The Main Shippers

     Roy Garber
"A nickle's holding up a dollar!"
Epithet: "The Handyman"
Company: Arbie's Team Transport
Stars: ★★★★★

  • The Ace: Easily the best shipper of the entire cast only followed up closely by Marc. Roy always did things professionally and rarely messed up any shipments in a way that Jennifer and Jarrett often do. There was a reason why his catchphrase was "Perfect just like me!" with even often others will quote his catchphrase. Roy only tops Marc because Roy can get nearly anywhere with his truck while Marc's big rig is flawed when it comes to residential areas. On top of that, he is able to build nearly anything when dealing with a load that requires extra protection.
  • Achilles' Heel: Perfect as he was, even Roy had his flaws. In this case, it's his temper. Roy is usually quick to snap at customers that often try to butt heads with him and this has lead to complications with loads. In one episode, Roy got into a heated argument with a customer that wanted to use his truck to load up his load but Roy was having none of it. The customer then hung up on Roy attempting to end the shipment right then and there. Roy, knowing he still wants to make money, has no choice but to call Jennifer to help him convince the customer to give him another chance. Even Jenn refers to Roy's disposition as "Being Roy."
  • Awesome Ego: Roy was the best. He knew it, the other shippers knew it, and he made damn sure well customers knew it as well.
  • Berserk Button: Telling him what to do. Roy was a professional and knew how to do his job. Whenever customers attempt to order him around, Roy was very quick to shut them up telling them to mind their businesses.
  • Brutal Honesty: Roy did NOT hold anything back on saying how he felt about certain people especially the more "weird" customers.
  • Catchphrase: "Perfect just like me." Becomes a Borrowed Catchphrase to others where they often will say "Perfect, just like Roy!" mostly out of respect for him.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Had a very dry wit and would almost always make snarky comments toward others, be it the other shippers or customers.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Was very rough around the edges and was never afraid to say what's on his mind about others, but he does have a soft side and is even willing to help out the other shippers mainly Jennifer and even Jarrett should they need his help. He also has a huge heart for children and does not ever want to disappoint them.
  • In-Series Nickname: Had been referred to as "Silver Jesus" by a few other shippers (mainly by Robbie).
  • Master of All: Thanks to his many years of experience especially being able to build things on the fly, Roy was able to ship almost any type of load that some of the other shippers couldn't.
  • The Mentor: When he was asked for help by Jennifer and Jarrett in a couple of episodes, he was (reluctantly) willing to help them out while giving them advice on how to properly load ships so they can do it themselves in the future.
  • Mr Fix It: When there was a load that needed extra protection to keep it in place, Roy was able to craft something to hold it up in no time. He wasn't known as "The Handyman" for nothing.
  • Morality Pet: His pet cat Muffy was a literal example to him. Muffy was pretty much the only thing Roy showed consistant kindness towards.
  • No Social Skills: Oh no. Roy definitely had social skills. In his line of work, he just didn't care to use them.
  • Petthe Dog: In one episode, the shipment up for bid was a Buzz Lightyear ride going to a birthday party for a kid who had lost his father. The other shippers, visibly choked up by the story, keep their bids very low. What does Roy, who has been shown to despise other people, bid? $0, and openly admits he's doing it for the kid.

     Marc Springer
"More money, more money, more money!"
Epithet: "The Big Rig"
Company: Snortn' Boar Transport
Stars: ★★★★★

  • The Ace: Is this alongside Roy as the two most consistent shippers throughout the seasons. After Roy's tragic passing, Marc fully takes over as the most experienced and consistent shipper on the show.
  • Achilles' Heel: Residential areas. Marc's big rig may have more horsepower than Roy's truck, but as Roy stated in one episode, his truck can go nearly anywhere while Marc's big rig cannot handle the tight corners of residential areas. If Marc is faced with this situation, he usually has to abandoned his truck and/or trailer and find a different way or vehicle to get the load to the customer.
  • Awesome, but Impractical: Marc's big rig and trailer is perfect for shipping large and expensive loads. However, when it comes to residential areas, Marc often has to leave his trailer behind due to not being able to make any sharp turns with it.
  • Odd Friendship: With Jarrett. Out of all of the shippers on the show, Marc has had the most direct interactions with Jarrett. The two like to take shots at each other, but at the end of the day, they get along decently well. Marc was impressed by Jarrett being able to handle a load he was helping him with, and in a later episode was even more impressed that Jarrett was able to hire movers ahead of time in order to unload both of their loads in time before their bet was off.
  • Pet the Dog: If Jarrett impresses him in any way, Marc will be quick to complement him. Especially after Jarrett won their bet, Marc said that even the late Roy would've been impressed with him.
  • Running Gag: Marc seems to have a bad track record when it comes to getting caught in bad weather. Even Jennifer lampshades this in one episode.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: In the episode "20,000 Pound Carnival Ride," Marc had to deal with an infamous customer that wanted him to ship a very heavy carnival ride to it's destination. The problem was that it the trailer that the carnival ride was supposed to be moved on had tires that was unfit for the road meaning driving on them with that heavy of a load is just asking for trouble. Marc was able to get the man that was buying the carnival ride to pay for new tires, however turns out the trailer had more problems on top of that. Both of the brake pods were leaking and it couldn't be signed off to drive. The biggest problem is that the man that was shipping it could care less and told Marc to ship it anyway despite the large amount of dangers it can cause for not just Marc, but any other people that may be in driving distance. Needless to say, Marc told the man off a new one and left on the spot. That was easily one of Marc's best moments in the series.
  • Troll: Marc loves to mess with the other shippers (especially Jarrett) when it comes to trying to force them to ship a load for as low as they can taking great pleasure if he success. During one episode when newcomer Johnny Chavez was doing a load, Marc managed to get his customer to mess with him thinking he had to do extra things which would've cost him more time to be wasted.

     Jarrett Joyce
"I'm very much an amateur at this."
Epithet: "The Rookie"
Company: Southern Shipping
Stars:

  • Achilles' Heel: Oversized loads. Since Jarrett only drives his tiny van (and later bus), Jarrett cannot handle any oversized loads unless he rents a trailer. Even then, it isn't a guarantee that he will still even be able to move them meaning he most times quickly drops out in bidding for one.
  • Boring, but Practical: Jarrett's van and later bus. While they both are capable of getting Jarrett to places quick and can carry light loads, they are not suitable for larger, more expensive loads. Because of this, Jarrett often finds himself needing to rent a trailer if he is attempting a big load, and when it is out of his price range to rent one, he quickly drops out of the bid.
  • Butt-Monkey: The worst shipper of the cast with the worst track record. He almost always messes up a load and is the shipper that has been in the hole more than any other shipper in the show.
  • Didn't Think This Through: He does this a lot throughout the seasons but his most infamous one is where he was supposed to ship a couple of monkeys and when he decided to stay in a hotel for the night, he decided to sneak the monkeys in a room. That was already a bad idea, but it got much worse when he decided to let them out. Not only the monkeys were completely destroying the room, but making a large noise in the process disturbing the other roommates. All of this happened past midnight. Needless to say, when Jarrett was caught by the hotel manager, he was not only kicked out of the hotel on the spot for his actions, but he had to pay a very costly $300 cleaning fee for the room itself.
  • Epic Fail: In the episode "Broken Down & Busted," Jarret, of course, breaks down and actually makes use of U-Ship to trick the other bidders to help him take his load to it's destination. Chris and Robbie (especially Chris) weren't too happy about this revelation .
  • Joke Character: Considered the Shipping Wars version of it considering how poorly he tends to do during shipments and many other bad, obvious decisions that not even a pre-schooler would make.
  • Running Gag: Jarrett's van has a very bad habit of breaking down when he needs it the most. Which is during almost every ship he has done!

     Jennifer Bernnan
''"I don't get intimidated, because I was raised to be tough."
Epithet: "The Cowgirl"
Company: Tie 'Em Down Transport
Stars: ★ later ★★ and a half stars

  • Achilles' Heel: Heavy loads. While Jenn has a little more room to ship heavy items than Jarrett, Jenn by herself always struggles with loading and unloading bigger loads by herself. She will often hire others to do all of the work for her as a result.
  • Friend to All Living Things: Jenn likes to consider herself this as she feels like she is the most capable of shipping any livestock believing she can form close bonds with them. She has shipped a wide variety creatures from crawfish, to pregnant horses, to lions! In one episode, she attempted to bond with a very smart bird, only for it to reject her and even told her to "go away" at the end of the episode.
  • The Load: Jenn has a very bad habit of letting others work on putting up and taking down loads for her especially during the time she was pregnant. A lot of the other shippers constantly breathe her for this with Jarrett even stating that he at least tries by himself first before asking for help.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Slightly. She went from being a one star like Jarrett in Season 1 to being two and a half stars in the later seasons. Despite that, she is still one of the least capable shippers on the show.

     Christopher Hanna and Robbie Welsh
''"It's about making money! We're logistics specialists."
Epithet: "The Hotshot Couple"
Company: Loaded Transport
Stars: ★★★★★

  • Jack of All Stats: Chris and Robbie fall firmly in between the aces Roy and Marc and the subpar Jennifer and Jarrett. While they lack the experience of Roy and Marc, their track record when it comes to shipments are much better than Jenn and Jarrett's considering they can haul bigger, more expensive loads while the latter two can't.
  • Put on a Bus: Were part of the main group from Season's 2 through Season 5, but are suddenly gone in Season 6 being replaced by Todd and Tamera.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: Chris' energic but hotblooded red to Robbie's much more level-headed and rational blue.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Chris and Robbie replace Suzanne and Scott from the first season, most likely being a much more competent 5 star couple than those two. Ironically, starting with Season 6, Chris and Robbie are suddenly gone from the show and are replaced themselves by Todd and Tamera.
