Beware Of Spoilers. All spoilers on this page are left unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

As expected from Studio TRIGGER, Promare is almost one long string of pure unadulterated awesome.

Galo: Side Story

  • Galo coming up with a plan on the fly to rescue the civilian still trapped inside the pharmaceutical building with nothing but his Matoi spear and a large batch of cooling gel. According to Lucia, the reason why Ignis let Galo go through with the plan was because it was the one with the highest likelihood of getting the civilian out safe. He may be a cocky rookie, but everyone can agree he's good at his job.

Lio: Side Story

  • Lio appearing almost out of nowhere as Meis and Guiera make a final stand against the Freeze Force. While other Burnish were easily taken out by them, when Lio gets frozen, he easily melts the ice away and continues to take down the Freeze Force using non-lethal attacks.

Movie

  • Galo in the beginning of the movie. He takes on and defeats the leader of the Mad Burnish and his two top generals in essentially a firefighting uniform. That said, the "uniform" is a large mecha suit, but otherwise has no special powers or purpose other than to stop fires.
  • The fight against said Mad Burnish is nothing to sneeze at either: Galo goes up against two of the three most powerful Burnish in existence (with the third one simply spectating) with nothing but an entry-level mech and his Matoi spear. After losing his spear and both of the mech's arms, a well-placed kick sends his spear into a slot on his back. Cue a Transformation Sequence in which his mech jettisons its armor, leaving only the bare frame, then the spear-head unfolds into a second suit of armor that goes over the frame, while the spear's now headless shaft becomes a quarterstaff, with the end result being a lanky Lightning Bruiser that subsequently curbstomps the two Mad Burnish in seconds.
Galo [Introducing his new mech]: The fire may be gone, but the heat still lingers. On The Scene Equipment Jockey: Matoi Tech!
    • And how does he invoke this transformation without getting interrupted? Before transforming, his spear unleashes a massive cloud of smoke (er... fire-fighting foam?), which then twists itself into a tornado that protects Galo until the sequence is complete.
  • Even though Galo looks like he's seeking glory for himself, when Lio has him disarmed, he confidently tells him that he's not fighting on his own and has a team to help him. Cue all of the Burning Rescue members coming in and working together to capture Lio.
  • If Vulcan is to be believed, the Burning Rescue team seems to be lower on the pyramid for fire fighting forces. However they arguably do an impressive job fighting Burnish fires on their own with their "outdated" equipment.
  • Lio, Meis and Gueira purposefully get captured in order to be sent to the prison where other Burnish are being held to save them. Lio is the only one able to easily destroy his cuffs, something Guera tried and immediately failed at. Lio also takes out an entire Freeze Force and a truck on his own.
  • Lio gets some several times in a row:
    • First, he is frozen inside a volcano thanks to a "absolute zero bullet", which refreezes him again and again whenever he uses his fire powers. Because he is inside a volcano, the heat adds to his prison. His first moment of awesome is when he uses his rage to overpower the freezing process and break free, leading to
    • His Roaring Rampage of Revenge, where he enters Super Mode and his entire body is engulfed in black armor surrounded by flames. Also, he creates a gigantic fire dragon, with himself at the head, to attack Promepolis and specifically Kray Foresight.
    • Basically, whenever "Kakusei" plays, you know he's going to do something pretty badass.
  • Lio De Galon vs Krazor X.
  • It's the Darkest Hour for the planet with the Promare rampaging in the Earth's core and Kray Foresight about to get away with Lio Fotia and his plan and slip into the wormhole with his chosen and damn the rest of the Earth to it's fate, but what does Galo do after almost being killed by Kray and hit with the startling truth about his idol's feelings for him? Immediately get back up and face him, and through pure will alone (and some help from Burning Rescue), Galo makes his way through the entire ship into the Prometech core, destroying it completely, grounding Kray's ship preventing him from escaping, and when Kray tries to retaliate against Galo by burning him to a crisp, Lio's flame that previously protected him shields him from the flame and he calmly strides towards the enraged and empowered Kray whom demolished him and Lio prior, giving him a Rousing Speech all the while about saving everyone, including him, before FLOORING him with a bare-fisted One-Hit KO before he tells Kray that he's going to show him how saving the world is done. Badass doesn't BEGIN to describe the whole moment.
  • Everything about the arrival of the planet sized Galo De Lion.
Lio: Now our flames will burn out the entire Earth!
Galo: Total incineration of the entire planet Earth!
Both: I'LL EXTINGUISH YOU WITH MY BURNING SOUL!
  • The Big Damn Kiss. The two male lead heroes in a shonen genre anime sharing a tender, life-giving kiss while one desperately begs the other not to disappear. It's not uncommon for people who have attended screenings to report that the entire cinema erupted into cheers and applause during the kiss.
