The main objective of the game is to have your Candy become romantically involved with one of the available romance options. Dialogue options appear many times during Candy's interactions with them and how much they like or dislike Candy depends on the choices you make. Choose correctly, and you'll be able to raise their affinity and potentially unlock illustrations. Unlocking illustrations is also mostly dependent on which date outfit you choose; most episodes include more than one, and choosing incorrectly can lead to a missed oppertunity even if that love interest's affinity is high enough.

In addition to the main game, there are several bonus episodes, the ability to customize your Candy's appearance from her physical attributes to her wardrobe, and plenty of holiday events that take place throughout the year. The events offer you the oppertunity to win exclusive clothing for your Candy and illustrations of love interests.

Slimmed down the summary.

My Candy Love (Amour Sucré, lit. Sweet Love) is an online visual novel created by Creator/Beemoov. You play as a young adult who becomes involved with the minutiae of her friends and peers in the small city of Sweet Amoris. The main character's name is up to you, though she's officially referred to as Candy.

The game is split into four seasons: "High School Life" (HSL), "University Life" (UL), "Love Life" (LL), and "Alternative Life" (AL). Seasons can be played in any order, as almost all of them include a mandatory tutorial episode. You don't have to finish one season in order to start another.

"High School Life" is the first season and features Candy during her late teen years. Upon transferring to Sweet Amoris High School, she meets Nathaniel, the student council president; Castiel, the resident bad boy; Kentin, a boy from her previous school; Lysander, a kind if mysterious boy; and Armin, a geeky boy and fellow transfer student. Depending on the player's choices, Candy can flirt with and eventually date one of them. Not everything is about the boys, though: during her time at Sweet Amoris, Candy gets into a variety of adventures (and misadventures) throughout which she can befriend one or more of her new classmates. Unfortunately, there are a couple classmates who take an immediate dislike to her, chief among them being Amber, the resident AlphaBitch and Nathaniel's twin sister. "High School Life" ran from 2011 to 2018, ending with at a total of 40 episodes.

"University Life" is the second season and takes place four years after the first. Candy has returned to the city to finish her college career at Anteros Academy. During her stay, she meets both old and new faces. Among the old are Nathaniel, Castiel, and Priya, and among the new are Hyun, a fellow university student, and Rayan, her arts professor. All five of them are potential love interests that Candy can potentially forge (or reforge) a relationship with. "University Life" ran from 2018 to 2020, ending with a total of 20 episodes.

"Love Life" is the third and final season. Three years after completing her degree at Anteros Academy, Candy is the owner and manager of the Cosy Bear Café. With the help of her university sweetheart, Candy continues to navigate her adult life, with all the ups and downs that that entails. "Love Life" ran from 2020 to 2021, ending with at a total of 16 episodes.

"Alternate Life" are spin-off seasons that focus on each of the love interests that weren't included in UL and LL. Each love interest has four episodes in which you play out part of Candy's last year at Anteros Academy with either Lysander, Kentin, or Armin. All twelve episodes were published in 2022, beginning in January and ending in November.

In addition to the main game, there are several events that take place throughout the year. Each event lasts anywhere from one day to a whole month, and they include several exclusive rewards such as illustrations of the love interests and clothing for your Candy.

For the sake of simplicity, the player character is going to be referred to as "Candy/your Candy/our Candy" and with female pronouns.

** With UL, there aren't many instances where the love interests can get jealous (since the actual dating starts as early as Episode 12), but there is one very strong instance: In Episode 11, Castiel proposes a one night stand with Candy. In UL, Candy treats some of the things her parents do as incredibly embarrassing.

* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: In HSL Episode 16, trying to tell everyone about Deborah's true nature will only make a majority of them hate Candy's guts.

"High School Life" is the first season and features Candy during her late teen years. Depending on the player's choices, Candy can flirt with and eventually date one of them. Not everything is about the boys, though: during her time at Sweet Amoris, Candy gets into a variety of adventures (and misadventures) throughout which she can befriend one or more of her new classmates. Unfortunately, there are a couple classmates who take an immediate dislike to her, chief among them being Amber, the resident AlphaBitch. "High School Life" ran from 2011 to 2018, ending with a total of 40 episodes.

"University Life" is the second season and takes place four years after the first. Candy has returned to the city to finish her college career at Anteros Academy. During her stay, she meets both old and new faces. Among the old are Nathaniel, Castiel, and Priya, and among the new are Hyun, a fellow student, and Rayan, her professor. All five of them are potential love interests that Candy can potentially forge a relationship with.

"Love Life" ran from 2020 to 2021, ending with a total of 16 episodes.

"Alternate Life" is a spin-off season that allows you to see what "University Life" would've been like with one of the removed love interests. Episodes focusing on Lysander began release in January 2022 with the fourth and final published in March of that same year. In May 2022, episodes featuring Kentin started being released, with the fourth and last one published in July.

In addition to the main game, there are several events that take place throughout the year. Each event lasts anywhere from one day to a whole month, and they include several exclusive rewards, usually illustrations of the love interests and clothing for your Candy.

"Alternate Life" is a are spin-off season seasons that allows you to see what "University Life" would've been like with one of the removed love interests. Episodes focusing on Lysander began release in January 2022 with the fourth and final published in March of that same year. In May 2022, episodes featuring Kentin started being released, with the fourth and last one published in July.

In addition to the main game, there are several events that take place throughout the year. Each event lasts anywhere from one day to a whole month, and they include several exclusive rewards, usually illustrations of the love interests and exclusive clothing for your Candy.

* AbhorrentAdmirer:
** In HSL, Kentin is this for Candy. Once he comes back, though, he is nowhere near as clingy and Candy seems to get along with him far more.
** In UL, Rayan is a very interesting example. Candy enjoys him as her professor, but his interest in her is very evident from the start and he's her current professor which is why, despite the teasing she gets, she's reluctant to pursue anything beyond their professional relationship (even if the player wants to). If the player doesn't want to pursue a relationship with him, there is actually the option to set strict boundaries with him before Episode 10.
* AbusiveParents: were raised by parents who didn't seem to care much about them as people. Their father physically abused, and their mother emotionally neglected the former. While the latter was adored by their father, she was emotionally and (possibly) financially abused by their mother. This treatment implicitly impacted their personalities and actions in HSL, and definitely had some lasting impressions in UL.
* AllegedlyFreeGame: It takes months to rake in enough action points to play through one episode, due to how much AP they use and because of how little AP you get per day by comparison. The events use AP as payment to replay the mini-games before their cool-down timers reset, and most events include an outfit that you can only obtain by purchasing AP or Gold.
* AllMenArePerverts: Pretty much all of the male love interests (expect, perhaps, Lysander) are prone to saying things that are suggestive. Castiel's the most obvious one, since he's the one that comments about Candy's bust size the most.
* AlmostKiss: Happens at several points in both HSL and UL with different love interests.

** In HSL, Amber bullies Candy during their first interaction for seemingly no reason. Deborah's manipulative nature and intentions are actually what kick off the first true arc of the game.
** In UL, Yeleen is a pseudo one for how she treats Chani and Candy. Unlike Amber, Candy has the chance to actually improve things between them and they can become friends.

* ArtEvolution. The character sprites have undergone several overhauls throughout the years. The illustrations especially show just how much the art has changed. In general, body proportions have gotten better, the lineart far more seamless, and the shading more soft and realistic. With the implementation of Live 2D, most of the sprites have become animated as well, making the characters feel more alive.

Rosalya and Leigh, Nathanial and Amber, and Castiel and his parents, for example, all seem to be contentious, but it becomes clear that they all have a genuine love and respect for one another. Subverted, however, with Yeleen and her mother: it really is as antagonistic as it first appears to be.
* BathtubBonding: Castiel and Candy bath together during LL Episode 4. Castiel's dog even joins in.
* BeachEpisode: Both HSL and UL included an episode where Candy takes a trip to the beach.
* BigBrotherInstinct: Despite being the younger twin, Nathaniel has this towards Amber. At the beginning of HSL, he would defend her actions no matter what, even when innocent people were hurt by them. In UL, they lean on each other a bit more and don't fight as often. Whenever Nathaniel finds himself in danger of any sort, he does his best to hide it from Amber to keep her from worrying.

The game is split into three seasons: High School Life (HSL), University Life (UL), and Love Life (LL). Seasons can be played in any order, as each one includes a mandatory tutorial episode. University Life and Love Life in particular lets you choose if you want to play as a newcomer or as a returning player. You do not have to finish one season in order to start another.

High School Life is the first season and features Candy during her late teen years. Upon transferring to Sweet Amoris High School, she meets Nathaniel, the student council president; Castiel, the resident bad boy; Lysander, a kind if mysterious boy; Armin, a geeky boy and fellow transfer student; and Kentin, a boy from her previous school. High School Life ran from 2011 to 2018, ending with a total of 40 episodes.
