Sophie Twilight
- Voiced by: Miyu Tomita
Sophie is a 360-year-old vampire girl who loves manga and otaku goods.
- Age Insecurity: When Akari asks how old Sophie is, Sophie realizes she's around 360 years old, gets embarrassed and insists a girl's age should be a secret. She prefers to think of herself as "forever thirteen".
- Animals Hate Her: Hinata's dog only growls and barks at Sophie, for some reason.
- Bookworm: She has her own library of books she has collected over the past 300 and a half years.
- Dark Is Not Evil: Sophie is a vampire, which at heart are nocturnal creatures who are Weakened by the Light, but she's otherwise a very kind soul.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: At the beginning, Sophie was used to living alone and didn't personally care that Akari wanted to be her friend, treating her as a mild nuisance. After Akari moves in with her, Sophie starts to warm up to Akari and accepts her as her friend. She also becomes more sociable and caring to the friends she makes later.
- Friendless Background: Akari brings up how it must be hard for Sophie to never age and watch how all her friends and lovers grew old and passed away. But Sophie takes offense to this, as she never had any friends or lovers.
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampire: Sophie is a sweet-natured vampire who lives by herself in a big mansion, drinks blood delivered from a blood bank, and wouldn't hurt anyone (she finds sucking blood from people scary, for reference). Instead she's basically an otaku with shades of Hikikomori (although she does go out on walks or to get books signed) - sleeps all day, watches anime all night.
- Friendship Denial: She denies that Ellie is her friend, insisting that she's just an acquaintance since Ellie just comes in and out of her life as she pleases. After Ellie moves to her neighborhood, they hang out more often and Sophie more or less accepts her as a friend.
- Hair Reboot: Her hair sometimes becomes short after most of it turns into ashes when she walks under the sun with her parasol. It always grows back to its original length in the night, though.
- I Just Want to Have Friends: Although she had convinced herself that she was alright with having no friends and living alone, Sophie didn't really protest to Akari wanting to be her friend and moving in with her. When she visits Hinata's house, Sophie is overjoyed that she's visiting a friend's house for the first time.
- Loner-Turned-Friend: Sophie lived over 300 years without a single true friend (Ellie didn't really count because she never hanged out with her for long). After meeting Akari, Sophie gets her own group of friends to hang out with.
- Monster Roommate: She's a vampire girl who winds up living with a human girl who decided to move to Sophie's mansion on a whim.
- Mystical White Hair: She's an immortal vampire girl with silvery white hair.
- NEET: Sophie's lifestyle is basically sleeping all day and staying up all night surfing the internet or watching anime. Well, she did try going to school once, but it had so many inconveniences for a vampire that she gave up on it.
- Occidental Otaku: She's a Western vampire who has become immersed in Otaku culture since arriving to Japan.
- Otaku Surrogate: Sophie spends all her waking hours watching anime and purchasing otaku merchandise (and sometimes going out for walks).
- Parasol of Prettiness: She always carries a parasol with her when going outside in the daylight. Although it's to prevent herself from turning into ashes, it does make her look even more like a doll.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Despite having the body of a little girl, Sophie is so strong that she can lift up a road roller with a single arm.
- Really 700 Years Old: She always looks thirteen because she became a vampire at that age, but is 360 years old.
- Red Oni, Blue Oni: Sophie is the calmer, more reserved blue to Akari's excitable and enthusiastic red.
- The Stoic: While not stone-faced, Sophie is very much the cool type and rarely has strong reactions to anything.
- Sugar-and-Ice Personality: Sophie is levelheaded, sensible, and composed so she doesn't show to care about others very obviously. She does grow to appreciate Akari's and their friends' presence in her life and treats them very nicely.
- Vampire Lolita Archetype: Sophie is a 360-year-old vampire who looks like a cute 13-year-old girl with long silvery white hair and red eyes. She always wears black Elegant Gothic Lolita-style dresses because it's easier to get the blood out of dark clothes.
- Vegetarian Vampire: Sophie gets all the blood she drinks from a blood bank.
- Verbal Tic: Sophie says "Umah" regularly.
Akari Amano
- Voiced by: Yū Sasahara
A school girl who begins living with Sophie upon meeting her. She keeps a collection of dolls and is particularly fond of Sophie due to her doll-like appearance.
- Covert Pervert: She had to make excuses to herself while saying she had "no indecent motives" apart from bringing shampoo when she was about to see Ellie's naked body in the bath.
- Cuteness Proximity: Akari gets this reaction whenever she's around the doll-like Sophie almost all the time.
- The Defroster: It's Akari's persistence to befriend Sophie, even moving in with her, what brings Sophie out of her shell after 360 years of loneliness and makes her open up to their circle of friends.
- Dogged Nice Girl: Akari is immediately infatuated with Sophie so she keeps visiting her house until Sophie lets her move in with her. When Sophie agrees, Akari hopes they get married in the future.
- First Friend: She's Sophie's first official friend. Sophie did meet Ellie first, but they were never formally friends until Ellie moved into the neighborhood and they started hanging out more often.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot: Akari's reaction after hearing that Ellie wants to suck Sophie's blood is to look for her camera. She's terribly disappointed that she missed the show when she comes back with her camera.
- Horrifying the Horror: Played for Laughs. Akari manages to creep out Sophie (unintentionally) with drooping smile she gets sometimes with Cuteness Proximity. It's even lampshaded in the anime by Akari herself. On another point, Sophie is scared of ghosts, despite being a vampire. On a much minor note, Akari also managed to weird out Ellie by responding to her attack/assault declaration (it's implied she took it as getting her blood sucked) with excitement.
- I'm Taking Her Home with Me!: Akari acts this way towards Sophie. Though rather of taking her home, she decides to live in Sophie's home instead. Sophie doesn't seem to mind.
- Lipstick Lesbian: Akari harbors a very obvious crush on Sophie, finding her to be adorable like the dolls that Akari loves so much and imagining herself and Sophie getting married when Sophie allowed her to stay in her house. She also gushes about wanting to pet her and comb her hair.
- Living Doll Collector: Unlike most examples, she only wants to collect one living doll: Sophie.
- Love at First Sight: She's smitten with Sophie from the moment she first sees her because Sophie is small and cute like the dolls Akari loves.
- Nightmare Fetishist: A vampire girl who doesn't need to breathe and has no body temperature? Akari thinks she's adorable because she's like a living doll! A creepy doll that can grow hair on its own? Akari finds that adorable too!
- Oblivious to Love: It's crystal clear that Hinata likes Akari as more than a friend. Akari doesn't seem to notice that.
- Otaku: Akari has an obsession with porcelain dolls. Sofie's doll-like appearance is even what attracted Akari to her. The sheer volume of dolls she owns and their appearance makes it slightly creepy.

Hinata Natsuki

Akari's friend from school.
- Childhood Friends: She has been close friends with Akari since elementary school.
- D-Cup Distress: Hinata is annoyed with Ellie after she complains about and grabs at her breasts since it reminded her of getting teased about them in middle school.
- Innocently Insensitive: She unintentionally offends Ellie in their first meeting by treating her like a child, not knowing that Ellie is older than Sophie.
- She Cleans Up Nicely: She looks very cute when her friends get her to put dresses on. Hinata herself is amazed by how girly she looks.
- Tomboy with a Girly Streak: She's quite the carefree tomboy and doesn't think she would look good in dresses, but she actually finds that she enjoys wearing girly clothes when she tries it.
Ellie
- Voiced by: Azumi Waki
Another vampire girl who is a long time acquaintance of Sophie's. She first meets Akari after having slept for over 100 years in her house in America before later moving into the neighborhood.
- A-Cup Angst: Ellie resents the fact she became a vampire while she was still a little girl, leading to her to have a young appearance with small breasts forever.
- Age-Inappropriate Dress: She wears a skimpy succubus costume in the Halloween Episode. While it's already indecent enough, it's especially inappropriate for a girl who always looks like a preteen to dress like that.
- Bathing Beauty: One of her favorite hobbies is taking baths, preferably in human blood.
- Berserk Button: She hates being called small or a kid because it reminds her that she won't ever become an adult.
- Blood Countess: Parodied. Ellie is obviously based on Elizabeth Báthory, being a vampire girl who takes baths in human blood to make herself beautiful. However, all these traits are played for pure comedy since she doesn't have to kill humans for their blood in the modern era. Still, Sophie gets annoyed when Ellie uses their blood bags as skincare products.
- Cosmetic Catastrophe: Ellie likes wearing makeup, but that's kind of a problem when she can't see herself in the mirror. She needs Akari's help to look presentable with makeup.
- Fish out of Temporal Water: As Ellie has been sleeping for a hundred years (she fell asleep in 1914), Sophie anticipates she's not ready for the modern world and that she wouldn't be allowed to freely go out biting little girls (or what is a computer).
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampire: She easily accepts that humans aren't hunting vampires anymore and that she shouldn't be preying on humans like before. Once Akari and Hinata show her they're good people, Ellie befriends them and enjoys hanging out with them very much.
- Hopeless with Tech: She simply can't try using a computer without breaking it.
- Immortal Immaturity: Ellie is 450 years old, but acts like a bratty child. Sophie, who is 90 years younger than Ellie, behaves much more like a mature and calm adult for the most part.
- Lesbian Vampire: Ellie unilaterally declares herself to be Sophie's girlfriend, forcefully sucks her blood and tries to kiss her on the lips. According to herself, when she bit people, she specifically chose females based on their appearance and personality... and she is shown to be rather annoyed with the fact that she can't go around biting people anymore.
- Lipstick Lesbian: She wears cute dresses, loves makeup and rubbing blood on her skin to look beautiful, and most of all, loves drinking the blood of pretty girls.
- No Full Name Given: She's only ever called Ellie while every other character has a known surname. Considering all the hints, however, her full name could be Elizabeth Báthory.
- No Historical Figures Were Harmed: It's heavily implied without being explicitly stated that Ellie is Elizabeth Báthory, an infamous Serial Killer often associated with vampires and one of the inspirations for Sheridan Le Fanu's famous novella Carmilla. Her age matches how old Elizabeth would be in modern days if she was immortal, she is more comfortable writing Hungarian than Japanese, she seems to be familiar with torture devices like the Iron Maiden, and she likes to bathe in blood, one of the most famous myths about the countess.
- Not Growing Up Sucks: She's very sensitive about being eternally stuck as a child. She often wishes that she had grown another four years before becoming a vampire, as she's sure she would have been a beautiful woman.
- The Older Immortal: Ellie is 90 years older than Sophie who is 360 years old.
- Parasol of Prettiness: Like Sophie, Ellie needs to carry a parasol when walking under the sun or she'll turn into ashes. She still looks cute with it.
- Really 700 Years Old: She looks around thirteen like Sophie, but she's even older than her, being 450 years old.
- Rip Van Winkle: She spent 100 years sleeping inside her coffin at America and only woke up recently.
