This is why Claire gets a warning when she tries to ReverseThePolarity of the system while helping fight the FinalBoss. ...Unfortunately, Downing's dialogue indicates that they're trying to accomplish this by having the entire building be a ''high''-pressure zone, which is ass-backwards. Even worse, this error made it through scripting ''and'' computer animation, since when Downing opens the door to the building everyone's hair flies back, consistent with the (mistakenly) high-pressure environment they're entering.
** The "Marines" in the movie wear ACU camouflage, and use M4 rifles. While the USMC does use the M4 rifle, it's only used at the NCO level or above, with Marines under that issued [=M16A4=] rifles. The M4's could at least be explained if they were Force Recon, but the fact that they wear U.S Army uniforms makes this nonsensical. It's also strange that they would be called in rather than a National Guard unit, which would be the most likely respondent to such an emergency, and would explain the ACU's and M4 rifles. But then the movie refers to them as "Marines", so it's still wrong no matter which way you slice it. So either nobody was researching anything, or the script-writers and the animators were not talking to each other.

* ArtisticLicenseMedicine: When dealing with infectious microbes, it's common practice to work with them in a zone with low air pressure, so that air is constantly being sucked into the area and aforementioned infectious microbes cannot possibly float out. According to Downing, the WilPharma building has an inflatable roof that is kept up by having ''high'' air pressure, so that air gusts ''out'' when you open the doors. Smart move there, guys.

* HighOctaneNightmareFuel: Just try and imagine what being a passenger on that plane must have been like.

* DamselScrappy: Angela. She even mentions a NoodleIncident where she impulsively dove into a river to save a child, resulting in three of her teammates getting injured when they had to save her.

Most of the points in the linked article fall under the category of RealityIsUnrealistic. It does fit the trope, but the article mostly ignores the actual character derailment to focus on minor details that can be blown out of proportion to make more dramatic statements.\\

For example, sneaking in and rescuing the survivors rather than sending in the Marines first was needed because bullets go through walls. The Marines would very likely have killed the survivors by accident if there were any zombies outside the room they were hiding.\\

Not divulging classified information to civilians hardly qualifies as being a jerk.\\

Special agents for the government actually have to work on a time table. You can't exactly tell the helicopter pilot to wait a couple hours to go on a date.
