Jiro Yakuin
Jiro Yakuin (薬院 次郎, Yakuin Jirō)

The male protagonist. He is forced to pair up with Akari Watanabe in the couples training, though his main goal is to pair up with his Childhood Friend Shiori Sakurazaka. He will do anything to reach his goal, even acting as a newlywed with Akari.
- Aborted Declaration of Love: He almost confessed to Shiori back in middle school, but backed off at the last second when she asked him if they'd "always be friends".
- Blue with Shock: Whenever he's shocked or surprised by something, the upper half of his face goes blue.
- But I Would Really Enjoy It: Jiro isn't opposed to the idea of having sex and losing his virgin status but when Akari offers it at the beginning he tells her that she should do it with someone she loves. Though he admits that he has got lots of self-control for living with someone as sexy and seductive as her. In the anime he clarifies that Akari seemed to be trembling when she offered herself to him, and he felt he should treat her better rather than just take advantage of her.
- Ridiculously Average Guy: Downplayed but he's plain looking and a virgin which makes him a target of Akari's mockery. He always apologizes for being dull and boring compared to Akari's object of affection Minami.
- Green-Eyed Monster: He's jealous of Minami for being Shiori's partner and gets depressed at the idea of him being with Shiori forever.
- Imagine Spot: Has a tendency to imagine raunchy or romantic things about Shiori or Akari.
Akari Watanabe
Akari Watanabe (渡辺 星, Watanabe Akari)

The female protagonist. A Gyaru Girl who becomes Jiro Yakuin's partner during the couples training. Her goal is to become a partner of Minami Tenjin in the training, and she will do anything, even act newlywed with Jiro, until she ends up falling in love with Jiro and wants to become a real couple.
- Aggressive Submissive: Heavily implied. For all her seductive and teasing personality and constant taunting of Jiro for being a virgin, she gets all pliant when Jiro initiates something sexual with her, even if she's the one who started teasing him first.
- Beauty Equals Goodness: Her kind-hearted personality and love for Jiro helps him see more of her beauty and to fall for her.
- Bishie Sparkle: Whenever Jiro gets extremely close to Akari, sparkles surround her atmosphere and show her extreme beauty, especially her lips.
- Character Development: Akari was originally rude and cocky to Jiro and only cooperated with him so she can then switch partners with her crush Minami. After being with Jiro and being rejected by Minami, she admits she loves Jiro and doesn't want to lose him, gaining care for him and losing most of her arrogant behavior.
- Clingy Jealous Girl: Akari is very envious when sees Minami with Shiori and broke down when he attended the festival with her despite telling her that he couldn't attend due to his job. After developing feelings for Jiro, she shows annoyance of him being around Shiori, even begging him not to talk about other girls when he is in her room.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: At first, she's very hostile towards Jiro, only acting nice for the sake of raising their score. After living with him for some time, she gets to know him more and starts to show her kinder side more genuinely.
- Genki Girl: She has her moments where she gets sad but she's generally cheerful and upbeat. She refuses to let herself get discouraged for too long.
- Gyaru Girl: She's the kogal type who wears loose socks, short skirts, and unbuttoned tops and has a fitting daring and straightforward personality.
- Leg Focus: Her legs are normally shown in full display as they tend to shine.
- Long Hair Is Feminine: Her long, beautiful pink hair only adds to her good looks and femininity.
- Ms. Fanservice: The viewer is regularly treated to closeups of Akari's body, especially her chest. To add to the fanservice Akari is always wearing outfits that show off cleavage and her legs. There are shots of her panties as well.
- Nice Girl: Despite being a Gyaru Girl, Akari's true self emerges as she grows closer to Jiro.
- Perpetually Shiny Bodies: Played with. While her boobs are always shining, her knees and shoulders sometimes have a gloss on them but it's not consistent.
- Proud Beauty: She knows that she's extremely attractive and sometimes uses it to get a reaction out of Jiro.
- Sleeps in the Nude: Downplayed. Akari sleeps next to an unconscious Jiro on the couch in her underwear and his jacket when coming home one time.
- The Tease: She likes wearing skimpy outfits when she's alone with Jiro or when she's going to see her crush Minami and likes to seduce and ask Jiro if he wants to do sexual things with her. As her feelings for him develop, she goes further and puts on provocative outfits saying she'll wear them just for him.
- What Beautiful Eyes!: Her blue-green eyes normally have a sparkle around it when Jiro gets too close to her.

Shiori Sakurazaka
Shiori Sakurazaka (桜坂 詩織, Sakurazaka Shiori)

Jiro Yakuin's childhood friend and crush who has been assigned as Minami Tenjin’s partner in the couples training. Unknown to Jiro, she also has harbored feelings for him for quite a while.
- Childhood Friend: She's this for Jiro. He was hoping to be paired with her as he has a crush on her, only for him to end up forced together with Akari.
- Childhood Friend Romance: She has feelings for Jiro and he unknowingly reciprocated them but he eventually falls for Akari.
- Girlish Pigtails: She wears her hair in twin braids.
- Girl Next Door: She's sweet, good-natured, and is childhood friends with Jiro.
- Nice Girl: She's very kind and pure, and took care of Jiro when he got sick in episode 2 although Akari asked her to do so.
Minami Tenjin
Minami Tenjin (天神 岬波, Tenjin Minami)

The most popular male student in the school. He is Shiori Sakurazaka's partner in the couples' training and Akari Watanabe's crush.
- Chick Magnet: Minami is this at their school as he's noted to be quite popular due to his handsome looks.
- Even the Guys Want Him: Kamo's heart skips a beat when Minami calls him by his name (he remembers it!) and he even blushes around him at that time.
- Everyone Loves Blondes: He has blonde/yellowish hair and he's regarded as attractive by everyone.
- Likes Older Women: He was in love with his tutor Nozomi, but she rejected him and instead chose his older brother Haruto.
- School Idol: He's attractive, loved by everyone, and athletic.
- Pretty Boy: He's stated to be very good looking and called an "ikemen" almost once per episode.
Sadaharu Kamo
Sadaharu Kamo (加茂 貞春, Kamo Sadaharu)

Jiro Yakuin's best friend (and at first only) friend at school. Due to his bad luck with women in real life, he prefers 2D ones.
- Dramatic Spotlight: He always has one shining on him whenever he's being comically dramatic or monologuing.
- Plucky Comic Relief: He's the source of most of the comedy of the series and has a habit of observing and even Breaking the Fourth Wall for laughs.
- Otaku: He loves non-real 3D girls and video games a lot and is seen playing or referencing them.
Natsumi Ohashi
