     Marc

The leader of the wilderness scavenger teams sent out to uncover supplies for the Lighthouse. Although he is dedicated to the Lighthouse and trusted by his commanders and his team alike, deep down he longs for a better life.
  • Living Is More than Surviving: A firm believer despite the bleak environment he was raised in. When the Lighthouse master confronts him and asks the reason for a transgression he committed Marc says that the Lighthouse may keep them alive, but its rules don't really let them live.
  • The Paragon Always Rebels: He's at odds with some of he senior members of the lighthouse leadership for wanting a better existence then what they've been saddled with.

     Ran Bing

The scavanger team sharpshooter. Calm sharp and agile, if there is anyone you can trust with your life its her.
  • Friendly Sniper: She's known to help motivate her fellow scavengers through their troubles when stress and fear get to them.
  • Ship Tease: She and Marc have a close bond, hinted to be romantic in nature. This is a problem, since such emotions are now strictly forbidden.

     Mo Cheng

An expert close combat fighter, with a distant yet caring personality.
  • Thrillseeker: Is known as the "god of car racing" by Lighthouse staff, implying its a passion of his.

     4068

One of the Lighthouses many "lowborns" unwilling to accept being defined by the genetic hierarchy, he longs for the life of the highborn. Opportunistic he's learned to take advantage of any situation and only his bond with his friends keep him from being completely selfish.
  • Deal with the Devil: Accepts one from Charles to betray Marc when he promises to make 4068 a Highborn, raising him out of the poverty of being a Lowborn.
  • You Are Number 6: Due to his undesired genetic makeup he, and all others of his class aren't given names.

     Erika

The youngest member of Marc's squad. Confident and slightly conceited, she enjoys the thrill of battle and equates it to a game in which she is the top player of.
  • Badass Adorable: She looks very cute in her power armor.
  • Child Soldier: Given the world they live in nobody can afford to turn someone away from a vital role due to their age,

     Tony

A stubborn and cautious man but a reliable and loyal Lighthouse hunter, whose reserved with is feelings, believing logical rationality the key to survival.
  • The Spock: As described above, he prefers to think with his head not his heart.

     Penny

A Lighthouse hunter who yearns for the freedoms and rights of the old world, smuggling back books, artworks, and other cultural items from then regardless of them being prohibited by the lighthouse during missions. She has feelings for Tony which is one reasons she longs for a bygone era when she would be allowed to act on them.

     Jessica

An enthusiasic genius engineer who likes to speak her mind, as well as tease others. She is none the less dedicated to her work and treats every job she does seriously, especially when it involves coming up with innovations for weapons and gear the Lighthouse personal might use.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Is the most physically attractive and openly flirtatious women in the cast.
  • The Tease: Likes to playfully joke of meeting up with others in one of the "golden rooms", the designated areas where the Lighthouse population procreate.
  • Wrench Wench: Works in maintaining and developing gear for the wilderness scavengers.

     Charles

The Bishop of the "Lord of Light and Shadow" who firmly belives he is destined to guide the future of the lighthouse.
  • Coat Cape: He wears his black coat on his shoulders.
  • Daddy Issues: His father is the head of the Lighthouse and he's shown to be be very upset when he announced he intends to name Marc his successor, a position he feels entitled to.
  • Sinister Minister: Of the Soft-Spoken Sadist variety, he thinks nothing of torturing or killing others to get what he wants.
  • "Well Done, Son" Guy: Deeply craves affection and approval from his father despite the Lighthouses shunning such emotional ties, and its why he resents Mark so much, especially after Charles was passed over in favour of Marc for the role of Morgan's successor.

     Fan Di

A loyal follower of Charles and the top enforcer for the church of the Lord of Light and Shadow. Her face hidden behind a mask, she's infamous for the cold judgments and harsh punishments she decrees while patrolling the Lighthouse, as she does not tolerant any who violate its laws or shows disrespect to the Lord of Light and Shadow.
  • The Dragon: She's Charles right-hand woman and is the one who enforces his will, alongside Sharif.
  • Expy: Her eye concealing helmet and uncompromising view of the laws she's charged with upholding, make her resemble a much sexier Judge Dredd.

     Morgan

The elderly leader of the Lighthouse. A cultured, steadfast, man who holds great insights into people and the old world.
  • Parents as People: Put his duties as Lighthouse Master above being a parent to Charles, which he regrets.
  • Secret-Keeper: Knows things about the functions of the Lighthouse he dares not share with anyone save his successor.
  • The Chains of Commanding: As the leader of what is believed to be the last of mankind, he's had to make many difficult decisions to keep them alive and functional as a society.

     Victor

The long time chief of the Lighthouses security and defence, making him one of its most vital senior officials. Years ago he reluctently oversaw the execution of Marc's surrogate sister, Hong Kou, in spite of his sympathy for her.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Has a mechanical prosthetic where his right arm once was.
  • Da Chief: He's the head of security for the Lighthouse and is also the one charged with its protection, effectively making him both the chief of police and the top military general, and has been so for decades.
  • Just Following Orders: Is often compelled by his duty to Humanity to do things he may not personally agree with, such as overseeing the execution of Hong Kou and her lover.

     Elon

The respected instuctor of Hunters and the man who taught Marc all he knows.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Is not above using misdirection to gain an advantage during a fight.
  • Manly Facial Hair: He's the only one who can take Marc in a fist fight. Probably has something to do with the fact that he has a full beard, which adds extra manliness that Marc's Perma-Stubble can't match.

     Sharif

A massive man and one of Charles top enforcers, he embodies the edicts of the Lord of Light and Shadow, at Charles command.
  • Co-Dragons: With Fan Di, in being subordinate to Charles, and he's often seen in her company.
  • The Brute: He is the most physically imposing and intimidating man on the Lighthouse, and doesn't blink at committing violence.
  • Meaningful Name: The name "Sharif" is of Arabic origin and means "Highborn", which is fitting for one who enforces a very classist Fantastic Caste System.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: He's nicknamed "the top dog" for a reason, as he's essentially the alpha of the Churches pack of attack dogs.
