    Bidu
The mod's protagonist, who worked at a club until he was betrayed by his boss Kevin.
  • Adaptational Backstory Change: The original Boyfriend was just a guy who wanted to hang out with his girlfriend, only for her father to disapprove of their relationship. Here, Bidu's boss lied about him to the father of Bidu's girlfriend, resulting in the events of Week 1.
  • Adaptational Dye-Job: Somewhat downplayed. In FNF, Boyfriend has blue hair. Here, Bidu's hair is still blue, but his fringe has a pink highlight.
  • Battle Trophy: Takes Grape Sago's microphone for himself after their rap battle and uses it during Week 2.
  • Language Barrier: invoked Word of God states that Bidu doesn't know how to speak beep-boop language, which is a little strange considering he uses Boyfriend's beeps in-game.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Is exclusively referred to by the name Barbara gave him, with his actual name unrevealed.

    Barbara
Bidu's girlfriend, always there to support him. Her parents try to drive a wedge between the two because they believe he's a bad influence.

    Kevin
A demon who owns a club and formerly Bidu's boss. He spread rumors about Bidu being a drug addict so people would fight Bidu in his club and bring more customers as a result. He is Bidu's opponent for the tutorial.
  • Adaptational Job Change: The original FNF's Henchmen were backup dancers, while Kevin owns a club.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: In the original FNF, Boyfriend didn't see the Henchmen, let alone interact with them, until Week 4. Here, Kevin was Bidu's boss and kicked off the events of the game by gossiping about Bidu to Grape Sago.
  • Adaptational Villainy: The Henchmen from the original FNF were merely background elements in Week 4, and didn't do anything to Boyfriend himself. Here, Kevin spread rumours about Bidu being a drug addict.
  • Affably Evil: Despite spreading rumours about Bidu being a drug addict, he seems at least open enough to teach him how to rap.
  • Amazing Technicolour Population: His skin is pink, like that of the original game's Henchmen.
  • Ascended Extra: In the original FNF, Mommy Mearest's Henchmen were mere backup dancers. Here, he teaches Bidu how to rap in the tutorial and is the one who gossiped about him to Grape Sago, starting the events of Week 1.
  • Mean Boss: Bidu worked for Kevin at the club he owned, until Kevin decided to tell everyone Bidu was a drug addict and told Barbara's father that Bidu was interested in his daughter.
  • Named by the Adaptation: None of the original game's Henchmen had names. One of them, at least, is named Kevin.
  • Suddenly Voiced: The original FNF's Henchmen had no voice, owing to them being background characters. Here, Kevin is voiced by Tyefling, who also helped with the music and voiced the countdown at the start of each song.

    Sagu
Barbara's father, who takes the news about her dating Bidu (and his alleged drug addiction) very poorly. He's the antagonist of Week 1.
  • Adaptational Dye-Job: In FNF, Daddy Dearest had black hair. Here, Grape Sago has cream-coloured hair.
  • Amazing Technicolour Population: His skin is purple. Justified as he is both a demon and based on the original FNF's Daddy Dearest.
  • Boyfriend-Blocking Dad: Dislikes Barbara dating Bidu, and believed Kevin's lies about him being a drug addict.
  • Hollywood Hacking: Is a computer hacker, and uses his skills to create Rotten Lemon.
  • Named by the Adaptation: Just referred to as Daddy Dearest in FNF; here, his name is "Grape Sago".
  • One-Way Visor: Rocks a visor with an orange frame, covering his eyes. During "Rap King", the frame gains a flame pattern to show his aggravation at Bidu beating him.
  • Turns Red: In "Rap King", his visor angles slightly downwards, and his previously one-colored visor now has a flame-like pattern; in additions, his poses go from reserved to expressive. "Rap King" itself is much more intense compared to Grape Sago's previous songs, even having a short introduction before the song begins in earnest.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After being bested by Bidu three times in a row, the end of "Rap King" has Grape Sago's face twist with rage as he throws down his microphone so hard it breaks the floorboard.

    Pumpkin and Death
A little scarecrow and a grim reaper who face off against Bidu in an attic. Pumpkin used to be a country boy who was approached by Death when the former's number was up, but somehow the two became friends. They are the opponents for Week 2.
  • Adaptational Species Change: In both Spooky Month and FNF, Pump and Skid were human kids wearing costumes. Here, Pumpkin appears to be a living scarecrow while Death, true to his name, seems to be death incarnate.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Both are jolly and upbeat during the third song, "Virus", in spite of the utterly terrifying Rotten Lemon looming behind them. This is also in comparison to Death's much more sour attitude in the previous two songs.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Death is dressed like a Grim Reaper, complete with a skull, hooded robe and scythe.
  • Eyes Do Not Belong There: In some animations, you can see glowing eyes peering out of Death's mouth, and his win icon shows an entire face under his skull. Oddly, these eyes disappear once he turns cheerful.
  • Floating Limbs: Death's hands are detached from his body and float at his sides.
  • Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: Pumpkin cheerfully sings along with Bidu and in general seems to be a friendly person, while Death is more annoyed at Pumpkin's antics and actively threatens Bidu. This is subverted during the second half of "NightFall", where Death brightens in mood and becomes just as happy as Pumpkin.
  • Nightmare Face: Pumpkin and Death's win icon for "Bittersweet" and "NightFall" has Death's face lift up to reveal a second face underneath, with large eyes and a toothy smile grinning maniacally.
  • Sweet Tooth: Pumpkin holds a lollipop, Death's robe is decorated with sweets and a peppermint candy is attached to the blade of his scythe. Their week's background is also littered with various foods, including sweets.
  • Took a Level in Cheerfulness: Death glares at Bidu throughout "Bitter Sweet" and the first half of "NightFall", with his animations depicting him either unamused or shouting at Bidu: during the later half of "NightFall" and continuing into "Virus", Death has a change in disposition and becomes much more friendly, now happily singing with Bidu and being more in sync with Pumpkin.
  • Throat-Slitting Gesture: In their "Yeah!" animation, Death will bring his finger to his throat and pull it across his neck, complete with a pink line trailing behind it.

    Rotten Lemon (spoilers unmarked)
A living computer virus who crashes the party during the final song of Week 2, serving as the "metronome" in place of Barbara and spicing up the song with virus notes.
  • Adaptational Abomination: The original Monster was a perception manipulating Humanoid Abomination about Daddy Dearest's size that sang about wanting to eat our main characters. Here? Rotten Lemon is a massive, spider-esque living computer virus with a giant claw who towers over the other characters, says not a word, covered the week's location in a green goo, and laid trap arrows to hurt Bidu.
  • Ambiguously Evil: Replaces Barbara's spot on the speakers in "Virus", covers the place in a strange, green goo, and seeds the chart with trap arrows that damage Bidu if he hits them, but seemingly doesn't attack either Bidu or Pumpkin and Death directly, and they show no fear nor resentment towards him. This is also in contrast with Death's initial openly hostile reaction towards Bidu.
  • Demoted to Extra: The original Monster was the opponent of Week 2's third song, also called "Monster", where he sang a song with full lyrics. Here, he's a background character with no voice, with Pumpkin and Death taking over the third song for him, sung in their usual beep-boop language.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Has a head that looks like... well, a rotten lemon.
  • Extra Eyes: Has several smaller eyes all over his head. They all blink separately.
  • For the Evulz: invoked Word of God says that Rotten Lemon is simply there to get in Bidu's way.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Grape Sago, the equivalent of Daddy Dearest in this mod, created Rotten Lemon using his Hollywood Hacking abilities.

    Dono
A highly-respected rapper who lives in a shanty town. Bidu and Barbara meet him for a rap battle in Week 3.

    Salsicha (spoilers unmarked)
The Arrow Funk universe's version of Shaggy. Appears in the Freeplay song Earthquake.
