アリサ (arisa)
Alisa/Alyssa Landeel

Myau

ミャウ (myau)

Odin

タイロン (tairon)
Tylon/Tyrone

  • An Axe to Grind: He's the only character that can use axes and one is his most powerful weapon.
  • Badass Normal: He's just a very sturdy soldier; no magic at his disposal.
  • Mighty Glacier
  • Only One Name
  • Spell My Name with an "S": Like Alis, fans can't decide if his Japanese name is Tylon or Tyrone.
  • Superhero Packing Heat: Odin is the only character who can use guns which compensates for the fact he can't use magic.
  • What Happened to the Mouse?: Despite being a main character in this game, he's never mentioned again after this game; only seen in flashbacks in PSIV. By comparison, Alis is constantly referred to throughout Algo's history and Myau and Lutz show up in future games.

Lyle

  • Carry a Big Stick: Unlike the typical spellcaster archetype, Lyle hits very hard with his staves.
  • Duel Boss: Challenges Rhys to one at one point. Interestingly, his abilities as a boss do depend on what he was equipped with as a party member.
  • Enigmatic Minion: Introduced as a thief who gives up his stolen legendary artifact immediately, joins up with Rhys later on, reveals he's been keeping another of Rhys' allies prisoner and fights him over her, is actually the dragon Rhys was hunting, but ends up on Rhys' side till the end of his arc and beyond.
  • Magic Knight: Specializes in attack techniques and hitting people with sticks.
  • Really Royalty Reveal: The prince of Shusoran, and brother to Maia.
  • Obvious Judas: Doesn't do much to hide the fact that he's Layan.
  • Welcome Back, Traitor: His defection lasted the length of a single hallway and throne room.

Lena

An ally of Rhys who does whatever she can to assist his search for Maia.

  • Arranged Marriage: Apparently Rhys' former fiance, according to the first arc's end. But there had been no indication that they knew each other when she breaks him out of his own castle.
  • Damsel in Distress: Held "captive" (unguarded next to the castles exit) by Lyle in her second appearance. How she came to be in that position, and when Lyle had time to catch her are never explained.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: One explanation for her behavior.
  • Reallyroyalty Reveal: The princess of Satera, an Orokian country - something which Rhys apparently should be aware of, but that the player is told by the king of Cille.

Kara

The daughter of Lune. Depending on how her father's Heel–Face Turn came about, she can have been raised in very different ways.

  • Badass Princess: The warrior Kara starts as this, but both end up as one.
  • In Spite of a Nail: No matter who the last hero is or what kind of person Kara has become, she will be a member of the endgame party.
  • Magikarp Power: The sweeter Kara understandably starts at level one, but grows quickly and has a better selection of spells.
  • Spoiled Sweet: If Lune was beaten down and redeemed by his sister, she is raised this way.
  • Warrior Princess: If Lune was never fought, he raised her this way as the war continued on. She's less than impressed with his lack of resolve, but is a just person at heart.
