A young girl who one day moves to a far away town known as Animal Village.
- Cheerful Child: She's a cheerful young girl who just moved to Animal Village.
- Children Are Innocent: She's a plucky young girl and innocent to the world around her, until Margie moves away.
- Expressive Hair: Shown a few times, Most notably when Yu releases a cockroach as a surprise.
- Girlish Pigtails: Always sports these throughout the film, fitting for a cheerful young girl. Even rising when Yu [mentioned below] gives her a cockroach as a "reward" for helping him catch a spider.
- Meaningful Name: "Ai" means "Love" in Japanese, and she's a loving young girl.
- Nice Girl: Practically nice to everyone she meets, though she does get annoyed with Yu [And Alfonso's] antics.
- Punny Name: Her name is pronounced identically to "I", as in "I, the player." Combined with Yu, this makes them "you and I"
- Rose-Haired Sweetie: She has pinkish-red hair and is a nice girl to everyone around her.
- Spiders Are Scary: She freaks out when a spider gets on her, said spider is then caught by Yu who proceeds to scare her with a cockroach, lovely.

A boy from a nearby village, He is usually seen in various different outfits most of the time.
- Bratty Half-Pint: Oh, deary me. He spends most of his time pranking the other villagers by digging holes in the road.
- Cosplay: He wears several unique outfits throughout the film. Such include a Ninja, a Pirate and a Rabbit.
- Punny Name: His name is pronounced identically to "you", as in "You, the player." Combined with Ai, this makes them "you and I".
