  • Butt-Monkey: Seven spends most of the first season being beaten and humiliated by anyone he fights. In the second season he becomes much more competent as he focuses on being the "island's strongest barber" rather than an assassin.
  • Guile Hero: When he does win, it is usually through fighting dirty and tricking his opponents.
  • Hitman with a Heart: Seven initially has every intention of completing the mission at hand. However, when he learns of his would-be victims' circumstances, he decides to help them get through their problems instead.
  • Kick the Dog: Seven fails at killing a kitten and even gets mauled by it.
  • Shear Menace: Uses a pair of scissors. He can summon them to his hand and direct them at a target, individually or together.

Voiced by: Duan Yixuan (Chinese), Naoko Matsui (Japanese), Karla Falcón (Latin American Spanish), Jennie Kwan (English)
  • Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: Checks all three boxes.
  • Stay in the Kitchen: Thirteen's backstory reveals that despite her skills and desire to learn, her father refused to teach women martial arts. In fact he seems to not care about any of his children, naming them in the order in which they are born and Its not until his son is born that he shows any kind of parental love.
  • Villain Decay: Starts off as a huge threat to Seven. This descends to her repeatedly losing her mask and failing to kill Seven.
  • You Are Number 6: She is the thirteenth daughter and is named Thirteen. It's clear her father didn't put any effort into naming his daughters, likely viewing them as failed attempts to produce a male heir.

  • Emperor Scientist: A scientist / inventor, who is also the leader of a country of inventors and scientists.
  • Mad Scientist: Largely averted; he is generally calm and pragmatic. Unless someone really pisses him off.
  • One-Winged Angel: Goes through a number of transformations while fighting Seven and company.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He seems to think that technology can solve all problems. While he will kill anyone who tries to stand in his way, he is also ready to help people whenever he can.
