* BaseBreaker: Sophie. For some she's an annoying and pointless character who isn't funny, relies on the same bland humour with each appearance and her role as of late has been reduced to her showing up at random parts during the episode to spout off unfunny one liners. While others think that Sophie has her genuinely funny moments, and some fans admit the fact she's played by Jennifer Coolidge redeems her slightly.

* DudeNotFunny: The amount of Chris Brown and Rihanna jokes the girls make in later seasons, particularly when Caroline compares herself to Chris Brown for beating an oven, has been commented on how distasteful they are.

Added DiffLines:

* AlternativeCharacterInterpretation: In ''And the Loophole,'' Max makes a comment about having a baby when she didn't know she was pregnant. Was this BlackComedy joke, or something that really happened? Notable in that Caroline actually wonders if Max was serious (instead of brushing it off as another joke), and Max doesn't deny it.

* AuthorsSavingThrow: The fifth season seems to be addressing the DarknessInducedAudienceApathy issue (seen below) with the introduction of the Hollywood mini-arc, where Caroline successfully sells her life story and using the money to expand the business into a dessert bar.
