Terran Empire

     General

The Mirror Universe counterparts of the Federation, having descended back into being tyrants after liberating themselves from the Klingon-Cardassian Alliance.

  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Everyone in the setting seems to be possessed by this, fitting their duplicitous anti-Federation status.
  • Decadent Court: The Emperor's court is full of power jockeying scheming from their Starfleet to nobility.
  • Evil Counterpart: A lot of the Terran Empire's heavier ships are explicitly marked as "Destroyers" or "Dreadnoughts". In comparison to the Federation, which only has two types of destroyers (the Chimera-class and the Dyson Science Destroyer) and the Galaxy-X.
  • Mirror Universe: Duh. They are the evil universe of Star Trek, updated to the new timeline.
  • Mirror Self: The starships are easily this. They look the same and function the same, but the only real difference is their abilities.

The Terran Emperor AKA Mirror Wesley Crusher
Played By: Wil Wheaton
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mirror_wes.jpg

The Emperor of the Terran Empire. He is a powerful psychic seeking godhood.

  • A God Am I: Wesley wishes to merge with the Other and become a being even more powerful.
  • Ascend to a Higher Plane of Existence: The Emperor's plan for the Other is to merge with it and become even more powerful.
  • Arc Villain: Of the "Future Proof" storyline.
  • Evil Counterpart: Of course. This Wesley, instead of being a Traveler or lovable nerd, is a cold hearted and ruthless conqueror.
  • Karma Houdini: Wesley is defeated by the players and separated from the Other but V'Ger takes pity on them and decides to re-educate them instead of destroying them.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Wesley leads from the front to take over the Other, fighting alongside his troops.
  • Psychic Powers: Wesley Crusher's powers from TNG are something his Mirror Universe counterpart has exploited to conquer the Empire.
  • Tyke Bomb: The Emperor was born with immense mental potential that only grew more powerful after an encounter with the Traveler.
  • You Have Failed Me: As Emperor of the Mirror Universe, the threat he gives to his subordinates is almost always some variant of this.

     Mirror Leeta
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mirror_leeta.png
Played By: Chase Masterson

A former occupant of Terok Nor (what we know as Deep Space 9), now an admiral in the Terran Imperial Starfleet.

  • Category Traitor: She's a Bajoran working for the Terrans in a version of the mirror universe where the Terrans reestablished their old Empire and resumed the Occupation. Initially implied by another Bajoran officer complains when queried by the player that for her part, her relatives consider her a traitor while the Terrans think she's a spy, so it's reasonable to assume the same applies to Leeta (who doesn't even have the risible excuse of trying to work for her people from within Terran ranks). Later made explicit in the Terran Reputation cutscenes, where she remarks she dealt with both Fantastic Racism and severe sexism and basically slept her way to the top.
  • The Chosen One: She proclaims that she's been chosen by the Pah-Wraiths. If that's true, then things are gonna get heated up...
  • Cool Starship: She flies the I.S.S. Enterprise-F. Which she will gladly tell over and over again when she shows up.
  • Dual Wielding: Does this with a pair of daggers in promotional artwork.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: When we first saw her in "The Emperor's New Cloak", she was just a member of the Terran Rebellion. Now? She's friggin' Admiral of the forces.
  • Large Ham: Well, seeing as Mirror Hakeev is both a good guy and a DOFF, someone has to be this and boy, does Leeta run with it.
    • If you really want to hear her ham it up, look no further than the Counterpoint Task Force Operation. Mirror Leeta tries to seize Deep Space 9 by bringing Terok Nor across, and will not shut up about the wrath of the Terran Empire and suchlike the entire time. Even when you kick her out, she gets in a stock "you haven't seen the last of me!"
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Leeta was part of the Temporal Liberation Front with the Terran Empire. Then the player character beats her into the ground in preventing an invasion of the Enterprise-J. Also happens in the Badlands battlezone, as the combined forces grind her ship to dust. Sadly, she throws taunts even at 0 hp.
  • Sleeping Their Way to the Top: It's strongly indicated in her diary entries that this is part of how she reached her current rank.
  • Stripperiffic: The new Terran Empire women's uniform consists of a leather crop-top unzipped past her breasts, and hot-pants. Drew both complaints on the forums (with both the usual "it's Rule of Sexy fanservice over safety and practicality" reasoning, and the comment that when those uniforms were worn in TV canon, it was because the wearer was basically a Sex Slave for her male crew, so why is she wearing it when she's the one in charge?), and alternately calls for her outfit to be purchasable.

     Mirror Janeway
Voiced By: Kate Mulgrew
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/marshal_janeway.jpg

The Marshal of the Terran Empire.

  • Cyborg: Mirror Janeway was once assimilated and now has signs of being an ex-Borg.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Katheryn Janeway. Mirror Janeway possesses all of her tactical acuem but is a ruthless schemer.
  • Enemy Mine: The player character ends up working with them against her rivals, Captain Killy and Mirror Kuumarke.
  • Klingon Promotion: Killy attempts to pull one of these on Mirror Janeway. It mostly succeeds.
  • Lady of War: Mirror Janeway is an efficient ruthless military commander as well as a woman.
  • Space Pirate: Manages to hijack the I.S.S Voyager and plans to use it to run her own personal war against the Empire.
  • Revenge: After she loses her position, she proceeds to devote herself just to making life more difficult for Captain Killy.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: Has this reaction to Killy and Kuumarke's treachery, vowing revenge even over regaining her old position.

The Inquisitor AKA The Mirror Player Character
Voiced By: Mark Dodson (Male), Mara Junot (Female)

The player character's Evil Counterpart.

  • Category Traitor: Even if Klingon or Romulan or other race, the Inquisitor serves the human centric Terran Empire.
  • The Dragon: Serves as Co-Dragons with Captain Killy to the Terran Emperor.
  • Evil Counterpart: They are the Empire's best soldier and one of their greatest leaders, just like their alternate in the player character.
  • Friendly Enemy: Despite the fact they cost the Inquisitor their vocal chords, they seem to have a somewhat playful rivalry.
  • Klingon Promotion: Seeks to enact one of these against Mirror Janeway.
  • Only Sane Man: Much like their Prime Universe counterpart, the Inquisitor understands the dangers of Evil Is Not a Toy and thinks the Other is a danger to all life in the multiverse.
  • Retcon: Tilly claims to have killed them when you meet her as your main character. It turns out their assassination attempt failed.
  • The Rival: Is this to Captain Killy for the Emperor's favorite.
  • Suddenly Voiced: The Inquisitor has an artificial voice box that gives them voiced lines for the first time.

I.S.S Discovery

     General
The crew of the I.S.S Discovery that is transported to the future by their spore drive.

  • Anti-Mutiny: Security Chief Patel and the PCs help Tilly arrange one of these.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: As to be expected on a Terran vessel.
  • Enemy Civil War: Averted as you ally with Tilly's faction against the Mutineers. Then she turns against you.
  • Evil Counterpart: To the U.S.S Discovery crew, of course.
  • Evil Versus Evil: They're enemies with House Mokai.
  • Fantastic Racism: To extreme levels. The very idea of allying with aliens or alien-aligned individuals results in an immediate mutiny against Tilly.
  • The Mutiny: Has one of these happen the moment they come to the future.

     Captain Tilly ("Captain Killy")

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/260px_sylvia_tilly_mirror.png
Voiced by Mary Wiseman

Captain Sylvia Tilly (also known as "Captain Killy") is a Terran Captain and the Mirror Universe counterpart of Cadet Sylvia Tilly. In 2256, Tilly was in command of the I.S.S. Discovery. When the U.S.S. Discovery jumped into the Mirror universe using the spore hub drive, Tilly, her ship and her crew were thrown into the 25th century of the Prime universe where she remains at large.

  • Ambition Is Evil: Plans on becoming Emperor of the prime universe.
  • Ascended Extra: She's not seen in person in Star Trek: Discovery, as she's already disappeared when the U.S.S. Discovery is transported to the Mirror Universe, allowing Prime!Tilly to take her place. We see where and when she ended up, and she becomes the Arc Villain for the "Peril over Pahvo" arc.
  • Bad Boss: Threatens Patel with an Agonizer Booth and has all of the mutineers executed.
  • The Baroness: Of the sexpot variety.
  • Blatant Lies: Claims she's seeking asylum in the regular universe. She actually wants to conquer it.
  • The Bus Came Back: She disappears at the end of the "Peril over Pahvo" two-parter, is absent for the Klingon Civil War storyline, then returns as part of present-day Terran forces in "Red Shift".
  • The Captain: Is the Captain of the I.S.S Discovery and a particularly feared and ruthless one at that.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: Par for the course with Terrans, but Killy apparently takes it up to eleven. She pulls a You Have Outlived Your Usefulness manoeuvre on the player character over Pahvo, and by the time she's rejoined the 25th century Terran forces, she's already tried to kill the Terran Inquisitor at least once, and successfully backstabs Marshal Janeway during the raid on Jupiter Station, and seems to be prepping to use the Emperor's Prize to attempt to usurp him.
  • Debt Detester: Refuses to fire on your ship again due to the help you gave her.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Invoked on her rather than by: even the other 25th century Terrans think she's unhinged, which is really saying something.
  • Evil Overlord: Plans on becoming one of these in the main universe.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Is thrown into the future by the spore drive.
  • Hypocritical Humor: She chides one of her bridge officers for calling the player and their crew "assholes", but calls you the same thing after you beat her in a Boss Battle in the next mission.
  • Ink-Suit Actor: Obviously her model is based on Mary Wiseman from the TV show (who plays Ensign Tilly).
  • In-Series Nickname: She acquired the moniker "Captain Killy" in canon, and it continues to be used here.
  • Large Ham: Mary Wiseman was clearly having entirely too much fun doing her voice work.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her Custom Uniform of Sexy covers more than most but is no less fetching.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Allies with the PCs against House Mo'kai and claims she's seeking asylum. Then turns on you after her superweapon is ready.
  • Uriah Gambit: Her superiors sent her to Mirror!Pahvo, which in that universe is a cruel, deadly entity, to die. Therefore, being thrown into the prime 25th Century was a blessing in disguise for her.
  • Villain: Exit, Stage Left: After you defeat her and her troops on Pahvo, she uses a Pahvan-enhanced transporter to beam away to parts unknown.
