- Mad Scientist: Seems to be developing new weapons just for the fun of it, such as the Chekhov's Sonic Gun he uses to incapacitate Miles and Rachel.

One of the scientists who worked with Ben Matheson and Grace Beaumont.
- Butt-Monkey: Every time he appears, he's tortured, had his family threatened and is killed.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: Has it done to him by the Monroe Republic.
- He Knows Too Much: Rachel kills him so that she's the only member of the Blackout Team (in Monroe's custody) with the knowledge he needs.
Jane Warren

Appearing only in the episode "The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia", she is one of Rachel Matheson's old colleagues. She has knowledge vital to getting getting the power back on.
- Cool Old Lady: She casually kills two robber-rapists with a nifty murder device.
- Foreshadowing: The manner in which she kills the two Monroe Militia mooks out to attack Rachel and Aaron looks a lot like what the nanites are doing on Aaron's behalf in Season 2.
- What the Hell, Hero?: To Rachel, regarding bringing the power back.

A Military official who was working in 'The Tower' when the blackout happened.
- Southern-Fried Genius: He retains Glenn Morshower's strong Southern accent, but he's a smart guy who was at the centre of the Blackout.
- Well-Intentioned Extremist: His reasons for brutally murdering anyone entering the Tower is to prevent anyone like Monroe from gaining such strength.
