Miraculous World

The world of Miraculous Ladybug, a world where mythical creatures called Kwamis exist, and where Marinette Dupain-Cheng / Ladybug come from.

Heroes

The Duo

    open/close all folders
    In General
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Not only do they have to deal with the fact that Ladybug isn't around currently, but also having to take up the mantle as Paris' guardians.
  • Adaptational Relationship Overhaul: In the canon series, while initially getting along, Chat Noir eventually began to feel resentment and jealousy towards Rena Rogue as Ladybug began depending more on her and not him, which wasn't helped by her keeping secrets from him. In here, because Ladybug is out of commission and they don't need to keep secrets from each other, the pair get along better.
  • The Chooser of the One: They both scout for potential temporary heroes when Father Time strikes. And in general, they also take up this mantle from Ladybug while she's stuck on the Infinity Train.
  • Closest Thing We Got: With Ladybug out of the picture, they're left to cover her original job: Chat Noir covers for dealing with the Akumas, while Rena Rogue covers the guardian aspect.
  • Platonic Boy/Girl Heroes: Chat Noir and Rena Rogue are a duo of heroes, one boy and one girl, but don't share any romantic feelings for each other as Chat Noir's heart belongs to Ladybug and Rena Rogue is Carapace's girlfriend.

    Chat Noir

Adrien Agreste / Chat Noir

The son of famous fashion designer Gabriel Agreste, and wielder of the Cat Miraculous. He's in charge of destroying the Akumas once their villains have been deakumatized.
  • Adaptational Angst Downgrade: While he has to deal with the fact that Ladybug isn't around right now, he doesn't suffer the same bout of uselessness felt due to Ladybug depending more on Rena Rogue than him, as he and Rena are equal partners while Ladybug's on her train trip.
  • Adaptational Badass: Downplayed, since he's still the same goofball as always, but Ladybug being out of the picture gives him a lot more importance, especially since his Cataclysm is the only other thing the heroes can use to deal with the Akumas.
  • Ask a Stupid Question...: When he and Rena Rogue are pondering where else they could keep the Miraculous Box, he ponders if they could just rent a locker.
  • Boring, but Practical: How does he take out Akumas? By grabbing and using Cataclysm on them. Nowhere near as fancy as Ladybug's de-evilization, but it does the job.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: He's a primarily black superhero with the power to destroy things, but he's a legitimate nice guy and also the best bet the miraculous team has to take care of the Akumas with Ladybug unavailable.
  • Destructive Savior: Same deal as in canon, which is one of the reasons why Rena Rogue tells him to shelve using Unification for now.
  • Entertainingly Wrong: Since Ladybug and Rena Rogue are so close, he actually thought they were something more than friends. An amused Rena is quick to clarify things, however, allowing the cat to believe he still has a chance with Ladybug.
  • Godzilla Threshold: With Ladybug being currently confined on the Infinity Train, his Cataclysm is the only superpower the miraculous team has to take down the Akumas.
  • Innocently Insensitive: He disses Alya's ability to name superheroes... While Rena Rogue, who's Alya in disguise, is right next to him.
  • It's Up to You: With Ladybug no longer around to deal with the Akumas, Chat Noir is the only one left to take care of them as his Cataclysm is the only Superpower that can destroy them.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: He doesn't even wait a minute before using Cataclysm against Retry, who dodges and has Rena Rewind as the recipient before she uses Second Chance.
  • Save This Person, Save the World: With Ladybug out of the picture, his Cataclysm is the only way the heroes can destroy the Akumas once they're released. Meaning if he gets taken out, it's game over.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: While he doesn't know every identity, he does know a few of them who don't know he knows. And just like Rena, he knows the identity of Honeycombo.
  • Smarter Than You Look: He's a goofball who never takes the current situation seriously, but he deduces Honeycombo's true identity in mere seconds.

    Rena Rogue

Alya Cesaire / Rena Rogue / Rena Rewind

A parisan teenager and Ladybug's best friend who, with the help of Trixx, becomes the superheroine Rena Rogue. She's in charge of watching over the Miraculous Box.
  • Action Girl: A fox-themed superheroine and one of Paris' main defenders.
  • Alliterative Name: As both Rena Rogue and Rena Rewind.
  • Big "NO!": Shouts this when she sees Ladybug being hit by Apex Conductor's attack.
  • The Chooser of the One: As Ladybug's successor as guardian of the Miraculous Box, it's now her duty to hand out Miraculous when more superheroes are needed.
  • Fusion Dance: Since Viperion is put out of commission by Retry, she unifies the Fox and Snake Miraculous to become Rena Rewind.
  • The Guardian: Takes this role from Marinette while she's stuck on the Infinity Train.
  • Mistaken for Gay: Cat Noir admits he was starting to think that Rena was Ladybug's girlfriend before she clarifies that she's her best friend.
  • No-One Could Have Survived That: She receives a Cataclysm to the ribs, but manages to use Second Chance to revert things back to normal before it can hurt her.
  • Rage Breaking Point: She's so frustrated that she can't get a hit on Retry even after using Second Chance multiple times that she snaps and rants about it for a bit. Chat Noir, who has dealt with similar frustration, is rather nonchalant about it.
  • Save Scumming: Is reduced to this as Rena Rewind when she and Chat Noir keep failing at defeating Retry, though she doesn't repeat as bad as Adrien did as Aspik.
  • Secret Secret-Keeper: She's been told the identities of all the temporary Miraculous Holders by Marinette, even the ones that would have no reason to know her identity. To others she is a Secret-Keeper.
  • Time Master: As Rena Rewind.
  • You Are in Command Now: With Ladybug out of the picture, she's given the task to pick up the slack, not only helping Chat Noir keep Paris safe, but also watch over the Miraculous Box while she's gone.

Other Heroes

    Viperion

Luka Couffaine / Viperion

A parisian teenager who, with the help of Sass, becomes the superhero Viperion.
  • The Cameo: He's only briefly seen during Retry's attack, having been hit by the villain offscreen.
  • Time Master: Has the ability to use Second Chance, at least when he's Viperion.
  • Worf Had the Flu: He's taken out of commission by Retry before Rena Rogue can hand the Snake Miraculous to him.

    Bunnyx

Future Alix Kubdel / Bunnyx

The future version of Alix Kubdel, who's the wielder of the Bunny Miraculous.
  • Future Badass: She's Alix in the far future once the Rabbit Miraculous has awakened.
  • The Ghost: Is only mentioned so far.

Temporary Heroes

    Honeycombo

Sabrina Raincomprix / Honeycombo

Chloe's best friend, who's figuring out what to do now that Chloe's gone.
  • Adaptational Early Appearance: Sabrina gets to become a Miraculous User in early Season 4, whereas she doesn't become one officially — with the Dog Miraculous — until "Penalteam" (Episode 22).
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: While still a Miraculous Wielder, she doesn't wield her canonical Miraculous, the Dog, but instead she wields the Bee.
  • Chekhov's Gunman: She's one of the civilians saved by Chat Noir and Rena Rewind when Retry attacks, and she becomes a temporary hero the very next chapter.
  • Classical Anti-Hero: She doesn't have a lot of confidence in herself, and is initially reluctant to return the Bee Miraculous because she doesn't think she's anything without it. Some encouraging words from Rena Rogue and Pollen, however, convince her otherwise.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Before the Apex Conductor debacle, she always followed Chloe everywhere. Now that her former best friend is gone, she has no idea what to do with her life.
  • Legacy Character: Discussed and Averted. When she transforms for the first time, she questions if she's gonna have to adopt the "Queen Bee" name. Chat Noir is quick to clarify that heroes get to pick their own names, and so, she chooses "Honeycombo" instead.
  • Not Used to Freedom: She used to hang around Chloe all the time, but with her currently stuck on the Infinity Train, Sabrina has no idea what she's supposed to do now.
  • Superior Successor: Compared to Queen Bee, who was more interested in fame than getting the job done, Honeycombo is a lot more straightforward and on the ball.
  • Sucksessor: In comparison to Vesperia, though it's Downplayed. While not incompetent or egotistical, Honeycombo lacks a lot of the confidence and quick thinking that makes Vesperia such an effective hero.

    Special Weekend

Alix Kubdel / Special Weekend

A rollerskater who's fated to become the Bunny Miraculous wielder, but fate decided to give her a test run.
  • Adaptational Badass: While she has a Miraculous in canon, it's currently inactive, while here she gets to use the very active Horse Miraculous to fight Father Time.
  • Heroic RRoD: She's not incapacitated or anything, but she tells Chat Noir she's got a dizzy spell after detransforming and handing back the Horse Miraculous.
  • Leeroy Jenkins: She's quick to get into a fight, and her first thought when she sees Father Time is to have Chat Noir use Cataclysm on it.
  • Rollerblade Good: Wouldn't be Alix without it; her costume as Special Weekend includes skates.
  • Thinking Up Portals: Can use Voyage as Special Weekend.
  • Second Super-Identity: Before she gets to become Bunnyx, she's given the Horse Miraculous as a test run.

Kwamis

    Trixx

Trixx

The Kwami of Illusion and Alya's/Rena Rogue's partner.

    Sass

Sass

The Kwami of intuition and Luka's/Viperion's partner.

    Wayzz
The Kwami of Protection, the former partner of Wang Fu, and current partner of Nino/Carapace.
  • Got Volunteered: He's pushed forward by the other Kwami when Rena Rogue asks for a volunteer to test the yo-yo's portal.

Villains

    Shadow Moth

Gabriel Agreste / Hawk Moth / Shadow Moth

A Supervillain who wields both the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous, and uses their powers for evil. His civilian identity is Gabriel Agreste, a famous fashion designer
  • 10-Minute Retirement: He takes a brief hiatus from the moment he made Locomonster until creating Retry, giving the Miraculous Team about a week and so to relax while he figures out what to do next.
  • Berserk Button: Don't jeopardize his ultimate goal to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous. Apex Conductor sending the former to the Train had him send Locomonster after him.
  • Complexity Addiction: His initial plan to undo Apex Conductor's mistake is to get the Horse Miraculous, create a sentimonster of Nathalie, Akumatize her into Catalyst, then use Catalyst's Super-Empowering to make the Horse Miraculous strong enough to go beyond the main universe. Eventually, however, he decides to settle for getting the Rabbit Miraculous.
  • Death Glare: Uses one of these to shut up Nooroo when they try to convince him not to look for the Rabbit Miraculous.
  • Didn't Think This Through: Like most Akumatized Villains, he lets Apex Conductor run wild once he gives him his powers. Unfortunately, things go horribly wrong and the Ladybug Miraculous gets sent to another dimension as a result.
  • Evil Plan: After Apex Conductor's blunder, he gets a new plan to get the Bunny Miraculous and use its superpower to stop the supervillain from sending Ladybug onto the Infinity Train.
  • Fusion Dance: His primary form as Shadow Moth is this, being the result of unifying the Butterfly and Peacock Miraculous.
  • Gone Horribly Wrong: He created Apex Conductor to get the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous like most Akumatized Villains, but instead he outright sends the Ladybug Miraculous to the Infinity Train alongside many other people, taking away one of the two Miraculous needed for Shadow Moth's endgame.
  • Moth Menace: Shadow Moth is the biggest threat the Miraculous Team have to deal with.
  • My Greatest Failure: He comes to see Apex Conductor as this, given his rampage got Ladybug, and by proxy her earrings, to another dimension.
  • Set Right What Once Went Wrong: Once he realizes he can use the Rabbit Miraculous' superpower to undo Ladybug being hit by Apex Conductor's ray, he decides to make that a priority. He insists on doing it even after Nooroo and Duusu both warn him against it.

    Nathalie

Nathalie Sancoeur

Shadow Moth's secretary.

    Apex Conductor

Apex Conductor

The Akumatized form of Drogo Denver, who's responsible for the events of Akuma Numerology. His Akuma is in his train whistle.
  • Achievements in Ignorance: He only wanted to send dozens of people to the Train as revenge for being forgotten, but his rampage leads to Ladybug herself being snatched, derailing Shadow Moth's plans.
  • Can't Kill You, Still Need You: Averted. Despite having the same goal to get Ladybug's earrings alongside Chat Noir's ring, he targets and sends Ladybug onto the Infinity Train like everybody else.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: One of the victims of his rampage is none other than Ladybug herself.
  • Hero Killer: He doesn't kill her, but he gets Ladybug to be snatched by the train, as well as several other members of team Miraculous.
  • One-Hit Kill: Anybody who gets hit by his rays will be immediately snatched by the Train. Even a transformed Miraculous wielder can't defend against it.
  • The Power of Hate: The sheer hatred he holds for everybody, that carries over from Drogo Denver, empowers him into one of the strongest Akumatized Villains that Team Miraculous have ever faced.
  • Required Secondary Powers: His power is pretty crazy, but it wouldn't be nearly as effective if it didn't have a passive Mind Rape element to make people more susceptible to being snatched by the Train.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: What his entire schtik boils down to, letting Drogo Denver take revenge on everyone for forgetting him.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: He doesn't get much screentime, but him sending several innocent people into the Infinity Train, Marinette included, leads to the events of Akuma Numerology.

    Locomonster

Locomonster

A train-themed Sentimonster created by Shadow Moth to make Drogo Denver pay for sending Ladybug to the Train.

    Retry

Retry

A retry-themed supervillain with the power to put people on a loop.
  • Evil Counterpart: Being a time-themed villain who can force people to repeat things as much as he wants, he's pretty much an evil Viperion.
  • Evil Versus Evil: A few of the timelines has Shadow Moth order him to go hunt down Drogo Denver. Not that he ever gets to make good on his promise.
  • The Perfectionist: Implied; when yelling at Chat Noir about his power, he states that if people won't do things perfectly, then they'll just have to repeat them until they do.
  • Slasher Smile: Flashes one of these when Chat Noir asks if he'll use his retry ability on him.
  • Time Loop Trap: His power traps people in these, placing them in one spot and repeating whatever they're doing until they do it right.
  • Time Master: His power is a variation; rather than manipulating time itself, anybody hit by his attack gets stuck in a Time Loop Trap where they're stuck repeating it as nauseum.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The reason he takes Viperion out of commission is because he protected a baby that was about to be struck by Retry's attack.

    Father Time
A Sentimonster that resembles a giant cluster of clocks.

Civilians

    Drogo Denver

Drogo Denver

A former Apex member who ended up back in the Miraculous Earth and would become the villain Apex Conductor
  • Adaptational Jerkass: Infinitely much more jerkish and irritable in canon, no doubt due to The Apex.
  • Adaptational Villainy: He has never been Akumatized in canon. In here, not only is he Akumatized, he gets akumatized willingly.
  • Alliterative Name: Drogo Denver.
  • Ascended Extra: Just a nameless background character in Miraculous, but here, he gets some focus as the source of Apex Conductor.
  • Canon Character All Along: He at first seems to be an Original Character created for the story, but chapter 3 of Numerology reveals he's the unnamed redheaded background student from a previous school photo in "Reflekta".
  • The Corruptible: However bad he was before he got on the Train, being snatched by it and hanging around The Apex only turned him into a monster.
  • Fiery Redhead: Has red hair, and is as energetic as he's angry.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: He was taken out of the Train before the fateful day The Apex would be wiped out, meaning he has no idea the group he hung around with for so long is no longer in the picture.
  • Named by the Adaptation: He's nameless in canon, but is given the name "Drogo Denver" in this story.
  • Not Brainwashed: Like both Lila and Chloe, he willingly allowed himself to be akumatized in order to become a Supervillain.
  • Redheads Are Uncool: He's a redheaded guy who's not only eager to make everybody pay as Apex Conductor, but doesn't even apologize for sending several people onto the Train.
  • Revenge Before Reason: He's so outraged at being forgotten and the student body assuming he had just moved that he willingly gets akumatized just for a shot at getting payback.
  • Unfortunate Names: His name got him teased a lot, which helped lead to his eventual arrival on the Infinity Train.
  • Worth It: The list at the end of chapter 3 reveals he's currently in custody for what he did as Apex Conductor, and he's not sorry for it in the slightest.
  • The Unapologetic: He absolutely refuses to apologize for his actions as Apex Conductor, which doesn't help him get people's sympathy at all.

    Marc Anciel

Marc Anciel

A parisian teenager with a crush on Nathaniel Kutzberg who asked him out on a date, but got seemingly rejected, causing him to become Retry.

    Nathaniel Kutzberg
One of Marinette's classmates and the object of Marc's affection.
