Original Characters
Marybelle
The main character and namesake of the story. She is the daughter of a rogue, and was adopted by the Clans as a newborn. Marybelle is a textbook example of a Parody Sue.- Artistic License – Biology: Luscious pink fur and icy blue eyes? Apparently that's a thing.
Betsy
A rogue she-cat. Mother to Autumn, Mason, and Marybelle. Formerly Pete's mate.- We Hardly Knew Ye: She dies in the prologue.
Autumn
The sister of Marybelle and Mason. She is killed and eaten offscreen by a fox.- We Hardly Knew Ye: Actually, we didn't know her.
Mason
Brother of Autumn and Marybelle. He dies of wounds from a fox fight in the prologue.- We Hardly Knew Ye: His only scene is his death scene.
Canon Characters
Twigpaw
Marybelle's best friend and foster sister. Suspected to be part of the prophecy.- Genki Girl: Optimistic and enthusiastic.
- The Lancer: Twigpaw is more hyper and enthusiastic than the protagonist, but less skilled.
Berrynose
Marybelle's former mentor. He undergoes a Face–Heel Turn, and is killed by the titular character.- Face–Heel Turn: He bcomes a cannibal for unexplained reasons.
- Hypocrite: Lampshaded by Twigpaw, when he acts racist towards rogues."You're a hypocrite!" Twigpaw blurted out. Her eyes widened as Berrynose advanced on her, but she continued. "You were born in a barn, and yet you consider yourself ThunderClan."
- The Obi-Wan: Bramblestar intended for him to be this to Marybelle. It goes horribly wrong.
Ambermoon
Twigpaw's mentor. She was killed and eaten by Berrynose early on.- Mentor Archetype: She was meant to be this towards Twigpaw.
- Sacrificial Lion: She dies in the first chapter.
Sparklight
The narrator of the prologue. She goes through a period of "emo-ness" before the arrival of Marybelle, apparently.- Emo Teen: She acts like one prior to the Time Skip, or so we're told.
- Heroic BSoD: Her depressive period was caused by the death of Sandstorm prior to the events of the story.
- Out of Character: Why is the normally bright Sparkpaw/light suddenly emo? Only StarClan knows.
