Main Characters
George
A bouncy, upbeat Cyclops girl. The comic starts when she is in high school, but after the first chapter there's a Time Skip to college. Is best friends with Franny, and becomes good friends with lots of other monsters. She also becomes the radio personality for the school, announcing the days news.
- Anguished Declaration of Love: She finally confesses to Marina and it's a pretty tearful confession, even more because Marine tells her she can't return her feelings.
- Be Yourself: Learns to be comfortable with having only one eye after the first chapter, and also tells Marina that it's fine to be a total nerd, because it's who she is.
- Better as Friends: Apparently she and Franny kissed back in middle school, but they decided they didn't feel that way for each other.
- Book Dumb: She doesn't mesh as well with books as she does with people.
- Broken Smile: When Marina asks her if she's feeling okay about how much time Franny and Percy are spending together, she smiles and is about to say that she's fine, when she snaps and finally admits that she's not.
- Boyish Short Hair: Her hair was shoulder length in the first chapter, but has gotten much shorter since that.
- Covert Pervert: Some of the things she says to people come off as her being this.
- Coy, Girlish Flirt Pose: Although she's usually not flirting (or maybe she's always flirting?), she strikes this pose often.

- Cyclops: In case the giant one eye wasn't proof enough.
- Even the Girls Want Her: She and Franny kissed back in middle school.

- Girliness Upgrade: She was less upbeat and feminine in the first chapter than she is now.
- Heroic BSoD: A Slice of Life version of this: taking a huge level on Jerkass after Marina confesses to Franny.
- Hidden Depths: Plays the ukelele. Also, despite her playful nature, she's prone to spouting little gems of wisdom at times.
- The Idealist: Tends to only think about the best-case scenario.
- Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Though her character is much more developed than a stereotypical one, and it's not used for romance.
- Mistaken for Romance: Percy asks if her relationship with Franny is romantic.
- Must Make Amends: After being a huge jerk to all her friends, she realizes how awful she has been and goes back to ask forgiveness to them.
- Obsessed with Food: She has shades of this.
- Plucky Girl
- Romantic Wingman: Acts as one to Franny.
- Shipper on Deck: For Franny and Percy.
- Shrinking Violet: Acted more like one in highschool.
- Stepford Smiler: Is this when Franny and Percy start dating and Franny neglects their friendship.
- Sunny Sunflower Disposition: She has a smile for everyone.
- Third Wheel: Ends up being this to Franny and Percy after they start dating.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The outgoing, peppy tomboy to Franny's quieter girl girl.
- Took a Level in Cheerfulness: Became much more upbeat in college.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Not so much Jerkass as just insensitivity. It's always Played for Laughs, though, and she genuinely does care for people when they need her.
- Does this harder after the halloween party, after realizing Marina is in love with Franny and that Franny doesn't have as much time for her after Percy shows up
- True Companions: With Franny.
- Unrequited Love: For Marina.
- Wide-Eyed Idealist: Mostly played straight, but it's slightly deconstructed later: being this led her to believe that Marina returned her feelings, when this did not happened, she had a Heroic BSoD.
- Wise Beyond Their Years: She sporadically injects little gems of wisdom into her conversations, and seems to have a good understanding of herself.
Franny
George's best friend, a smart, kind witch who looks out for George's well-being and is generally there for her. After meeting Percy, they become good friends and eventually enter into a relationship.
- Berserk Button: Racism towards monsters is one of the few things she can't stand.

- Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: Her relationship with Percy has elements of this.
- Chastity Couple: Averted, she and Percy are always kissing or cuddling or at least together, and they eventually have sex.
- The Cutie: Generally seems to like cute things, and lots of her reactions are incredibly adorable.
- Cute Bookworm: Enjoys reading.
- Cute Witch: One of the cutest!
- Genius Book Club: Makes one with Percy.
- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: She's often associated with purple, and it's the color listed on her character page.
- I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: A non-romantic example, she tells George that even though she herself doesn't like Ben, she wants George to be happy.
- Long Hair Is Feminine: She has flowing white hair.
- Love at First Sight: She forms a crush on Percy almost as soon she she lays eyes on him, though she denies her feelings for a while.

- The Reliable One: She is always there for George and her other friends.
- Tall Poppy Syndrome: George fights with her, believing she can't understand her problems due to being too perfect and having a perfect life

Percy
A classmate of George and Franny's, he quickly becomes friends with them and eventually enters into a romantic relationship with Franny.

- Bookworm: Enjoys heavy reading.
- Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: His relationship with Franny has elements of this.
- Chastity Couple: Averted, he and Franny can't keep their hands off of each other, and eventually have sex.
- Emo: He has shades of this.
- Genius Book Club: Forms one with Franny.
- Mistaken for Racist: When he tells Franny that he lived in a people only neighborhood, he had to clarify that he wasn't monsterphobic.
- Pair the Smart Ones: He and Franny.
- Smart People Wear Glasses: He is super nerdy in appearance and personality.
- Trans Equals Gay: Averted. It's pretty obvious that Percy's transgender (and
Word of God has confirmed), but he's in a steady relationship with Franny. - Troubled, but Cute
Marina
A shy, introverted gorgon whom George meets in the library. After helping her out with her books, George invites her to eat lunch with her and her friends, and they become close. Has a strongly implied crush on George, although she turns out to have eyes for Franny instead. She also loves anime and webcomics, and draws in her spare time.
- Better as Friends: She asks George to keep being her friend even though she can't return her feelings, they are on better terms now.
- Bookworm: She works at a library, and has read some of the same books as Franny and Percy.
- Closet Otaku: Not exactly secretive of her geekiness, but she gets flustered when it comes up.
- Crush Blush: Whenever George is around.
- Cute Clumsy Girl: At times. She almost drops her books in her first appearance.
- Fangirl: Of certain webcomics.
- Gamer Chick: Talks in depth with Sasha about gaming.

- Gorgeous Gorgon: She's the object of George'a crush- even with the snake hair.
- Hopeless Suitor: Counts as one for Franny.
- Hot Librarian: She works at the college library.
- Innocent Fanservice Girl: Ends up being this when they crash into Sasha and she drops her glasses.
- Meet Cute: George helps her out with the books she's carrying.
- Oblivious to Love: Doesn't realize George's obvious crush on her and actually has a crush on Franny, who's with Percy.

Sasha
An outspoken Geek who crashes into George and Marina while playing his nintendo.
- Ambiguously Bi: He is a target of a skeleton guy just like others, but seems to be uninterested, though it is unknown whether it's because he doesn't like men or because he doesn't like him. This is not even counting the copious amounts of Hoyay he has with Ben. And that their relationship was never clarified by the author.
- Black Sheep: The sole member of his family that doesn't practice sports, his father makes it painfully clear how disappointing it is to him that Sasha isn't a sports guy.
- Crash-Into Hello: Him, George, and Marina.
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: When the other girls give him a makeover at a party.

- Heroic Self-Deprecation: Tells George and Marina that he's not good at anything.
- Lovable Nerd
- Luminescent Blush: Gains one when he knocks into George and Marina and lands on top of them.
- Meet Cute: Again, him, George, and Marina.

- Unrequited Love: It's implied that he has a crush on George, while she only sees him as a friend, going for Marina instead.
Ben
A minor character who only appears in the first chapter. He and George (under a human disguise) form a quick connection and start dating, until he finds out she's a monster and cruelly dumps her.
- Ambiguously Bi: Has a lot of Hoyay with Sasha. And that their relationship was never clarified by the author.
- The Atoner: Decides that he owns apology to a lot of people, including George
- Does This Remind You of Anything?: When with his dad, he is clearly uncomfortable with how his dad talks about monsters, since he has a monster friend, possibly even being dating Sasha, this is a very common scene of LGBTQ+ people with conservative parents.
- Fantastic Racism: He's prejudiced towards monsters.
- Jerkass: He's perfectly okay with George, until he finds out she's a cyclops.
- Jerk Ass Realization: After hurting Sasha's brother and being congratuled for it by his teammates, he realizes how much of a jerk he has been to monsters.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Regarding breaking Sasha's brother leg
- Kick the Dog: Cruelly dumps George after finding out she's a cyclops.
- Put on a Bus: He only appears in the first chapter. Justified as he most likely went to a different college than George and Franny. However, judging from his cast profile, it's implied that he might be coming back sometime soon...
- The Bus Came Back: He comes back in later chapters, as Sasha's friend.
- Odd Friendship: with Sasha
- Took a Level in Kindness: He seems much nicer after coming back, and legitimately nice.
- White Sheep: The only of his friends that actually felt like apologizing to monsters for causing them pain
