The First Turned

The first vampire made by Count Dracula.

  • The Creon: He tells May that he wants her to be in charge while Dracula is out of commission because he's naturally more of a right hand man. And also because he doesn't want to have to move his stuff.
  • It's All About Me: Prone to this, particularly when it comes to Dracula's attention. When Dracula gives him a compliment, he demands everyone else not talk about anything else because he wants to focus on the compliment.
  • Looks Like Orlok: He's clearly inspired by the portrayal of vampires in Nosferatu.
  • Manchild: He's a Time Abyss, but he still pretends he's a little boy, and generally acts like a lazy teen at best.
  • Really 700 Years Old: Not even he's sure how old he is, as he claims to have been a child in around year 2 (no mention of which calendar), though he admits it may have been sooner than that. He remembers when fire was invented, which (if true) makes him between three and four hundred thousand years old.
  • Stealing the Credit: The only one-line poem he's ever finished ("Dracula is spectacula") was a rhyme Drago said while brainstorming, which he completely appropriates in front of the Count.
  • Time Abyss: As the first spawn of Dracula, he's far older than everyone in the party combined, and if he's to be believed, he was around when fire was invented and when the Earth's continents still formed the Pangeanote
  • Would Hurt a Child: Keeps saying he'll eat Florina, only mostly jokingly.

    May Wong

The Hollywood Starlet

An American actress who met the Count after a performance and fell in love with him.

  • Accent Slip-Up: When Dracula mentions being pleasantly surprised by hot dogs, she temporarily lapses into a New York accent, which she might've picked up when she lived there.
May: That New York street meat, that's gonna get ya.
  • Adoptive Peer Parent: Her "son", Squing, is at least several centuries older than her.
  • Asian Airhead: She's got the lowest wisdom score of the party at 10.
  • Casting a Shadow: One of her spells as a shadow sorcerer is Darkness, which covers a radius around her in shadows.
  • Shout-Out: Her name is an allusion to Anna May Wong.
  • Unholy Matrimony: They're both bloodsucking monsters, but she's deeply in love with Dracula, and he seems to return her affection. By the last episode, they've broken up, as Dracula married her out of platonic affection and a desire to give her more opportunities as an actress, but they still care for each other.

    Dr. Aleksandr Astrovsky

Dr. Aleksandr "Sasha" Astrovsky

Played by: Isabella Roland

Race: Human
Class: Artificer (Alchemist)

The Mad Scientist

A scientist from The Old Country, studying magic in relation to his tinkering.

  • Jewish and Nerdy: He's a mad scientist alright, and his player calls his Einstein Hair a "Jewfro", indicating he is Jewish.
    • He also drops Yiddish words like "shtetl" and "beshert" casually in conversation. And, ya know, calls himself a Jew at least once.
  • Large Ham: Comes with the whole Mad Scientist schtick.
  • Mad Scientist: He wants to study under Dracula to harness the power of magic through science, and he's generally fascinated by stuff that should horrify anyone else.
  • No Indoor Voice: He's always shouting dramatically, even when saying normal stuff, which is incredibly rare but still.
  • Science vs. Magic: Discussed. His entire worldview was shattered after the Count showed him that magic is real, and he can't wait to see what else is out there.
  • Single Sex Offspring: He has fifteen sons in The Old Country.
  • The Old Country: Makes frequent references to his old life, before he was chased out of his homeland. He very heavily implies he was chased out because he's a Jew (and also a little because of his science).

    Wetzel

Wetzel

Played by: Carlos Luna

Race: Human
Class: Rogue (Mastermind)

The Flayed Man

One of Dracula's enforcers, who hopes to one day be turned into a vampire.

  • Affectionate Nickname: Dracula calls him "my little flaything"
  • An Arm and a Leg: Has one metal arm.
  • Body Horror: Something happened to him that tore him to shreds, and the skin on his face is described as barely attached and "flapping around in the wind".
  • Odd Friendship: He's high-energy, confident, and upbeat, but he's quite chummy with Drago, who's The Eeyore.
  • The Pollyanna: Unfailingly positive, no matter what.
  • Stepford Smiler: He's always outwardly cheery, but one of his affirmations is all about how "they" will pay one day.
  • Vampire Vannabe: Has endured a lot in his life in the hopes one day Dracula will reward him by transforming him into a vampire.

  • Faux Affably Evil: Dracula is incredibly theatrical and charming, but it becomes clear later in the season that he is incredibly two-faced, and often complains about his closest confidants behind their backs. He is also unbelievably cruel, being implied to frequently torture Wetzel for fun.
  • Plot-Triggering Death: In the opening episode, Dracula is attacked by the AVVC and is left with half is skull shattered and a gaping wound in his chest. Trying to save his life is the main goal of The Fang Gang.

  • The Eeyore: Is constantly confused and depressed. He is hideous to look upon, Wetzel is his only friend, his wife is dead, and he lives in constant fear of the monsters that inhabit Dracula's castle.
  • Relationship Upgrade: With Wetzel. They have always been close friends due to both being "fellow disgusting human beings" and only grow closer over their adventure. In the end, they decide to travel to Cairo to better find themselves rather than return to Dracula's castle.
