* CanonDiscontinuity: Played for laughs. Kentin is doing his absolute best to forget that he kissed Amber wants. And he's doing his best to make sure that YOU forget it too.

Added DiffLines:

* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: The "Morale" system. Similarly to other otome games, your Morale would vary, starting at 100%, depending on what happened to you (generally it dropped when you interacted with Amber and increased when you interacted with Iris) and according to the tutorial, you would be unable to go out for a day if your Morale hits 0%. While the system remains programmed into the game, it hasn't been used since the very first few episodes, where it is in fact impossible for your Morale to hit 0.

**The face Kentin makes in episode 32 if he starts to figure out you're with Castiel frighteningly hints toward this trope.

* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: The original sprites of the game look very different from the several updates they would receive. The most noticeable is Nathaniel's, who lacks his blue color scheme in his earliest design.

* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: The original sprites of the game look very different from the several updates they would receive. The most noticeable is Nathaniel's, who lacks his blue color scheme in his earliest design. Note that many of these are simply due to the characters' clothes looking seriously out of date in the rapidly changing world of teen fashion, which was probably the main reason for [[spoiler: Amber's]] redesign.

* ArtEvolution. Evident upon comparing the earliest illustrations and character designs to the current ones. In general, proportions became more realistic, and the line work and coloring more detailed.

* BreatherEpisode: After [[VerySpecialEpisode episode]] [[TearJerker 23]], episode 24, which is pretty similar to the earlier episodes in tone, is about helping each of the guys choose a pet (it's literally called "Fuzzballs!") before a return to the more dramatic way the game's plot was developing.

* TheCasanova: Dakota (Dake) from episode 9, 11, and 19 has 'flirting with pretty girls' as one of his hobbies. He obviously prefers the player but episode 19 shows that he's no slouch is getting other women to fall in love with him (even if the player doesn't).

Added DiffLines:

* GratuitousEnglish: The French version is filled with this. The "I look so good with your boyfriend" top, Armin switching to English in order to ponder "What kind of sorcery is this?" in regards to Kentin's transformation, etc.

Added DiffLines:

** In episode 23, probably the darkest moment in the game up to that point occurs when [[spoiler: your Candy overhears Nathaniel being abused by his father.]] After taking a moment to digest this, she goes to check on Nathaniel in his room... [[CovertPervert and immediately notices that he's wearing "BOXERS!!!"]] Possibly making it worse, the serious mood returns right after this line.

Added DiffLines:

** In her internal monologue, your Candy generally avoids cursing, usually using "Goodness!", but you can call Amber's trio a censored word.

Added DiffLines:

* SymbolSwearing: Being teenagers, the characters do swear sometimes, but it's shown like this.

* {{Animesque}}

* {{Mukokuseki}}: A given, since it's drawn in a traditionally Japanese style but set in France.

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Delivered by [[spoiler: Nathaniel]] to Amber in episode 30, if you're on his route.

** In episode 23, your candy remarks to herself that she needs to buy new pajamas as she hasn't bought any since middle school, and the game promptly forces you to do that... never mind the fact that you already had to pay for new pajamas way back in episode 7.

* ShoutOut: Kentin's father is based off [[StreetFighter Guile]].

* UnluckyChildhoodFriend: Amber fell for Castiel when he fixed her doll when they were kids. They aren't even friends now if they ever were before.

* [[UsedtoBeASweetKid Used to Be A Sweet Kid]]: Inverted with Nathaniel. You learn in episode 7 (with some hints in the previous episodes) that he used to be a hellish little brat but is now the polite and respectful Student Council President. It's implied that his home life may have something to do with it.
** Played straight with Amber, who, as a result of being bullied by her brother and being spoiled for it by her parents, came out as the Amber we all know and love...'''not'''.

** In episode 31, you have the choice not to forgive Nina for [[spoiler: lying to an amnesiac Lysander about being his girlfriend]] after finding out [[spoiler: her father abandoned her family and her mother is severely depressed.]] [[VideoGameCrueltyPunishment You do miss an illustration, though.]]
