* AntiClimaxBoss: After so many challenges the final boss comes out as an easy opponent that repeats the same tactics over and over. The only difficulty is the fact it has the two life bars.

** Ravel is a DreadfulMusician with a very damaging long range combo, but with the least health of any bosses and poor keep away moves, the fights pretty much over the second you manage to get in melee range. The rematch is only slightly harder because you have to learn the moves of his companions, but they both go down very easily.

* ExcusePlot: Even the characters joke about how ridiculous it is.

* [[LethalJokeItem Lethal Joke Move]]: The Yes Man Kablaam. It does so-so damage, has a bit of wind-up, and a very long and showy cooldown animation. It also increases your Tension by a lot, and you can ''cancel out of the cooldown by duck-dodging,'' turning it from a novelty move into another way to squeeze tension out of stunned enemies.

* PerfectPlayAI: Averted. Though it comes [[HarderThanHard pretty damn-near close]] on [[IdiosyncraticDifficultyLevels LvDie]].

** WhatCouldHaveBeen: That being said, Gene ''was'' considered for ''[[VideoGame/MarvelVsCapcom3 Marvel vs. Capcom 3]]'', but was ultimately removed from the lineup in favor of Ammy. Fans of Clover and Capcom in general wonder to this day while Capcom couldn't have simply inserted ''both characters'' into the game.
