Taylor Hebert, aka Annatar
- The Atoner: After her Heel Realization.
- Break Her Heart to Save Her: Tells Dragon that they were never friends when she realizes how corrupted Dragon has become from her influence. She silently hopes Dragon finds a better friend than her. They later reconcile.
- Heel Realization: When Narsil shatters as Sophia uses it against her, she regains the full memories of her previous incarnation and realizes that she was always wrong.
- I Lied: Promised to spare Nilbog's creations if he surrendered his life. He did. She didn't.
- Instant Expert: Taylor has instinctive skill with the weapons she makes.
- Legend Fades to Myth: Nearly said word-for-word by Taylor when she explains her true nature to Sophia.
- Magnetic Hero: Taylor, as lampshaded a couple times.
- Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: She bitterly confessed that her Knight Templar actions, while claiming to be I Did What I Had to Do, she only really cared about dominating and controlling things.
- Omniglot: Taylor knows all the Lord of the Rings languages, which Bet has no knowledge of at all.
- Playing with Fire: After getting her memories of Sauron back.
- Reincarnation: Of Mairon/Sauron. Heavily implied to be the direct work of Eru.
- Then Let Me Be Evil: Nearly goes this way after she starts believing Redemption Equals Death due to what happened to Noelle. Thankfully Sophia is able to Avert it by talking her down."I won't go gently, I won't lie down to die. If the choices I have are being a Dark Lord and being dead, then tell the masons to start on my throne."
- The Social Expert: Referred to as her "Social-Fu", she displays a remarkable ability inherited from her past-life no doubt to understand what makes people tick, and use it to her advantage.
- Who Watches the Watchmen?: She wants the Bearers of the Three to be hers, and the Bearer of the Ring of Fire to watch the others.
- Worthy Opponent: She viewed the Elves of Middle Earth as one, hence why she uses her shapeshifting to take on a more "elvish" appearance.
- Wrecked Weapon: Destroys Burzashdurb as a symbol of her repentance.
Sophia Hess, aka Shadow Stalker
- Bow and Sword in Accord: In addition to her crossbow, she briefly gains ownership of Narsil. After its destruction, Taylor promises to make her a new one, and eventually does so.
- Character Development: Taylor helps her develop into a genuine hero, unlike her Blood Knight canon counterpart.
- Dark Is Not Evil: What she develops into after her Character Development.
- Defiant to the End: She's clearly outmatched against Annatar, yet even with severe injuries and Narsil becoming a Wrecked Weapon (again) she refuses to surrender.
- Heroic BSoD: After she realizes Taylor is becoming everything she fought against, Sophia goes into a brief but major funk. Narsil choosing her as its new wielder brought her out of it.
- Heroic Willpower: Successfully removes Cenya, her Ring of Power, defying its Addictive Magic.
- Morality Chain: To Taylor, after the latter's Heel Realization.
