''High School Life'' is the first season and features Candy during her late teen years. Upon transferring to Sweet Amoris High School, she meets Nathaniel, the student council president; Castiel, the resident bad boy; Lysander, a kind if mysterious boy; Armin, a geeky boy and fellow transfer student; and Ken (full name Kentin), a boy from Candy's previous school. Depending on the player's choices, Candy can flirt with and eventually date one of them. Not everything is about the boys, though; throughout her time at Sweet Amoris, Candy can befriend a variety of classmates. Not everyone is very welcoming, however, chief among them Amber, the resident AlphaBitch and Nathaniel's twin sister. HSL ran from 2011 to 2018, ending with a total of 40 episodes.

* AnguishedDeclarationOfLove: In episode 16 of HSL, Candy can kinda sorta confess her feelings in an argument with Castiel. It does not end the argument.

* {{Animesque}}{{Animesque}}: The artstyle envokes the look of the anime/manga aesthetic, mainly the exagertated facial features.

* ArmorPiercingSlap: Candy gives one to Dakota in episode 19 of HSL in the fitting room scene if she chooses to spend the rest of the date with him. She also gives one to Castiel in episode 23 of HSL if she chooses to confide in him.

* AuthorAvatar: Chinomiko, the game's designer, appears from time to time in HSL to explain the gimmick of an episode. She also explains the rules of the game to newcomers also only in HSL.
** There's also a cameo of her in the slumber party episode, where you can buy a chibi plushie of her amongst other creatures.

* BlandNameProduct:
** Episode 8 illustration with Castiel is guilty of this.
** There's also 'Gooble' and 'Wifipedia' episode 17.

* BreakingTheFourthWall: In HSL, when Candy goes to tell Castiel about what she and Li saw the night before, he guesses that you found Kiki. She comments that he's an episode late.
* BreatherEpisode: After each arc in HSL, there's a light-hearted episode before the starting the next arc.
* CanonDiscontinuity: Played for laughs. Kentin is doing his absolute best to forget that he kissed Amber once. And he's doing his best to make sure that YOU forget it too.

* ChekhovsGun: Lysander's notebook. He's mentioned occasionally to be writing in it, and sometimes you have to find it when he [[CloudCuckooLander characteristically]] loses it. [[spoiler:It's also used to get his memory back after he gets amnesia.]]

* EnemyMine: Your candy attempts to do this with Amber in episode 16 against Debrah but Amber 'politely' declines. Also Castiel and Nathaniel worked together to put on an awesome concert. They didn't enjoy working together though.
* FairyGodmother: You have one in the form of your "Auntie," who will occasionally give you gifts to help your progress in the game. The first thing you ask her in the first chapter is [[LampshadeHanging "Why are you dressed like that?]]
* FreudianSlip: Once Kentin comes back he tries very hard to keep his crush on your candy underwraps but slips up often if his LO'M is high enough. Subverted with Castiel. Anytime it sounds like he slipped up, he makes it very clear that whatever compliment he just gave you was said on purpose to make you blush.
* GeekyTurnOn: Many players found that they love Armin due to the fact that he's a gamer.

* InterruptedIntimacy: In episode 39 [[spoiler: you and your boyfriend are about to get it on but are interrupted by your mother coming home. She takes it well, though.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Castiel.
** Kentin when he comes back. Definitely more of a 'tough guy' than he was previously. But he isn't mean unless you are a jerk to him first.
* KickTheDog: She's not the nicest person, but in episode 5 when it was clear Amber was willing to let Nathaniel get suspended over her actions, it was treated as an exceptionally low blow.
* KnightofCerebus: Deborah. She kicks off the first real arc of the game and is taken much more seriously than Amber ever was. However she is completely and utterly eclipsed by a much straighter example: [[spoiler: Nathaniel's father. Once he is finally introduced to the story, the atmosphere becomes noticeably darker.]]

* LapPillow: With Castiel in episode 11.

* LittleBitBeastly: Charli, Willi, and Wenka, who all have Rabbit ears
* LockedUpAndLeftBehind: Episode 20 when [[spoiler: Amber locks you in the basement so she can get the lead role in the play.]]
* LoveTriangle: Played with all over. Each of the guys have someone who's crushing on them [[HopelessSuitor but all of these crushes are unrequited]].

* MisterMuffykins: The Principal's dog that you have to run after for the entirety of episode 3.
* MoodWhiplash: The ending of Episode 30 in a nutshell. Candy has finally managed to reconcile herself with the boy of her choosing, Dake has finally realized that she's not interested in him at all and also her team has won the prize in the art exposition! [[spoiler: And then Lysandre is ran over by a car, with little to no warning.]]

[[CovertPervert and immediately notices that he's wearing "BOXERS!!!"]] Possibly making it worse, the serious mood returns right after this line.

face!"

* MurderIsTheBestSolution: Surprisingly, it wasn't Kentin nor Castiel who thought this (though Kentin supported it). It was Armin. He even thought up to MakeItLookLikeAnAccident. For the record, he thought of this against Debrah for hurting you and for (supposedly) manipulating his brother. BewareTheNiceOnes indeed. Debrah's lucky no one wanted to go to jail.
* NerdGlasses: Ken at first before he traded them for contacts.
* NoDressCode: You can go to school in your ''underwear.''
** Justified, as the game takes place in France, where many schools really don't have dress codes (although some of the outfits are pushing this to the extreme.)
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: In episode 16 trying to tell everyone about Debrah's true nature only gets YOU hated. Luckily not by everyone, but a good majority will hate your guts.
* NotSoDifferent: Castiel and Nathaniel are more alike than either of them realize. To a lesser extent Kentin and Castiel as well
* NotWhatItLooksLike: Episode 18 in the science lab with Castiel, you throw your shirt at him to get the rabbit off of you. Then Mr. Faraize walks in.
--> [[IWasNeverHere "...I didn't see anything..."]]
* OddFriendship: The guys have such different personalities that it can sometimes be surprising to see how close they are to each other. For example [[RedOniBlueOni Castiel and Lysander]] or [[RedOniBlueOni Kentin and Lysander]]. And raise your hand if you predicted Nathaniel and Armin of all people would become best friends.
* OldFlameFizzle: Though it varies, no matter how high your LO'M with Ken/Kentin is, once he comes back it drops significantly and he says he 'moved on'. Naturally given the premise of this game you can bring it back up easily.
* PayEvilUntoEvil: Kentin kisses Amber...and then breaks her phone and calls her ugly as revenge for bullying him before.

* [[PettheDog Pet the Dog]]: In episode 12 Amber sees telling you that Nathaniel's bruises "happened at home" as her good deed of the year. She still makes you give her a $300 cellphone for that piece of info though. This actually turns out to be an unknown good deed on her part, since in truth she had no idea where he got those bruises (or even that he had them).
** Has a few genuine ones later on. In episode 17 where she admits your candy did good stopping Debrah. Her first and so far only moment of kindness she shows your candy. And in episode 18 she wants to help save the rabbits.
* PrecisionFStrike: A few curse words are scattered through out (mostly from Castiel) but the trope definitely applies to Nathaniel in episode 16 about Debrah.
-->Nathaniel(rough translation)-"That's the only good thing about that bitch coming back."
** In her internal monologue, your Candy generally avoids cursing, usually using "Goodness!", but you can call Amber's trio a censored word.
* PutOnABus: Ken leaves for military school episode 3.
** TheBusCameBack: He comes back episode 12/13.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Delivered by Nathaniel to Amber in episode 30, if you're on his route. It's a sign of CharacterDevelopment for him.

* RefugeInAudacity: Castiel makes comments about your flat chest ''in front of your'' '''''parents'''''. And all he gets for his trouble is your dad saying that you had other things to do. Makes you wonder how Armin and Kentin would've reacted since they got a DeathGlare just for talking to your candy.
** In a Valentine's Day special event, he gives you a push-up bra.
** In another of the Valentine's Day event he gives you a pair of furry handcuffs.
* RelationshipUpgrade: [[spoiler: In episode 29, after you and your boyfriend have TheBigDamnKiss, you officially begin dating.]]
* {{Revenge}}: You and the others on your side (especially Nathaniel and Rosalya) get Debrah '''''good'''''. Not only does she lose the respect and admiration of everyone in the high school, she also loses the one thing that inspired this whole mess, her singing contract. Granted, that one was [[LaserGuidedKarma more her fault]].
* SadisticChoice: Kinda. In episode 22 you have to choose between hurting Castiel [[spoiler: and getting an illustration]] or spending $180. For some players the decision was easy, for others...not so much.
* SchoolNewspaperNewsHound: Peggy
* [[ScrewTheRulesIhaveMoney Screw the Rules, I Have Money!]]: In episode 6, you're supposed to search for Rosalya's lost ring. However, if you have enough money you can just simply buy it at the store (for a very expensive price).
* SelectiveObliviousness: Amber just thinks that [[spoiler: Nathaniel gets in trouble with their father a lot]] and doesn't really know or understand the full extent of what's really going on. Later on, everyone [[spoiler: except you of course and the guy you decide to confide in]] sees Nathaniel [[spoiler: come to school with a black eye]] but fail to make the connection between that, his long absence, and the fact that his parents show up to talk with the principal.

* ShipTease: Lucy and Armin. Although WordofGod has said that every romantic rival is a HopelessSuitor, it has to be said that Lucy is the only romantic rival who has had genuine, positive interaction with one of the guys that COULD be interpreted as romantic. And it doesn't help that just a few episodes later, Armin brings her up again and hopes that she'll be at the play (and he's the only guy to do so).
** Armin later has one with [[spoiler: Amber]] in episode 39, if you're not on his route. [[spoiler: They make out in the locker room during the dance.]] It's not clear if anything will come of it, as the above WordOfGod might have become outdated after the game split into routes.

* SlumberParty: At Melody's house, in episode 7.
* SmokingIsCool: You find out in episode 4 that Castiel smokes occasionally...and then that little fact is never brought up again until ''19 episodes later''.
* StalkerWithACrush: Ken transferred schools at the beginning of the year specifically to be with you[[spoiler: Though he becomes more sympathetic with the heavy hints that he was bullied a LOT at their old school and your candy was the only one nice to him. It's understandable then why he'd follow her]]. He ''will'' jump out of random places to offer you cookies. Subverted as of his return. Even if he still likes you he doesn't follow you around as much.
** Nina follows Lysander around and always shows up to his concerts. She is also an active member and president of the Lysander fanclub (of which she and possibly your candy is/are the only member(s)). Needless to say, if Lysander likes you then Nina...doesn't.
* StatusQuoIsGod: After everything they've been through and after helping each other out on some pretty major occasions, Nathaniel and Castiel still refuse to be friends. Candy even [[LampshadeHanging Lampshades]] this by pointing out that there can't be a Sweet Amoris High without Castiel and Nathaniel fighting.
** Even after all her character development and two arcs revolving around her [[BreakTheHaughty experiencing the consequences of spreading rumours]], Peggy still thinks it's appropriate to [[spoiler: tell everyone Melody and Mr. Faraize are having an affair]] in episode 39.
* DeathGlare: ALL the girls give one to Castiel in episode 18 Though not for the reason you might think.
* EasilyForgiven: Almost all of the people who didn't take your Candy's side in episode 16 are forgiven just by saying sorry. The sole exception is Castiel who had to make several attempts (and eventually use physical force) just to get your Candy to even listen to what he had to say.
* EnemyMine: Your Candy attempts to do this with Amber in episode 16 against Debrah but Amber 'politely' declines. Also Castiel and Nathaniel worked together to put on an awesome concert. They didn't enjoy working together though.
* GirlPosse: Amber travels around with one.
* HandsomeLech: Dakota. Castiel also given how many comments he makes about your chest size.
* HeIsAllGrownUp: '''''Ken.''''' It's even {{Lampshaded}} and your candy has quite the reaction to him.
* HeCleansUpNicely: Episode 17 has Nathaniel, Kentin, and Leigh dressed up in suits.
* HighSchoolDance: In episode 39, there's a dance to celebrate your class's graduation.
** The Valentine's 2018 event also takes place during one.
* HoldingHands: Your date in episode 4. Either Nathaniel or Castiel will grab you hand while walking you home and neither will let go. Your candy doesn't think it means anything.
** Episode 20, you can hold hands with any one of the guys while waiting for the results of the auditions.
** The episode 38 illustrations have this too. (Might be a CallBack.)
* InterruptedIntimacy: In episode 39 [[spoiler: you and your boyfriend are about to get it on but are interrupted by your mother coming home. She takes it well, though.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Castiel.
** After [[spoiler: [[RelationshipUpgrade you enter a relationship with one of the guys]]]], you enter one with him and the guy you have the second highest L'O'M with.
** In episode 23, probably the darkest moment in the game up to that point occurs when [[spoiler: your Candy overhears Nathaniel being abused by his father.]] After taking a moment to digest this, she goes to check on Nathaniel in his room... [[CovertPervert and immediately notices that he's wearing "BOXERS!!!"]] Possibly making it worse, the serious mood returns right after this line.
** At the end of episode 35, [[spoiler: you and your boyfriend gloriously stand up to Charlotte and intimidate her into deleting her photos of Iris]]. Overcome with passion, you [[spoiler: kiss him... and are caught by Amber, though at this point you're a bit beyond caring]]. So needing some fresh air, you step outside, only to find a crowd surrounding Armin [[spoiler: as he is being arrested by the police]].
--> [[IWasNeverHere "...I didn't see anything..."]]
* PetTheDog: In episode 12 Amber sees telling you that Nathaniel's bruises "happened at home" as her good deed of the year.
* SchoolNewspaperNewsHound: Peggy
* ScrewTheRulesIHaveMoney: In episode 6, you're supposed to search for Rosalya's lost ring.
[[PlayedForDrama Your candy lets her have it for being so inconsiderate and never learning anything.]]
* StudentCouncilPresident: Nathaniel.
* SweetTooth: Ken, especially for chocolate cookies
* SymbolSwearing: Being teenagers, the characters do swear sometimes, but it's shown like this.
%% TeenDrama:
* TeensAreMonsters: Kentin's classmates at military school can only be described as such: they [[spoiler: bullied him severely, locking him outside during a snowstorm, forcing him to sleep in a dumpster, forcing him to drink toilet water...]] and that's just what he tells you about. The only person who was nice to him was Evan, who was 10 years older and not a teenager.
* TheFashionista: Lysander, and his brother Leigh, who runs the Clothes Shop.
* TheirFirstTime: [[spoiler: Potentially happens in episode 40. Castiel is the one exception to this, having done it with Deborah.]]
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Kim and Iris are the tomboys while Rosalya and Melody are the girly girls. Violette and Priya somewhere in the middle.
* ToneShift: Somewhere around episode 12, the game gradually starts to get darker (likely as a result of the target audience increasing in age.)
* TookALevelInJerkass: Pretty much all the guys can say mean things when they are jealous or in a bad mood, but the straight example is Kentin, who comes back from military camp with a backbone. Subverted however if you were/are nice to him.
* TrappedInAnotherWorld: The Easter episode and both of the Halloween episodes.
* UnmovingPlaid: The outfit for episode 16. It's especially evident when looking at the illustrations.
* WhamEpisode: Episode 30, though not until the end when [[spoiler: Lysander is hit by a car.]]
* WildTeenParty: In Episode 33.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: How Debrah gets almost everyone to turn against you. And she was going to do it again in the end as revenge for tricking her into giving up her singing contract.
[[/folder]]
[[folder:''University Life'']]
* CrowdSurfing: Priya's and Candy surf the crowd during Episode 20, which their illustration reflects.

* BathtubBonding: Castiel and Candy bath together during Episode 4. Castiel's dog even joins in!

My Candy Love (Amour Sucré) is a French online VisualNovel created by [=BeeMoov=] games. The game revolves around a high school girl, [[CharacterCustomization whose looks and name are completely up to a registered user]], who has just moved to a new town. The player meets a growing cast of characters, and can befriend and flirt with the boys at Sweet Amoris High.

[[TheVerse It is set in the same universe as]] VisualNovel/MoonlightLovers.

After episode 40, the game continues into My Candy Love: University Life (UL), which, after a TimeSkip, follows the player character into her final year at college, introducing a new cast of characters which includes new and old love interests. MCLUL continues with the mature tone set by the later episodes of My Candy Love: High School Life (HSL) with more drama, sex, and struggles befitting of the now adult and independent characters. Whether the plot and characters are just as appealing as HSL's depends on who you talk to.

However, the game is popular enough as after a 20 episode-run, a third sequel called My Candy Love: Love Life (LL) was released in March 2020. It is still following your original Candy avatar as a working adult living with a chosen love interest (UL love interests only). It promises the same sort of drama roller coaster that made the first two games so well-played.

My Candy Love]]''''' is an online VisualNovel created by Beemoov. It was originally released in French under the name ''[[http://www.amoursucre.com/ Original French Site here.]]

Amour Sucré]]''.

The game is split into three seasons: ''High School Life'' (HSL), ''University Life'' (UL), and ''Love Life'' (LL). Seasons can be played in any order, as each one includes a mandatory tutorial episode that lets you choose if you want to play as a newcomer or as a returning player.

You play as [[PlayerCharacter Candy]], a young women who becomes involved with the lives and minutia of her friends and peers in a small nameless city. The game has five love interests that Candy can romance.

''University Life'' is the second season and takes place four years later. After graduating from Sweet Amoris, Candy went to pursue her college degree in a different city. She has since returned to the small city in order to finish her schooling at Anteros Academy. During her stay, she meets both old and new faces. Among the old are Nathaniel, Castiel, and Priya, and among the new are Hyun, a fellow college student, and Rayan, a professor at the Academy. All five of them are potential love interests that Candy can date. UL ran from 2018 to 2020, ending at a total of 20 episodes.

''Love Life'' is the third and current season. Three years after completing her degree at Anteros Academy, Candy is the owner and manager of the Cosy Bear Café. With the help of her university sweetheart, Candy continues to navigate her adult life, with all the ups and downs that follow.

In addition to the main game, there are several events that take place throughout the year. Each event lasts anywhere from one day to a whole month, and includes several exclusive rewards, usually clothing and illustrations.

For the sake of simplicity, the customizable protagonist player character is going to be referred to as 'Candy/Your Candy/Our Candy' "Candy/your Candy/our Candy" and in with third person pronouns.

* GuideDangIt: The necessity of all the online guides cannot be overstated. Although most players get a pretty good grasp as to what dialogue choices and outfits they have to chose on average, choosing the right choice for an illustration is MUCH harder. And the consequences to missing out aren't fun either (if it's not spending more cash or action points, it's having a tough time with special events)

** The first season (High School Life) features five high-school-aged white male love interests for the female protagonist. The second season (University Life) swaps out three of them and replaces them with a male teacher of Arab descent, a male co-student/co-worker of Asian descent, and a female co-student of Indian descent (latest of which already appeared in the first season as a classmate).
** Additionally, when the game launched, only fair skin was accessible for the protagonist. Later in Season 1 custom skin tones were added, but they did not show up in illustrations. In Season 2, custom skin tones were added as a default feature, and they also show up in illustrations starting from Season 2.

** In UL, Rayan is a very interesting example. Candy enjoys him very much as her professor, but his interest in her is very evident from the start and he's her ''current'' professor which is why despite the teasing she gets, she's very reluctant to even pursue anything beyond their professional relationship (even if the player wants to). If they player does not want to pursue a relationship with him there is actually the option to set strict boundaries with him before episode 10.

* BigBrotherInstinct: Despite being the younger twin, Nathaniel tries really hard with this trope. In the beginning of HSL, he would defend her actions no matter what, even when innocent people were hurt by them. But in later episodes he would actually argue with her when she was being notably selfish and mean. In UL, they lean on each other a bit more and don't fight as often, but he still doesn't 100% agree with ALL of Amber's actions. The one consistent part of this trope however, is whenever Nathaniel finds himself in danger of any sort, he does his best to hide it from Amber to keep her from worrying.
* BigDamnHeroes: In episode 5 when Amber comes up to slap you she can be stopped by Castiel, Nathaniel, or Lysander before she even lands a blow. Happens later on when Debrah tries to slap you too but is stopped by Castiel.

** Candy isn't the only one though. Iris gets it bad in an arc centered around her and Rosalya and Melody both have some heartache in HSL AND UL.
