    Napoleon Bonaparte

Voiced by: Nobunaga Shimazaki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/napoleon_thumb.png
"Tell me... can you do the unspeakable?"

One of the greatest and most controversial leaders in history, Napoleon has a natural aura that drives people to him. He strongly feels that all people are born equally and should be treated as such. Unlike the others, he has no idea why he ended up in the mansion.

  • Big Brother Instinct: He wants to protect Isaac and has said to the player that he sees him as a younger brother.
  • Chef of Iron: Arguably the best chef among the vampire residents and also an extremely good fighter on account of his past as a soldier.
  • The Charmer: The player is instantly captivated by him and the game's text box says that "men and women alike" have fallen to his charms (which some may take as Ambiguously Bi).
  • Friend to All Children: Teaches the local children sword fighting and defence with Isaac.
  • Heavy Sleeper: He sleeps in later than anyone else and kisses anyone who wakes him up.
  • Icy Blue Eyes
  • Raven Hair, Ivory Skin
  • Royal Rapier
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Sort of. He didn't mean to do it, but the first time the MC tries to wake him up, he says this before kissing her (it's his wake up habit.)

    Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Voiced by: Toshiyuki Toyonaga

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mozart_thumb.png
"And why, exactly, should I shake your hand?"

A prodigy who began composing from the age of five, Mozart lives and breathes music. He comes to the mansion in pursuit of composing his greatest piece yet. He is distant and abrasive, and yet there are glimmers of a sensitive heart beyond his iron mask.

    Leonardo da Vinci

Voiced by: Kenjiro Tsuda

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/leonard_thumb.png
"You're a unique one. You'd make a fascinating study- for my research."

Leonardo is a genius, regarded by historians and scholars as the quintessential “Renaissance Man”. He usually spends his days sating his curiosity by investigating anythings that catches his eye. A bit of a lone wolf, he appears to be hiding a deep secret...

  • Brainy Brunette: One of (if not the) smartest people in the whole mansion.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: If he was a bit more productive, he'd be able to accomplish a lot more.
  • Fake Relationship: Because he's always swamped by love letters and confessions, he pretends to be with the player just to get them to stop for a month. (Naturally leads to a Romantic Fake–Real Turn.)
  • Eccentric Mentor: The premise of his route is that he'll teach the player how to do a skill of her choosing in return for her pretending to be his girlfriend.
  • Jack of All Trades: The reason he chooses to mentor the player is because he knows almost every skill she could possibly want to learn about.
  • King Incognito: Leonardo's vampire type isn't listed in the game description for a reason. He's actually a pureblood, and has been Comte's friend for a while.
  • Poster-Gallery Bedroom: His room is messy and covered in all kinds of books and trinkets. Reflects his role as an inventor.
  • "Shut Up" Kiss: Does it to calm the MC down in the first chapter of his route.
  • Smoking Is Cool: He regularly smokes cigars.

    Arthur Conan Doyle

Voiced by: Ryōhei Kimura

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/arthur_thumb.png
"A good woman is like a good mystery. They're both so much fun to... expose."

A British writer known for his series of detective fiction starring the titular Sherlock Holmes. Arthur has a quick wit, but his flippant attitude keeps him from forming deep relationships. A playboy by nature, he's instantly attracted to you. His reasons for coming to the mansion seem to be attached to his own writing.

  • Adjusting Your Glasses: One of his C Gs is him doing this before playing a card game.
  • All Men Are Perverts: He literally jumps on the player at the first opportunity, and tells her to be careful afterwards as "there are men who will find [her] innocence rather attractive."
  • Big Ego, Hidden Depths: He acts arrogant, but deep down he's tormented over who he is and why he writes.
  • The Casanova: He frequently goes out to sleep with women on a one-night affair. It's implied, however, that he does go back just to service himself again, as they react kindly to him when they see him in public and ask him when he'll bed them again.
  • Does Not Like Spam: Hates tea. Jean swapped his coffee for tea once in revenge for Arthur trying to take off his eyepatch, and Arthur coughed the whole day.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir": Though he has the title on account of his knighthood, he tells the player to lay it off and just call him Arthur.
  • Mutually Unequal Relation: Claims that he isn't friends with Dazai and dislikes him. The feeling isn't mutual, though.
  • Quintessential British Gentlemen: Has some classic stereotypical British slang and phrases thrown into his dialogue, such as calling the player 'love' and saying 'up the wooden hill to bedfordshire'.
  • Sherlock Homage: Ironic as he hates his own creation, but he's a brilliant detective. In his route, him and the player team up to go and solve minor mysteries across Paris, with the player acting as the Watson to his Sherlock. Hell, "deduce" is one of the first words he even says.
  • The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: He's a doctor, but is only ever seen writing or doing detective work.
  • The Profiler: He does this to everyone new he meets (especially on his route), with the most obvious example being him profiling Napoleon and the MC during the prologue, where he correctly deduces that Napoleon is trying to help her leave the mansion.
  • What the Hell Is That Accent??: In real life, Conan Doyle was Scottish, but most of the slang he says in the game's dialogue is distinctly English.

    Vincent van Gogh

Voiced by: Yoshihiko Aramaki

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vincent_thumb.png
"No matter what I paint, nothing compares to your beauty."

This famous and influential Dutch painter has a presence as calming as the sunflowers he is known for painting. Vincent's kind perosnality is in stark contrast to his brash and difficult brother, though at times he seems to be void of any emotion at all. But once he falls in love, that all changes...

  • Died in Your Arms Tonight: In the game, he bled out from a gunshot wound in his brother's arms, before being turned into a vampire by Le Comte.
  • Good Counterpart: Both him and Theo are nice people deep down, but most people see Vincent as the nicer alternative as he's far more polite on first impressions. Regardless of what route is chosen, the MC does comment on how much easier-going Vincent is than Theo.
  • Lethal Chef: He's not seen cooking very often, but when he does cook it usually results in everything tasting horrible at best or being completely on fire at worst.
  • Little Big Brother: Not necessarily shorter than Theo (only shorter by 1cm), but the player does pin him as the younger brother at first because Theo is so overly protective of him and is a lot larger of a presence.
  • Sibling Team: He paints things for Theo to sell.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Shakespeare.

    Theodorus van Gogh

Voiced by: Hisanori Sato

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/theodorus_thumb.png
"Come along. I'm putting you to work. Just so you know, you have no say in this."

Vincent's younger brother, an art dealer with a sharp tongue. When it comes to his ambition, he takes no prisoners. Though Theo respects Vincent more than anyone, he has a certain secret from his past that he has kept even from his dear brother...

  • Absurd Phobia: Hates cats. He runs away when he sees one and at one point, Shakespeare found out about that and chased him around a plaza with a cat in hand.
  • Big Brother Worship: Is overly protective of his brother and has devoted his life to making his brother's work as influential as he can.
  • My Greatest Failure: Theodorus is incredibly traumatised by gunshot sounds, and the sight of guns themselves, as he failed to save Vincent from being killed in a shooting by Paul Gaugin.
  • Foreign Cuss Word: Uses 'klootzak' a lot, which is asshole in Dutch.
  • Sibling Team: He sells what Vincent paints.
  • Successful Sibling Syndrome: He's only ever been knows as 'Vincent's Brother' and it's implied that it bothers him.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Pancakes drenched in syrup.

    Osamu Dazai

Voiced by: Taku Yashiro

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/osamu_dazai_thumb.png
"Why, to write is to live. I must write about our encounter."

A famous author with a breezy personality and a pension for dragging others into his odd delusions with disarming charm. Dazai's playfulness hasn't endeared him to some in the mansion, but he doesn't let it bother him at all. For some reason, he never talks about his past.

  • Mutually Unequal Relation: Says that he's good friends with Arthur. Arty, however, will say otherwise.
  • Mysterious Past: Avoids his past as best as he can and nobody knows the real reason that he chose to let Comte make him a vampire.
  • The Gimmick: Only ever enters the mansion through the windows, and has only ever used the front door 4 times.
  • The Nicknamer: Calls Isaac 'Ai-chan' and the player 'Toshiko-san'.

    Isaac Newton

Voiced by: Shouta Aoi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/isaac_thumb.png
"I prefer things that I can understand. You're an enigma."

This brilliant physicist deeply resents being associated with apples. A little awkward, and ever the contrarian, Isaac initially keeps his distance from you. He follows a unique set of rules when it comes to "meals" and becomes a different person when he shows his fangs.

  • Does This Remind You of Anything??: His 'Non Est Factum' illustration, which has him pinning the player against a wall.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: He tries several time in his route to tell the MC that he loves her, but always freezes right before he's about to say it.
  • Friend to All Children: Teaches the local children physics and maths with Napoleon.
  • Intelligence Equals Isolation: He came to the mansion in order to have a quiet place to study alone.
  • In-Series Nickname: 'Newt' from Arthur and 'Ai-chan' from Dazai.
  • Once Done, Never Forgotten: The 'apple falling from the tree' event that likely inspired his research into gravity always seems to follow him around and he's often teased about it by Arthur and Dazai. However, the game's loading screen text box reveals that he's secretly mad when nobody mentions it.
  • The Bet: Constantly playing games with Arthur so that he'll stop using the 'Newt' nickname, but loses every time.
  • Significant Birth Date: His birthday is Christmas Day.
  • Wolf in Sheep's Clothing: Quite literally how the game describes him. When he's overcome with hunger, he loses his shy exterior and bites the nearest human he can find.

    Jean d'Arc

Voiced by: Toshiyuki Someya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jeanne_thumb.png
"Don't touch me. I'm impure."

A soldier who served in the Hundred Years' War. Jean's listless eyes and stoic expression are at odds with his ethereal beauty. Although he appears to be emotionless, he carries a single, heartbreaking wish deep in his heart.

  • Ambiguously Christian: The real Jeanne D'Arc was a christian, and a lot of Jean's dialouge has religious undertones, but it's not explicitly said if he's still religious.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl
  • Eyepatch of Power
  • Frozen Face: His expression hardly ever changes, unlike all of the other characters.
  • Jeanne d'Archétype: Literal. He's meant to be the real Jeanne, but his gender has been changed so he's now Jean.
  • Never Learned to Read: Jean can't write, but he can read a little (he likes children's picture books.) The MC decides to teach him how to write on his route.

    William Shakespeare

Voiced by: Daisuke Hirakawa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shakespeare_thumb.png
"O, what upturned expectations have come at the arrival of this new player?"

Shakespeare is regarded as the world's greatest dramatist with good reason; he is extremely skilled at the observation and analysis of the human heart. He is a gentleman who never fails to treat you with the utmost respect. However, there's a reason he lives separately from everyone else, and it's rooted in his duplicitous nature...

  • Evil Redhead: Often plays the role of the villain in the routes seen so far.
  • Hated by All: The mansion residents view him as sketchy at best and irredeemable at worst, except Vincent, who seems to genuinely enjoy the playwright’s company.
  • Heterosexual Life-Partners: With Vincent.
  • It Amused Me: He really enjoys messing with the mansion residents just to simply observe what actions they'll take in certain situations.
*The Man Behind the Man: Often the one behind the villain of each character's route (with said villain usually being an old rival from the love interest's past). Sometimes he even gets Vincent unwittingly involved.
  • Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Only speaks in the language used in his plays, despite being in the 1800's when this language would clearly be out of style.

    Comte de Saint-Germain

Voiced by: Kazuma Horie

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/comte_thumb.png
"Let us toast to tonight's most glorious and miraculous encounter. Santé."

A greater (pure-blood) vampire shrouded in mystery. He is responsible for offering the inhabitants of the mansion "a taste of eternity" and granting them their second lives as vampires. Saint-Germain has graceful poise and an elegant smile, but there's the faintest hint of sadness somewhere in his eyes.

  • Arch-Enemy: With Vlad.
  • Badass Longcoat: He's always seen wearing a golden long coat, over a matching golden blazer.
  • Collector of the Strange: He turns people of historical significance that he finds interesting into vampires so that they can all live in his mansion. It's not clear how many people he's done this with, but there have definitely been more residents than those currently in the mansion.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": He’s only ever referred to by his title, as none of the residents know his real name. It's Abel.

    Sebastian

Voiced by: Shuta Morishima

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sebastian_thumb.png
"I will oversee you during your time here. I must warn you that I'm very strict."

Sebastian is a skilled butler who oversees all of the residents of the mansion. He's generally a very calm person, but hides a...slightly fanatical streak when it comes to the topic of history. In his room, he may or may not have a special notebook full of detailed notes about the mansion's residents, but don't let him know you saw them.

  • Expy: Implied to be one for Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler, with the game pointing out how ironic it is that he's a butler called "Sebastian."
  • I'm Your Biggest Fan: Though he doesn't actually say this to Napoleon's face, he's obsessed with the emperor and has loved him since he was a kid.
  • Martial Pacifist: Knows martial arts, but never uses his skills.
  • Token Human: Until the player arrives, he's the only human that lives in the mansion.

    Vlad

Voiced by: Soma Saito

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/vlad_82.png
"I love this world...to the point of madness."

A man shrouded in the most ethereal beauty, he is actually a pure blooded vampire. Once good friends with le Comte de Saint-Germain, they went their separate ways hundreds of years ago. It seems that certain grand ambitions of Vlad's may have something to do with their parting.

  • Arch-Enemy: With Le Comte.
  • Dracula: Based on Vlad the Impaler, and therefore Dracula by extension.

    Johann Georg Faust

Voiced by: Shinichirou Kamio

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/johann_georg_faust_4.png
