than him).
- Break the Cutie: While he may be annoyingly bent on coming off as a cool bad guy, Giovanni has a very obvious soft, squishy center. He's visibly destroyed after Sho is executed, and later when Vessel!Olympia incinerates the bandanna he gives her.
- Card-Carrying Villain: Never misses a chance to proclaim how evil he is, despite... not actually doing anything evil since his arrival at the Foundation.
- Chuunibyou: Somehow manages to be a chuuni despite actually having a superpower. In his case, it manifests in him giving his attacks over-the-top and ridiculous names.
- A Father to His Men: As a Banzai Captain, he considers himself the boss of all the other agents, and as such tries to place himself in a protective role over them.
- Groin Attack: His ill-fated first showdown with Rin culminates in her kicking him in the dick.
- Hyperspace Arsenal: Where does he keep that knife-bat?
- In-Series Nickname: Sho calls him "Souper Star". Sissel calls him "Captain Doomkiller" (after Giovanni's own preferred minion name). Rosa calls him "Soup Man".
- The Nicknamer: Considers all of the other agents his minions, and as such feels the need to bestow "minion names" upon each of them - except Battler, whose name he deems already perfect.
- Real Men Wear Pink: He knits as a hobby and has taken to painting his nails pink (due to the House's lack of black nail polish).
- Wholesome Crossdresser: Eagerly changes into a maid dress in the Truth or Dare game, even before losing a dare. Zabuza notes, with some irritation, that the look works for him.
Haku
The second victim and initial killer of case 3. Acted as the Vessel of Week 4 alongside Flayn.- Dying as Yourself: He briefly transforms back to his normal self and tries to write an apology to Zabuza before dying.
- Forced Transformation: The miasma causes the simple act of touching Flayn's Crest Stone to be enough to turn him into a Demonic Beast.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Needles".
- Mugging the Monster: He picked Flayn as a target because he believed she would be easier to kill. He didn't know she was a capable mage and would be able to fight on even ground with him.
Hikage
The first culprit of case 5.- Beneath the Mask: Certainly did well in hiding his true colors until a reveal in a certain trial.
- Beware the Quiet Ones: Definitely fits the trope to a T, considering the nature of his reveal.
- Hope Crusher: Did his best to invoke this on Battler as he was slowly dying by his hand.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Mace".
Hitoka Yachi
Died from Sho giving her a painless death.- Badass Normal: Could be considered this, because she's basically the most normal person here out of the entire cast.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Pepper Spray".
- Nerves of Steel: Despite how bad things get and she seemed to be someone who has a nervous disposition than most, she takes detailed notes of even the most gruesome events.
Kaname Date
The second culprit of case 5.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Hot Fuzz".
- Never Live It Down: Shot at a wall on day one and ends up injuring himself due to ricochet. Ends up being a running joke OOCly.
Ky Kiske
Killed by Marona and Battler during the final confrontation.- Child Soldier: As his canon point is the Battle of Rome, he is only fourteen years old.
- Troubling Unchildlike Behavior: Being one of the younger characters (same age as Marona), this is often the reaction of the adults once they realized he is still a minor.
Marona ("Carona")
Killed by one of Sho's Noise wolves during the final confrontation.- Badass Adorable: One of the youngest and outright the shortest (not counting Sissel), but one of the more competent fighters.
- I See Dead People: She can see phantoms (or anything ghostly). Tried to hide this and lasted about three days.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Pointy End".
- Technical Pacifist: She doesn't like violence.
- Wise Beyond Their Years
Mo Xuanyu
Killed by Ango during the final confrontation.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Death Charmer", at his own suggestion.
- Red Herring: Was deliberately played up as a possible identity for Tages.
Nanaka Tokiwa
Killed by Olympia during the final confrontation.- Dying as Yourself: She returns to her regular form when the mansion returns to reality.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Curtain Call" after she enters her doppel form.
- Passed in Their Sleep/Slain in Their Sleep: A little of both. She returns to her normal form and passes out, allowing Olympia to take and destroy her Soul Gem.
- Spanner in the Works: Proves to be this in the last moment, against the curse when she uses her curse-eating ability to help almost all remaining miasma ghosts to return to normal in an impressive move.
Olympia
The victim of week 1. Acted as the Vessel for week 2.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Doombot".
- Self-Destruct Mechanism: She has one, but she never gets around to using it. Her killer, on the other hand...
- SkeleBot 9000: Her profile describes her as having a skeletal appearance.
- What Measure Is a Non-Human?: She is clearly robotic, but most characters accepted her as a person except for her killer.
Osamu Dazai
Killed by Rin during the final confrontation.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Deathseeker".
Rin Tohsaka
Scapegoated during week 3 to account for the extra death.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Nemesis".
- Walking Techbane: Absolutely terrible with technology to the point where several characters forbid her from going near the camera feeds.
Romani Archamann
Alive and frozen in time... for now.- Butt-Monkey: Thanks to Ango's power, people discovered he's an Otaku, and no mercy is given.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Sawbones".
- King Incognito: Absolutely can be considered this, given what his true identity is, beyond his true role in the Foundation.
- Never Live It Down: Gets consistently harassed by ghosts due to his role in being one of the people who had a part to play in Rin's death. And then of course, people turn up the heat on him again due to how the information on votes were revealed. Then there's vessel! Battler who came after him later, knowing Romani felt guilty for not being able to save him.
- Secret Identity: He's Tages.
Rosa Ushiromiya
Killed by Battler during the final confrontation.- Hopeless Suitor: Was this to Gilgamesh...much to Romani's annoyance.
- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Seam Ripper".
Saphir Wyon Neis
Escaped the house during the final confrontation.- Dirty Coward: Flees during the final confrontation.
- In-Series Nickname: Decided to come up with his own list of potential minion names for himself, from which Giovanni chose "Replicator X".
Seteth
Killed by a trap during Week 4.- Heroic BSoD: He goes semi-catatonic when Flayn dies.
- Heroic Sacrifice: He dies protecting Gilgamesh from one of the trapped rooms.
Sho Minamimoto
The culprit of case 1.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Matrix".
- Mad Artist: One of his first major acts is to create one of his signature heaps in the ballroom.
- Too Clever by Half: While Sho is clearly intelligent, he's nowhere near as smart as he thinks he is. This is what ultimately lead to his demise.
- Walking Shirtless Scene: Jack makes him go around shirtless at the start of Week 3. Many of the House's other residents don't mind too much.
Sissel
Escaped the house during Week 5.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Hellcat".
- Only Sane Man: Frequently the voice of reason and sensibility in the group.
Subete Kenzaki
The culprit of case 4.- Last Stand: Despite everything, attempts this once he's found out as a massive 'fuck you' to the vessels and the curse.
Yuri Egin
The culprit of case 2.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls her "Devil May Care".
Zabuza Momochi
The culprit of case 3.- In-Series Nickname: Giovanni calls him "Mist Demon", a shortening of his canon nickname, "The Demon of the Mist".
- Morton's Fork: Haku dared him to wear a maid's dress... when the Truth or Dare game's punishment is to wear a maid's uniform.
Other Characters
The Missing Team
A team of Foundation agents who disappeared into the mansion. One member of this group was particularly important to the Foundation. The previous round characters reviewing the Incident know this is because he is actually Tages, a member of the O5 Council. If he isn't found and returned alive, Mayuri is in line to replace him. Fortunately, he's Romani, who makes it to the end.Agent T/Timmy Turner
Killed in week 2.A member of the previous group who survived long enough to briefly make contact with the player characters, believing himself to be the last survivor.
- Ascended Meme: Players joked that Agent T actually stood for Timmy Turner, and the mods decided to roll with it and base his name and appearance on Timmy's adult appearance from Channel Chasers.
- Sacrificial Lion: It's possible that he is Tages, in which case he's extremely important to the ongoing storyline—he's the whole reason the round 5 characters are there to begin with, and the reason the in-betweeners are reviewing the incident—and he dies in week 2 immediately after making contact with the Agents.
"Staff-chan"
A Hayes Mansion staff member who was sealed in a storage room for twenty years along with the video records of the Winchester Incident. When she was finally found, she'd been corrupted by the house's curse.—-- We Hardly Knew Ye: About five hours of real time passed between her introduction and her death.
- A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: She initially seemed a little off-kilter but friendly and helpful, but turned out to be plotting to kill the in-betweeners.
Todd
On October 31, 1999, a group of college students entered the Winchester mansion and fell victim to the curse. Todd was the last to die, and was subsequently chosen to act as the curse's Vessel when the Victims first arrived.- Humiliation Conga: Entered a cursed mansion on Halloween, lost his contact lenses, broke his leg, and died of dehydration, leaving him eternally stuck as a thirsty, squinting ghost in a Brock costume, and then had to deal with a massive group of Cloudcuckoolanders and Bunny Ears Lawyers, one of whom eventually forced him to retrieve evidence that had been flushed down the toilet.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Perhaps unsurprisingly given his experiences, this is his attitude at the end of the first trial when he announces that the next Vessel has been chosen.
