Before there was Brawl, there was the World of Melee. These are characters who appear exclusively in Racconto, the prequel series to Smash King, either as full characters or as past incarnations of characters established in the main series.

Pichu
You can't let what they're saying get to you!"
Bowser's best friend from the days in Melee until he was killed by Ganondorf.
- Ass Shove: Pichu's Thundershock, according to Bowser.
- Covert Pervert: He uses his cute demeanor to rub his face in the chests of the female characters.
- Killed Off for Real: As Ganon has been implying, he truely did kill Pichu by shattering his matrix.
- Only Friend: He was this to Bowser for a long time.
- Ridiculously Cute Critter: Because of how cute he is he isn't abused like the other bottoms.
- Tagalong Kid: He seems to be a child and he tags along with Bowser a lot.
Queen Peach
"Goodbye, 'king.'"
The Peach before the current one, who turned out to be Bowser's Love Interest.- Dangerous Forbidden Technique: She knew how to alter and destroy the matrices of other trophies.
- Hidden Badass: She managed to beat Bowser to an inch of his life, much to the surprise of the Koopa King.
- Killed Off for Real: Her fate since there is a new Peach.
- Pet the Dog: She eventually warmed up to Bowser after recruiting him.
- Posthumous Character: She died well before the events of the series.
- Screw Destiny: She defied the stereotype that all incarnations of Princess Peach be sweet and caring, and instead opted to become a villainess.
- Small Role, Big Impact: Her romance with Bowser ultimately leads him to bucking his destiny as a villain, and his relationship with the current Peach stems from her death.
- Walking Spoiler: Not only was she the "first" Peach, she overthrew the entire alignment system of trophies, along with having knowledge of how to alter and destroy a trophy's matrix. Not only that, she was actually Bowser's former love interest.
The Previous Fox
Watch yourself, you might just lose sight of me if your aren't careful! Cause I'm fired up."
The Fox who was around during the days of Melee, and number one Smasher. It was said that he had good instincts, and this is why Ganondorf had him killed.
- The Ace: He was the top Smasher back in Melee. He was such a huge threat to Ganondorf's plan that Ganon ordered him to be killed immediately.
- Defeat Means Friendship: After losing to Mewtwo, he spars with him on a regular basis. The two form a friendship as a result.
- Killed Off for Real: Due to having good instincts and ranking as the #1 Smasher, Ganon had Fox killed immediately.
- Worthy Opponent: Sees Mewtwo as this after they fight. He is eager to challenge Mewtwo again, and it's implied that they become sparring partners later on.
The Previous Falco
"How do you lose to dreck like that?!"
The Falco who was around during the days of Melee. He was the number two Smasher, right behind Fox.
- Always Someone Better: He is right behind Fox in rankings for best Smasher, so you can imagine his anger at the sight of Fox losing to Mewtwo.
- Fantastic Racism: Highly prejudiced against bottoms such as Bowser. He absolutely loses it when Mewtwo beats Fox.
- Jerkass: He is absolutely brutal on bottoms, especially Bowser.
- Sore Loser: He did not appreciate being beaten by Bowser.
- The Only One Allowed to Defeat You: He loses his cool when Mewtwo beats Fox, appalled that all his training was for nothing if Fox could lose to a "bottom."
Jigglypuff

The captain of Team Jigglypuff, she's incredibly stuck up and loves to look down on people.
- Accessory-Wearing Cartoon Animal: As the "Smash Queen," she wore a tiny crown.
- The Ace: She has been the Smash "Queen" for four years.
- Alpha Bitch: Just listen to the tone of her voice when she speaks.
- Brought Down to Normal: Finds out the hard way that in the Fourth World, she's nowhere near her former strength.
- Drunk with Power: Although the title of "Smash Queen" isn't an authoritative position, Jiggs believes that she is above everyone else just because of that title. In the Fourth World, she becomes this once she discovers her Final Smash.
- Face–Heel Turn: Seemingly undergoes one when approached by Ganondorf in the Fourth World.
- Large Ham: Despite her size she carries a very boisterous voice.
- Misplaced Retribution: Blames Bowser for her fall from grace in the Fourth World.
- Rip Van Winkle: She wakes up in the Fourth World, unaware of everything that's happened from Melee to now.
