Aryan Brotherhood

    Ron Tully
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ron_701png.png
Played By: Marilyn Manson

  • Karma Houdini: Tully is probably one of the most evil characters in the entire shows history. He brutally rapes and murders one of the most sympathetic characters left in the show. And what happens to him? Nothing. After killing Juice, he's never seen again and remains in his current powerful position.
  • Knight Templar: Subverted. At first he comes across as a 'true believer', but Jax correctly deduces that the only color he's really interested in is green, which is borne out by the alliances he makes with several non-white gangs through the Sons. Maintaining the 'brand' just comes along with his position.
  • Might as Well Not Be in Prison at All: He bought a visit room where he can discusses crimes and uses a cellphone. This means he is still a shot caller for outside operations.
  • Prison Rape: He's a big fan, especially concerning Juice.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: It comes with being a high-ranking member of the Aryan Brotherhood. Whether he actually holds these views privately is up for debate, but he has no problem airing them out in public.
  • Red Right Hand: Has no eyebrows, making him pretty creepy looking.
  • Tattooed Crook: Tully is covered with white supremacist tattoos.
  • Villainous Crush: A very disturbing one towards Juice. He seems to genuinely find him attractive and is often seen leering at him and gives him nicknames such as "pretty little rican".
  • Sadist: Tully deeply enjoys humiliating and mentally torturing his victims, this can be seen in his treatment of Juice. He very creepily starts mockingly treating juice like a girlfriend, first by sending him love poems and then by forcing juice to strip and cuddle with him.

    Eddie Gerber

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gerber_eddie_4751.jpg

  • Dragon Ascendant: He used to be in the Nordics, but when Darby left Gerber stepped up to form his own gang.

    Beatie

    Plow

Played By: Derek Mears

    Leland Gruen

  • Asshole Victim: He goes to the hospital and tries to kill the policewoman that witnessed their failed drug deal, so he won't exactly be missed when Unser kills him.
  • Evil Is Petty: He doesn’t want to hold in the same object previously held by "n*gger-lovers".
  • Politically Incorrect Villain: Even by AB standards he is definitely one of the worst.

The Nordics

    Ernest Darby
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/darby_soa.jpeg
Played By: Mitch Pileggi

"If the devil wants in...he'll get in."

The head of the Nordics (also known as "Nords"), a white supremacist gang mainly involved in meth trafficking.

  • Bald of Evil: Being in a white supremacist gang and all.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: In the first two seasons. He likes to think he'll be the guy to run the Sons out of Charming. He's very much not.
  • The Bus Came Back: In season 3 and season 6.
  • Butt-Monkey: His goals rarely succeed, and he eventually gets beat down so much that he becomes something of a has-been.
  • Demoted to Dragon: By Hale, briefly.
  • Disc-One Final Boss: With Marcus Alvarez in season 1.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: He clearly cares for Lumpy despite his Jewish background, and doesn't want to go through with putting him out of business.
  • Friendly Enemy: To the Sons at first (mostly Gemma), but he quickly tires of them and their rivalry grows bitter. They more or less reconcile in later seasons.
  • Hidden Depths: Darby first joined the Nords while in prison, and is their ostensible leader outside Charming. While he's quick to use racial slurs at gang meetings, privately he's seen hitting on Gemma while acknowledging her Jewish ancestry, has hired Mexicans at his legitimate workplace, and refuses to vandalize the gym business of an old Jewish friend. The implications, overall, are that Darby's not even slightly racist, but is a Punch-Clock Villain for a racist gang — in fact, in season 6, he's been disowned by white supremacist gangs for his relationship with a Mexican woman.
  • Humiliation Conga: Over the course of his appearances, Darby is put through the ringer: he's regularly beaten up, has his power stripped from him, is mocked by his allies and enemies, comes close to death and is reduced to being an errand boy for Jacob Hale.
  • Not Quite Dead: He's left to die in a burning warehouse by Weston, but turns up in the next season albeit worse for wear.
  • Punch-Clock Villain: Is revealed in season 6 to be involved with a Mexican woman.
  • Put on a Bus: Twice.
  • Reformed Criminal: From Season 3 onward, he considers himself to be out of the game, and is a happier man for it. He still helps the Sons from time to time though.
  • Two-Faced: Following Zobelle's betrayal of him, Darby now sports a large burn scar across one side of his face.

League Of American Nationalists (L.O.A.N.)

    Ethan Zobelle

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Zobelle_Ethan_2498.jpg
"I understand your anger and I know you think I'm some kind of devil. For years, I sat back and watched everything I love about this country slowly unravel: faith, values, morals, decency."
Played By: Adam Arkin

The head of the League of American Nationalists ("L.O.A.N."), a white separatist gang who desires to gain a foothold in Charming and force SAMCRO out.

  • Batman Gambit: This is his main weapon against rival gangs, especially the Sons.
  • Big Bad: Zobelle rolls into Charming to become the Big Bad of Season 2, instigating violence and going to war with SAMCRO.
  • The Chessmaster: Plays SAMCRO several times in season 2.
  • Consummate Liar: He's able to keep his good reputation with the general public thanks to being an excellent liar. Furthermore, deception, trickery, and subterfuge are his preferred tools and he uses them often and with nearly everyone he interacts with; he has true believer thugs like Weston do his dirty work and keeps them on his side by convincing them he's also a believer instead of using them for his own purposes, he gets a morally upright cop like Hale to at least consider him as a possible better option than SAMCRO by spinning a story where Zobelle is a Well-Intentioned Extremist fighting against the influence of corruption and criminality, etc.
  • Corrupt Corporate Executive: Owns a shop in Charming called Impeccable Smokes, and is the head of a violent white supremacist gang.
  • Dirty Coward: So very much. He blatantly hides in a store full of children knowing SAMCRO wouldn't do anything to him.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He genuinely loves his daughter, Polly.
  • Evil Old Folks: A gray haired man who's at least in his 50s, he's also a ruthless and underhanded criminal who treats ordering rapes and murders as just another day at the office.
  • Family-Values Villain: Subverted. His quote above is what he is on the surface, but he is willing to resort to rape and murder in order to achieve his goals.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He comes across as a mild-mannered middle-aged businessman, and lets his Dragon A.J Weston do the dirty work.
  • He Who Fights Monsters: Only if he was telling Hale the truth, and since every other word out of his mouth is a filthy lie, this is very debatable.
  • Immigrant Patriotism: Despite neither having an accent or an appropriate name, he claims that he's originally from Hungary and fell deeply in love with America and the opportunities it gave him.
  • Karma Houdini: Played with. He managed to escape with his life, but his daughter is dead, his gang has abandoned him, and he was forced to flee the country with his tail between his legs.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Successfully lays traps left and right, and SAMCRO and Charming PD fall for each and every one.
  • Mole in Charge: Despite being the leader of LOAN, Zobelle is an FBI informant.
  • Not-So-Harmless Villain: Clay and the Sons greatly underestimate him at first, even after Clay identifies him as being at the top of the 'Aryan food chain'. He dismisses Zobelle easily after their first meeting, considering him not to be a problem. Zobelle quickly goes on to damage the club, its members and Charming itself in heinous, irreparable ways.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Despite being an "American Nationalist", he's perfectly willing to work with the Mayans.

    A.J. Weston

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/aj_weston.jpg
"Fair's for losers. I'd rather win."
Played By: Henry Rollins

The muscle, or street leader, of the League of American Nationalists (also known as "L.O.A.N."), a white separatist gang trying to gain control in Charming and force SAMCRO out. Weston is an extremely violent ex-convict who carries out the brutal attacks on SAMCRO orchestrated by the L.O.A.N. commander, Ethan Zobelle. Weston's direct and die-hard connection to the Aryan Brotherhood makes him dangerous, since he can provide manpower to his gang to sell weapons and drugs to the residents of Charming (SAMCRO disdains hard drugs and protects their town from drug dealers).

  • Bald of Evil: He's a skinhead, after all.
  • Card-Carrying Villain: He has a big tattoo on his chest saying "I kill niggers".
  • Child Soldiers: Weston has basically turned his kids into little white supremacist soldiers for the race war he's so sure is coming.
  • The Dragon: To Zobelle, but he is quick to turn on Zobelle when the Sons show him that Zobelle is a faker only using L.O.A.N and the white supremacist movement for Zobelle's own ends.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His first meeting with Darby is this. Weston complains about the school system rewarding children for nothing, chastises Darby for hiring Latino workers for his workshop, essentially accusing him of choosing Pragmatic Villainy over adherence to white supremacy beliefs and racism, and makes it clear he doesn't care about money.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Weston has two sons who he loves and is extremely protective of...although he does let them use guns and has brainwashed them into the same twisted ideals that he believes in.
  • Eviler than Thou: Weston's first encounter with Darby ends with him advising Darby to cover up his Nazi tattoo... because he feels that Darby hasn't "earned" it.
  • Face Death with Dignity: When the Sons corner him in a tattoo parlor restroom, he accepts the fact that he's going to die and says "My kid doesn't see this." Jax agrees, and Weston's lasts words to his son are a warning to never talk to law enforcement before the kid is sent out. Weston then sits down and resigns himself to his fate without panicking or pleading for his life.
  • The Fundamentalist: Compared with Zobelle and fellow CoDragon Ule. Weston is a die-hard believer in white supremacy.
  • Hot-Blooded: Weston is ready to instigate violence at the slightest provocation.
  • Jerkass: In contrast to his Faux Affably Evil boss, Weston is aggressive and irritable and makes no real attempt to hide it.
  • The Only Believer: Weston is likely the only person in Zobelle's inner circle who really cares about "the cause", Zobelle himself is just using it to get rich and most of his other associates are also in it for the money. (Or at least mostly for the money.)
  • Perpetual Frowner: Weston's standard expression is scowling in barely contained contempt at the people around him.
  • The Rival: To fellow Nazi Ule, whom Zobelle gradually begins to favor since he's not as rigidly fundamentalist as Weston.
  • The Starscream: When he discovers that Zobelle is willing to work with Mexicans and isn't the Knight Templar he advertises himself as, Weston becomes infuriated and turns on him.
  • Those Wacky Nazis: A hardcore Neo-Nazi

    Polly Zobelle

Played By: Sarah Jones

The scheming daughter and accomplice of Ethan Zobelle.

  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Looks and acts like a sweet lil' lady... who's willing to help knock out Gemma in order to be raped.
  • Daddy's Little Villain: She's involved in her father's professions, including the illegal ones.
  • Dark Action Girl: Willing to take a blackjack to Gemma's head in order to help her father's enterprise.
  • The Dragon: Is an accomplice to her father's many crimes.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Genuinely loves her father, Ethan.
    • She also cares for her boyfriend Edmond and is devastated by his death.
  • Everyone Loves Blondes: She is young hot blonde.
  • Karmic Death: She's killed in self-defense by Gemma, who Polly had earlier attacked and set up to be raped as per her father's schemes.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: With Edmond Hayes, the son of a prominent IRA member. Their father's organizations are at odds due to SAMCRO's rivalry—who are the IRA's key allies—with L.O.A.N.

    Ule

A member of the League of American Nationals (L.O.A.N.). He has an antagonistic and distrustful relationship with A.J. Weston, feeling that, as Zobelle's right-hand man, Weston's ardent white supremacist beliefs are not allowing L.O.A.N. to broaden their horizons.

  • Bald of Evil: He's bald. He's in a white supremacist gang.
  • The Brute: One of the League's larger members.
  • Jerkass: Is just as irritable as Weston is.
  • The Rival: To Weston, for the position of Zobelle's dragon.
