Remnant

RWBY

    Ruby Rose — Thorn

Ruby Rose

  • Asleep for Days: Using her Silver Eyes for the first time knocked her out for about two weeks.
  • Demonic Possession: Ends up possessed by the Venom Symbiote until Vision and Iron Man separate them.
  • Doesn't Know Their Own Birthday: In "Costume Quest", with that's happened lately, and her excitement over her first Halloween, Ruby forgot that it was also her birthday.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: She doesn't like being called Little Red Riding Hood.
  • Fangirl: She quickly becomes a fan of several of the Avengers. She also wants to get to know Ghost-Spider.
  • Fighting from the Inside: When Venom manages to grab her, she manages to resist it enough to sabotage its attempts to attack her friends and keep it from using her Semblance to escape.
  • Teen Genius: She manages to rework Trapster's glue gun, jury-rigs a repulsor to use against the Wizard, and is smart enough that Tony is able to get her enrolled at Horizon High.
  • Traumatic Superpower Awakening: Reflexively uses her Silver Eyes on the Shadow Colonel and his forces when they're about to overwhelm her and her friends.

    Weiss Schnee — Snowflake

Weiss Schnee

  • Awesomeness by Analysis: Weiss is very good at deduction and taking advantage of her opponent's weaknesses.
  • Cultured Badass: Like in canon, her high-class background makes her enjoy the finer things. She apparently has come to enjoy reading Shakespeare.
  • Cuteness Proximity: As always, she can't resist cute things, especially cute animals.
  • Summon Magic: Her summoning Glyphs, which Doctor Strange reveals to be actual magic when Squirrel Girl directs her to him.
  • You Were Trying Too Hard: Some training with Doctor Strange reveals that her problem with summoning was largely because she was trying too hard to control it rather than going with the flow.

    Blake Belladonna — The Shadow

Blake Belladonna

  • Badass Bookworm: Loves reading books, although unlike Weiss who enjoys classical literature, she enjoys more modern books and stories.
  • Berserk Button: Kraven reminds her a lot of the people who ascribed to anti-Faunus Fantastic Racism on Remnant, with his kidnapping of those supers with animal attributes like Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider, which makes her mad.
  • Commonality Connection: Being persecuted for what she is made her connect with the Maximoff twins, who know very well about that.
  • Food as Bribe: The only way that the others can get her to drop her vendetta against Chewie is by bribing her with a fish dish.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Although she doesn't say it out loud, Blake admires the X-Men for their actions trying to bridge the relations between humans and mutants, despite being feared and hated.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: She certainly doesn't like dogs, and unfortunately for her, dogs seem to like her. Lockjaw is a good example. Then she meets a werewolf...
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: After nearly getting Penance Stared and finding out that Hell is real, Blake starts to believe that she's damned after what she did with the White Fang, her friends and Robbie tell her otherwise, with the latter in particular telling her that just like everyone else on the planet, she's got a chance to work to avoid such a fate.
  • You Remind Me of X: She can't help but compare the actions of Adam Taurus to those of Magneto's. On another hand, she can't help but see some of her father in Professor X.

    Yang Xiao Long — Ignite

Yang Xiao Long

  • An Arm and a Leg: Yang still loses her arm here, only to Kang instead of Adam.
  • Artificial Limbs: Tony designs her a new nanotech-based arm that can even disguise itself as being flesh-and-blood. She still doesn't really have a sense of touch via it, though.
  • Arm Cannon: Her new arm has a barrel built into the hand.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: The Leader manages to control her briefly during the Raft breakout.
  • Energy Absorption: Her new arm can apparently absorb and store the energy she gains from her Semblance, which she uses to great effect in her Megaton Punch on the Abomination.
  • Megaton Punch: Defeats the freakin' Abomination with one of these. Weiss can't help but ask what the Hulk and She-Hulk have been teaching her.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: Much like in canon, she hates if someone as much as cuts a strand of her precious locks.

JNPR

    Jaune Arc — Knighthood

Jaune Arc

  • Atrocious Alias: Thinks his codename of Prince is rather lame, mostly because it originates from the Prince Charming tales. Ruby finds it hilarious.
  • Barrier Warrior: His shield can expand to create an energy barrier.
  • Oblivious to Love: Still clueless about Pyrrha's feelings towards him, even when she does things like getting noticeably unhappy when Jaune mentions that Gwen helped him with his shield upgrades.

    Nora Valkyrie — Voltage

Nora Valkyrie

  • Beyond the Impossible: How she managed to hammer Electro while he was in energy mode, Ren doesn't know.
  • Genre Savvy: When Black Widow is telling RWBY and JNPR about Graviton, Nora immediately guesses what happened after Hall continued the experiment despite Fury's orders.
  • No-Sell: Her ability to absorb electricity allows her to knock out Electro with quite ease.
  • Odd Friendship: Develops a friendship with the Incredible Hulk, mostly thanks to their love of food.
  • Serious Business: Pancakes. She takes them so seriously the main reason she wanted to take down the Frightful Four was to avenge the pancakes Ren was making for her and had to burn to make a distraction.

    Pyrrha Nikos — Invincible Girl

Pyrrha Nikos

  • Appropriated Appellation: Takes her hero name from what she was called on Remnant, in order to make it her own.
  • Everyone Can See It: Save to the man himself, her interest in Jaune is painfully obvious.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: She becomes noticably jealous when Jaune shows interest in Gwen or Luna Snow.
  • Magnetism Manipulation: While her powers are certainly not as powerful as Magneto's, she definitely gave the mutant trouble, and would have won had Mystique not knocked her out.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Thanks to Kang's interference, she survives. That said, given Kang was initially content to ignore her suggests that until he intervened, she had suffered her canon fate.

    Lie Ren — Tranquil

Lie Ren

  • Battle Couple: While they aren't officially a couple, he and Nora always fight well together.
  • Bring It: Literally says it when he's about to face Taskmaster.
  • Worthy Opponent: Taskmaster finds his ability to change fighting styles to match him impressive enough to make their fight worthwhile.
