MLLSD Chapter 5: Five Star Service, Zero Star Food

After a title illustration that seemingly is a reference to The Beatles crossing Abbey Road, Orange Pekoe is presented with an Honest Axe scenario involving Darjeeling. Assam, playing as the fairy, asks her whether she dropped the golden Darjeeling or the silver one, and Orange Pekoe, dreaming about this, sleepily asks if she must choose.

A word about Darjeeling, Orange Pekoe and Assam, which I may have said before. Some people seem to think that Darjeeling and Orange Pekoe are sisters (and sometimes Assam as well), but Orange Pekoe seems to call Darjeeling and Assam "-sama" in here, which seems to be St. Gloriana's variation on "senpai", rather than using Japanese Sibling Terminology.

Back to the comic. Orange Pekoe tells Assam that Darjeeling was planning on taking them for a drive, and Assam asks if Darjeeling has her license yet. Darjeeling arrives on her horse, named Blue Mountain (which Orange Pekoe points out is named after a coffee), wearing a traditional horseback rider outfit. Orange Pekoe says that horseback riding is dangerous and asks if Darjeeling knows how. Darjeeling, taking umbrage, insists that she does, but Blue Mountain comes back, riderless. Darjeeling, hanging from a tree branch, admits her mistake but says that it's fun and offers to give the others a ride, which turns out to be in a carriage. They go for a drive, but Miho, from her Panzer IV, does a double take.

Darjeeling, apparently touched after reading a book about an all-girls school, suggests that Orange Pekoe call her "Onee-sama" if she wishes, much to Orange Pekoe's confusion. Orange Pekoe goes to Assam to find out the reason for this behavior, and when Assam tries to demonstrate it, she unwittingly draws Darjeeling's ire. The two third-years end up in a tug-of-war over Orange Pekoe, wondering if, once she says that it hurts, the one who lets her go first will win (forgetting that they're the ones who caused her pain in the first place), Orange Pekoe, however, with the strength that she needed for- or gained from- being a loader, flips both of them upward and smashes them into each other's faces.

Darjeeling apologizes for the incident, but Orange Pekoe tells her to Be Yourself, causing her to be overwhelmed with emotion.

Orange Pekoe is sensitive about her Big Ol' Eyebrows, but Darjeeling likes them, and considers getting a matching set, using potato chips as props, but Orange Pekoe says no.

The Honest Axe dream from the beginning is repeated, with switched roles. When faced with the choice, Darjeeling [[Take a Third Option whips out her credit card and eagerly buys both of them.

In the non-4koma part, Darjeeling sets up a maid cafe at her mansion, leaving Orange Pekoe and Assam speechless. As they, once seated, ponder why they were invited over, Darjeeling answers with a Schweitzer quote about happiness though service, and dashes off to serve her guests in spite of Orange Pekoe's insistence that there is no need for her to do so. Orange Pekoe and Darjeeling realize that this means Darjeeling will cook for them, and try to hope it won't be as bad as they expect.

It's perhaps worse than they thought. As Darjeeling splatters some omelet rice with ketchup, an angel Orange Pekoe emerges from Orange Pekoe's head, and as Darjeeling, having run out of space to write with ketchup, does so with mustard, a devil Darjeeling in attire that's surprisingly revealing for her, stabs Angel!Pekoe with a pitchfork.

As Orange Pekoe forces down the rice, Darjeeling turns to Assam, and apologizes for not making her favorite Roast beef. Assam frantically insists that she's not hungry, but gets a "light" portion of fish and chips that looks as though it's covered in oil. The two barely get through their meals, only to find that Darjeeling, quoting Montaigne, hopes that they will develop an appetite while eating and ask for seconds.

Anglerfish Team arrives at the mansion and, already cognizant of the situation, begin to despair. Darjeeling, completely oblivious to why they feel this way, prepares to bring them more tasty things, with more oil, but by this point, Orange Pekoe and Assam have had enough and step in, changing into maid outfits in the process, and preparing a quote about sharing.

Orange Pekoe serves Miho a cup of tea better than what she brews herself, and offers to teach her how to brew tea, with Saori interested in tea "jumping."

Assam serves scones as a change of pace from the oily food, and tells lame jokes that only Hana and Darjeeling find funny- but they find them hilarious.

Darjeeling tries to interfere by putting out more food of her own, but Orange Pekoe and Assam have already preempted her, and give her a smartphone to play with, thereby keeping her distracted.

As Anglerfish leaves, promising to have the St. Gloriana girls over for a tea party, Darjeeling gives them a parting gift, an eel jelly dish that is so vile that it gets pixellated out.

Re, loader strength, you might want to pothole it to Running Gag because they make that joke with every loader, from Yukari to Nina
